Hey folks. I've got the brand-new Android Market running great on my Epic running Android 2.2 DK28. It has not been officially released but has been leaked and hosted.
You can pick it up here: http://www.androidpolice.com/2010/1...id-market-apk-ripped-posted-for-all-to-enjoy/
Disclaimer: I'm not responsible if it doesn't work great on yours.
EDIT- Found a thread about this posted before mine over in Themes and Apps. My bad, I checked but must not have noticed it.
Every time I've tried to install the APk it says there was a parse problem. I've never seen this before as I've installed a lot of apks and updated my. Market manually the last time. I've tried different websites with the APk. Even tried it by downloading it on my computer and putting on the root of my sd card and trying to install it thru astro. What am I doing wrong?
I went right to the article I linked above through my browser on my Epic, clicked on the "You can find it here" link, which sent me to http://www.multiupload.com/B6Y171MCYU.
From there, I clicked on the MegaUpload link, http://www.multiupload.com/MU_B6Y171MCYU, waited the 45 seconds, downloaded it to the Epic, launched it, installed over the old Market, and started it.
Thanks! Works great!

Just want to share with you guys..
I finally get the new market to work (no fc anymore) by coincidence, after flashing the new update of cyan for milestone..
Here's what ive done,
first of all, i backup the old market (mine was v1.8) using titanium..
and then i insert the new market to the "gapps-hdpi-20101114-signed.zip" file, by replacing the old market/vending.apk
after flashing cyan, then i flash the gapps file that have been modified before.. the installation worked great..
after that, i tried it.. it's fc as usual.. then when i was going to revert it back to the old market using titanium, theres only data only, i tried that..
amazingly, it the new market worked.. i dont know how, but it worked..
im now downloading apps from the market.. well i hope it'll work for you also..
and so sorry for my bad english.. thx..
Hi agamahendra! Which vending.apk do you use?

hey good people,
I have the same issue with android market force closing all the time. It happened a couple of days after it updated to the last version.. I uninstalled the update - nothing. I uninstalled market and installed a new market apk - nothing. I installed a previous version of market - it did open but as soon as I went into "my apps" it force closed again. Then i went into system/app/vending.apk and installed it again - nothing. I even fixed all the permission thru rom manager - still nothing. As soon as open market it force closes immediately...
I even tried some stupid suggestion to go into settings/language and chose english as a default again, cuz apparently it helped some ppl.. but no, didn't fix it for me..
I have a rooted HTC desire with Leedroid 2.3d (froyo) ROM..
Please help me! somebody, anybody, i can't get my head arround this thing..
the only thing i could do was reflashing my rom. and dont useing market enabler.
i think it was the gmail update or market update from the states.
I just tried to install HBO Go from the Adroid Market website and it told me that it's not compatible with my device. It doesn't even show up in the Market when I go there on my Evo. Has anyone been able to install it successfully? If so, how?
I got it installed on mine, haven't tried to watch anything yet (data speeds still suck in my area) but it seems to work.
Works for me.

So were you able to install it directly from the Market or what? Are you stock? Rooted? Custom ROM???

I got the app to successfully install on my EVO running Rooted Stock 3.70, the roadblock I hit with the app is that Time Warner Cable isn't a supported provider yet
So I'm pretty much in the same boat as you, albeit different situations

Installed fine running cm7
from my phone duh
Some of you guys said you got it installed and that it works, but didn't say how you installed it. So anyway, my only guess is that it's because I'm running the leaked Gingerbread ROM.

Yea, I did. Just looked up hbo go in the market, came up with 3 results, hbo go being the second one, and installed fine.
In the same boat as you. Running the new Fresh Gingerbread rom, and it doesn't show up in my Market. I can find it on market.android.com, but it won't install.
How did you find/install it?

Regarding the missing apps, I found a link to a file called fix.apk, which is a Market Fix. It's in this thread, 5th post down:
http://www.droid-life.com/2011/04/29/hbo-go-released-on-android/
You have to install it like you do any other apk, then go to your app drawer and open it(Market Fixer) and apply the fix. Reboot your phone and you should see all apps that exist in the Market.
Yes I did just now it works good.

Good luck!
