Buddy's Epic. He screwed it up. Iwas flashing with Odin (from a flash drive plugged in to computer, don't ask and don't do it) to stock. Halfway through it did this. I managed to fix it, but i wanted to share this picture.

Tabbed on my Galaxy 987
This has happened to me! Trust me, when you see that screen your heart sinks, haha. But yea it's either because the USB cord you are using is not good, or the USB port is not good. If you're on a desktop try using the USB ports on the back of the computer.
It ended up being a bad cable.

Yeah I would have just about **** myself. Glad you got it fixed.
Sent From My Evo Killer!
I get those screens ask the time flashing with odin. I just remove the batt and put it back. Re Odin. I notice the usb in the back of the pc works best. I also noticed I'm getting the color screens almost every flash attemp with odin. Not bricked, just crashed. But have you ask figured out what exactly causes those crashes? Is out really the usb cable?
Well....at firat a bad usb cable prevented the pc from detecting the phone. It would charge. But no data. I got the green screen a couple of times when flashing from Odin that resided on a thumb drive (along with the rom). I then moved everyting to local C: and it flashed fine afterwards. Don't know if it was a coincidence or a problem with using flash drives. This was from a Dell Precision Workstation with XP Pro.

oh wow I think I would have screamed in horror~!
Yea I would freak the hell out. Considering I use my phone for work, and the fact I had to pay full price for my Epic. Never done a Odin flash before, anyone have any tips and tricks for a fist timer? So I will go down the road he was in.

I had my rooted Nook Simple Touch froze on me.
Series of events:
1) I thought it needed to be charged
-So I charged it
-Still Frozen but would restart when I plugged it back in
2) I thought the root had cause something so I reformatted it using: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1289233
-Still Frozen when unplugged and restart on being replugged in
3) Reformatted again for good measure then rooted using: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1343143
-Still frozen
4) Called B&N tech Support: No help, cycle nook, turn off, cycle nook, turn off, no change, said to let it power down to 20% and that you should only charge for 3-4 hours and that you can over charge the unit??????, thanks anyways.
5) Used Ifixit.com teardown to see if there was something going on inside: http://www.ifixit.com/Teardown/Nook+Simple+Touch+with+GlowLight+Teardown/9301/1
-Took off back, upplugged battery
-Found nothing loose or broken inside
-Found a port for a cell antenna, interesting
-Unplugged the screen from the motherboard
-Put it back together
-TADA!! it works again. I think that hard resetting the battery did the trick but also voided any warranty I had. (which was none since it is over 1 year old.
I searched for a resolution to this problem everywhere and could not find one so I am putting one here. Thank you for your time.
Sorry you didn't see this, and I'm glad to see the fix being bumped - this was the thread with the fix before you needed to do the work -- but congrats on a successful self-repair and clear documentation.

Voiding Warranties since 1981
Hi everyone,
Now we have holidays ( I love it :victory: ) and a lot of free time. During the school year I studied a lot but now I can play with my lego bricks
So a few days ago I thought about annoying problem with my phone and charging it.
All time I'd like to charge my phone I have to push away my bed, plug charger to the socket and then plug the phone to the USB cable. So I thought I could build a robot which would plug charger to the socket if I turned it ( my robot ) on.
I was building it for three days ( with long breaks for sleep, meals, etc. ) and I think it wasn't easy. I have built also a charging dock for (my) the best phone -> Samsung Galaxy SIII mini
CHARGER NXT 2.0 FOR SAMSUNG GALAXY SIII MINI

I'm really satisfied with the resuls To build I have used NXT brick, one servo motor, one touch sensor and a light sensor. I used a lot of varous bricks from 9695 and 8547 sets.
How does it work?
If you want to charge your phone you have to only put your phone in the charging dock and turn on robot. When you turn program on, the lamp will also turn on. If it is green, your phone will charge. If it is red, you have to click "PLUG" and then your phone will charge. That's all
Let's see what I have done
Some photos(they are really big, I'm sorry)

Hi everyone.
I am having a big problem with my phone, and since I messed up my warranty by rooting my phone, I am gonna try to find help here, and I really hope someone knows how to fix this issue.
So I got my S7 Edge this summer straight out of the box and it was working perfect. A couple of months after that it started freezing and restarting once every week or so, but I didnt think much of it. Slowly it was doing that more and more, until the point where the screen would freeze and the phone would restart 5 times a day. Shortly after it got stuck in a bootloop. I went to the store I bought it from but since a had a small scratch on the screen they wouldnt repair it without me paying for the screen change. Since it was a lot of money I tried to repair my phone at home by rooting my phone and installing a stock firmware. That didnt work so I installed a custom rom, that worked for a day but then it got back in the bootloop. Now I cant even be in TWRP without it freezing and restarting. My question to you guys is, has anyone had this issue (I hope not because its the worst) and is there any chance I could fix this myself?
I found this picture on google that resembles how my phone looks when it freezes/crashes. It gets these small pixel on the screen, not on the whole screen like in this picture, just on parts of the screen and on different parts everytime.

I have exactly the same problem. I think is somehow power related. Happens more frequently when phone is plugged in or when there's an increase in power consumption...
Is there a fix for it? I am having the same problem.
I found out that is the EMMC and the only fix is motherboard replacement... SAD

I guess you are right since the crashes were more frequent when I had a memory card in the slot. I thought that maybe my memory card was incompatible. But the eMMC seems to be the problem
Hi all!
I'm writing here with deep hope that someone can help me somehow...
I got my 6p popped in the sea a month ago just as far s the camera glass goes. I've turned it off immediately, but because I was in a small place, didn't manage to find some phone shop or any way to open it and dismantle the battery. I did try to turned it on (stupid me) later on that day and after that left if for 2 days to dry.
My hopes rose when it did give some kind of a "life signal" when on charger but that's as far as I got...
So, when I put it on charger I get the Battery animation icon with 50% showing on the bottom, after few secs it shows 0%. Also, while on charger it just bootloops... can't get pass the Android boot animation, it just restarts. However, I can get to recovery (TWRP) and browse through it (make backups etc) while on charger it doesn't restart. The thing is that it only works with wall charger, I can't get to recovery when connected to computer via USB (so I can't even get that backup or transfer files from the phone ).
I've went to two phone repair shops in my town, but both said that it's dead. The thing is I'm not sure that they even tried with new battery, because this is a rare phone in my country and they probably don't even have one to try...
Anyway, I've ordered new battery, but I'm afraid if that'll help... I would like, at least to connect it somehow to my computer and try to transfer files and maybe do some factory resting or loading an image...
I have some pics from one of the repair shops, so I hope someone could help me determine if there is any help with it?
Thanks in advance!!!
Cheers,
Djape

Seriously? This is an absolute waste of time and money. Bin.
Hey,
could someone please recommend the best possible software/way how to recover just photos from this Xiaomi device?
Phone dropped from ridiculous 40cm on concrete. The display is without any visual damage but not working at all. The right top back corner of the phone is just slightly shattered.
I feel vibration response when I am trying to turn it on, I just don't know how to enter data inside the phone, because if I connect it via cable, it won't show the connected phone in my computer.
I can't even explain how disappointed I am with the fragility of this device...
Any help will be really appreciated.

Device manager shows USB device connected, but is there any possible way how to access files this way? Phone is probably locked, cant click anything to set up file transfer I just cant google anything.
Any suggestions?
you could try using otg cable and mouse - click and if you've got luck you unlock it and connect it to file transfer, but that's highly unlikely. best option is to replace lcd or attach lcd just to set app for pc screen mirroring - I used it to recover data from android, but you have to allow pc connection
