I have a non rooted, XOOM running 3.0.1 and everything seemed to be great but for some reason when I start the CNN app from an icon it starts up fine and then a second or two later either closes or force closes everytime without fail. I've tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it. I've tried rebooting the XOOM as welll. Still happens and I can't figure out why - it may have been the 3.0.1 update.
I usually use the CNN widget to launch videos/stories and that still works fine without issue. But if I try launching it with the app icon it crashes.
Anybody with 3.0.1 not having this issue? I'm not sure what else to try at this point other than to accept it's a bug and move on for now.
I had an update waiting for me in the Market this morning for CNN. Try updating and see if its still happening.
LOL, will have to wait until I get home. Hopefully that will fix it. I have to say though, the CNN app on XOOM is very slick and a better implementation than the current iPad one (although similar).
i get a lot of force closes as well. the update fixed some issues, but i still cannot play video since the 3.01 update. anyone else have this issue of videos not playing in CNN app?

yes it is fixed by update
Fixed!
i had the exact same problem. I couldn't keep the app open and then when it did open it wouldn't play videos. I was able to fix the issue by going into the settings, then applications, then click on the CNN app and finally click clear data. You will get a warning click OK. Now open cnn it will say opening for the first time. It should work well now, this worked flwlessly for me.
Which cnn app? I see several and want the good one

Since I updated to the new Orange .66 ROM earlier today, I can't download any apps from the marketplace.
I try and then the download just hangs saying 'Starting download' as does nothing. I've left it 'downloading' for ages but it didn't do a thing.
I can search the marketplace etc but just can't download.
Any idea?
Checked all of my data connections, everything is fine, exchange emails are coming through. Even tried it with WiFi enabled and connected.
It's driving me mad as I updated the ROM using the RUU installer which wipes everything on your phone. I now can't download the apps I need.
Sorted. Everything suddenly came back to life without me doing anything. Must have just been a minor blip for a couple of hours
It's a quite normal problem many users are experiencing. The usual fix is in fact to log in on the Gtalk app (believe it or not)
I'm using stock rom and have the same problem.

So you open Gtalk and then the downloads should start or do you have to stay in Gtalk until they're done downloading? I tried opening it and then going back to the Market Downloads and they hadn't started yet.

Good it worked out for you. Have fun downloading from market
I loaded up EB13 last night and had no issues until I started downloading my apps. I have Slingplayer that I purchased to watch my Slingbox on my phone while on the go. If I search the Market it is missing. At first I thought it was something with paid apps, but I noticed my other bought apps were listed. I also noticed Ringlert was not listed in the market...a free app.
If I login into the Market on a PC web browser I can find those apps with no issues. But it says I have them installed on my phone already. Umm..no I don't!
Anyone else having issues like this?
There seem to be some people, myself included, that are having issues with protected apps. I noticed that NYTimes is not showing up and neither is TMZ. I need to try a clean install and see if I still have the problem, I cannot tell if this issue is happening after a data restore from CMW, or if its a real bug. Did you do any data restore?
The problem is the market does not recognize this release as a legitimate. It will take a few days before it does. There is a fix you can apply if you search for it in the device section.

Kinda figured something like that... think that's the i9000 fingerprint fix or something like that.
Also, try to contact the developer of the app. They might be able to change something that might make it work.
Just for the Record, I'm having the same problem as well. I Installed the EB13 and Slingplayer isn't listed in the Market, I'll wait a few days to see what happens. Hopefully it's back in there cause I really don't feel like screwing around with crap.
Im having the same problem .... cant find Slingplayer in market after EB13 ... Does anyone have the fix??????????

metallica said in a previous post that there is a fix somewhere the development section. it has to do with the i9000 fingerprint. search for it.
I can not find it. I wish someone could post a link to it. And do I have to root the phone to use the this FIX?

I'm not sure about the i9000 fingerprint, but here is the Nexus One fingerprint.

And yes, you must be root to use this fix as you will be editing a system file (/system/build.prop).

This is the old fix here
Same problem. I have eight or so apps that I used to have that either can't see in the market after applying EB13, or that come up as "not found" on AppBrain now. Google customer service suggests that I reboot my phone. *sigh*
From Google:
Hello Rob,
Thanks for writing in. We believe we have identified the cause of this issue and should be able to resolve this within next seven business days.

Slingplayer still missing. Missing on another phone that isn't rooted. He refuses to root his phone.
Clearing the cache won't help with this problem. It's on Google's side.
If you are rooted, you can always backup the apk file while on the old 2.1 or DK28 build when it showed up in the market, then reinstall by hand after loading EB13
This is now resolved for me.

Saw this myself today. Tried multiple times. Changing different models..ex.. HTC Vision, Nexus S and nothing was working. I was really hoping that with the new update it would have been possible to use netflix on Bravo.
install fine. starts to stream BUT stops after a second. goes back to home page of netflix.
I have had my transformer for two days now. At first the flash player worked okay. Yeah, there was lag when watching videos in 720p, but whatever. Today, however, when I went to YouTube to watch a video, it wouldn't play and gave me an error message saying that flash player needs to be updated. I checked the market and there are no updates available (I'm currently running version 10.3.185.25). I even tried uninstalling it and then reinstalling it and rebooting the transformer, but to no avail.
Thanks for any advice.

That won't work because I'm trying to watch YouTube directly from the browser, but that did give me an idea. I went to my applications and I cleared the data and cache for the browser. This time when I went to YouTube it worked!

Great, Bluetooth doesn't work. I really hope that I'm just doing something stupid which is causing this problem. When I went to connect my magic mouse and apple wireless keyboard to the transformer they paired and said connected. Everything seemed fine but when I went to move the mouse, no cursor appeared on the screen. Also, when I tried to type something with the keyboard nothing would happen. I have tried unpaining and repairing but that doesn't work either. I really like the device and don't want to have to exchange it for an issue like this.

Ok so I have the newest marketplace and it has an annoying bug. When I click the install button in the top right before the page of the app has loaded fully (screenshots for example) it will keep saying "loading" and it will not go to the page where I have to confirm my download, till I close the market in the task manager, and then to wait for the whole page to load before clicking install. Anyway to resolve this issue?

try wiping the cache of market through settings if you can
This is a known issue. Its a bug or something in market version 3.1.5. Lots of people on different handsets have it. There is no know fix. Some have reported that clearing the cache helps others not.
The big point to note is that not everyone has this issue. Could be region related or something but its an known issue. Different roms seem to have no effect on the bug. Its been logged somewhere on the google android issues blog thing.
Some people have downgraded the market version and then frozen the market updater (using titanium backup) to stop it from re downloading. The older versions dont seem to have the same issue (they may of course have other issues)
Im personally going to live with it and wait for the next version which i hope fixes it.

Thank you. As this is a known issue it is not really a problem to me. We'll just hope google releases a fix soon.
I have the same issue. Hope they resolve it soon.
why dont you all just downgrade your market till they fix it? anyway there is a new market update 3.1.6
Guys. If you have problems with market you should uninstall updates and use the older one. no problems at all. I allways hated the new market. but I will have to get used to it sooner or later.
I like the new app-market actually. But one time when I uninstalled the updates, it wouldnt update back anymore.. So if I were to go back to the old market till they release an update, how could I update it to that version again.

Hi
I'm also tired of this but. In order to solve problem then it occurs, I use "Fast reboot". It boots the hole phone in 2 seconds, and after that I can use Market again (until next time it hangs) LOL

I've only come across this problem sometimes when dealing with updates for installed apps, usually if I wait a while and try to update the app again the page loads and I can install the new version.
