I made in the kitchen a circle battery zip for the latest redux snapshot 03112011 testrom.
Tested by myself and it's work fine
100% - 30% = Green
29% - 15% = Orange
14% - 0% = Red
Flash in recovery
Have fun with it!
Please add more info on this - Which mod is it for? and what version?
And a screenshot would be nice too.
Sorry......your right.
I was forget that.
There is a new version of redux (1.1.0)
I'm going too try build a new one in the kitchen.
First zip wasn't working. Phone gets stuck on with HTC screen.
Ok, so we should not flash this one ?
Thanx
D
does it work on redux 1.02 ?
I also had a lot of Problems with UOT Kitchen and Redux 1.0.2, 1.1.0 and 1.1.1
In the new Version 1.1.1 RC1 (themed) you don't need UOT kitchen. A good solution is implemented.
Well, I am not so much happy with the solution, but at least there is one with percentage.
Still, what is strange, circle mod i found in UOT, for 1.1.0 works fine in that version, but bugs my phone icon into USB icon - instead when i use it in 1.1.1 RC-1.
Anyhow, I will wait up for another mod, and maybe try to make myself one of my own in UOT kitchen.

you have to try by yourself, as I dont have Redux rom.
but it should work, as kitchen cooks files without errors.

Hi - my Hero's !
Are U looking for a real hero ROM?
I totally agree with the quote from rdejager @ villainrom.co.uk/forum :
We can all face it - the hero is not made for 2.2 and even more 2.3 .... Our phones are just not made for 2.3 sense and 2.2 sense .... 2.1 sense roms run fine on the hero. and you can really see that they are made for it, cuss everything just works for it, the hardware is made to the software...

So - do U want to use the power of our long development journey in a fresh ROM?(based on WWE Android 2.1 with htc sense 2.1)
Good News:
-> Repack ROM from elelinux based on stock ROM 3.36.405.1!
-> VillainROM v13.0 Release * WWE * Android 2.1 *
-> other 2.1 roms
How do U tweak them? How du U like them?
Thankx for any helpful suggestions!
http://www.ekg-clan.de/pasta/hrdb/index.php?site=a21 choose the one you like most they are all good. but if you want only one named: Cronos 2.1.4.1 Sense Eclair
@iPasta: Thankx for the link - nice overview!
Like to try a 2.1 SenseROM again after spending a couple of months on Ginger & Froyo.
At first I want a speedy and stable build.
I have just tried to flash 7.0 v1.0 (Elelinux) - and no, it is still noticeably slower than Elelinux-6.2.0-RC0-Hero-Speedmachine rom (6.2). Slightly faster that 7.0 v0.9, but still far beyond 2.2. So; is it possible that a 2.1 feels again more faster?
Will report back my impressions - if U like!
I would suggest Mr. Bang's 2.1 Sense ROM. It is, apart of Cronos, the latest updated 2.1 ROM, and is by far smaller in size (nearly 30 MB!). In addition FlyKernel-12a is a good choice
@Krizp0 : Thankx! So:
Do U agree with:
"After a long time playing with 2.2-non-sense-ROM's, I returned to 2.1-Sense.
--> Nothing smoother than 'Mr. Bang's 2.1 Sense ROM' with FlyKernel 12a."
Well, I know I went from 2.3 Gingerbread to Mr. Bang's 2.1 Sense ROM and felt very satisfied with the speed and stability of good old 2.1, especially since Sense makes your phone full and not fragmented so you have to download widgets and other things to get it as you want. The only thing you may miss is the new functions and apps that require 2.2+.
Edit: I also encourage you to take a look at Tegro 2.5 RC3, it is very Sense-like, but I haven't tested it.
If you want a rom that is A sense rom 2.1 for the HTC Hero GSM and build for it and that just works 100%.
Use Villainrom 12. You can customize it with their kitchen. It may be old, but that doesnt mean its crap .
I myself flashed FlyKernel 11C BFS over it and it works fine here .

That. And BTAudio just works. And I can't remember an app being installed in less then a sec.. ever XD.
Why not cook a VillainROM 12 + (12.1 / 13) !?
Thankx for the suggestions - looking again for VillainROM (i'm a donator)!
I'm impressed and feel backed in my plan to downgrade to 2.1 sense Rom.
My question now is:
How do we can make "VillainROM 12" or other "2.1" Roms more stripped and tweaked?
What do U recommend?
- FlyKernel 12 / Implement Kernel tweaks.
- OpenGL
- EGL
- Gallery 3D
- Latest Gapps
- Implement HTC Hero OTA update 3.36.405.1
So - why not cook a VillainROM 12 + (12.1) !?
I am trying to implement this OTA into VR12.1.
Will play with the OpenGL things too

Jahooo! *perfectly happy*
Which kernel do U include into 12.1?
So far as I know a modded version of FlyKernel 11C Cuss 12A is buggy, for me it is unstable and I dont like it. now running 11C on Villainrom and well it runs smoother then 12A

Pulsar had a modded version of Flykernel 11C in his Froydvillain release. I was refearing to that.
What did I tweak. well the lockscreen, battery Icon, and I removed like 90% of the apps. and I updated EGL. And well I love it.
Now I am on Flykernel 12A M652-M176-noatime
I got awesome battery life.
I went back to Ginger for a test. and well no that was a no go....
The speed in Villainrom is insane.

RCMix is nice and all, but still even VR12 is bloated but RCMix, man... even if you remove all that crap. You can never get the speed of VR12.
@rdjager: How did you update the EGL in VR12?
Hey Guys,
So I have been using UOT Kitchen to cook up some battery MOD's for my ROM. Currently using Bionix-V 1.3.1. I have a question to ask tho. Could someone please tell me the hex colour values on UOT Kitchen used to get Gingerbread lime/green typish colour. I can't seem to get it perfectly right, I am always off [sometimes it's too dark or too light].
Help is much appreciated!!!!:
Thank You,
Hi,
I'm currently using SwiftDroid m4. Now I'm not sure whether I should update to RC4 or try out AOSP. Can someone tell me the advantages and disatvantages of each rom? I know, that there are some older threads which deal with this topic. But I think AOSP has developed very fast ind the last few month.
Thanks
G00fY
the best way to find out is to spend an hour or two testing both ROMS to see what you like the best and stick with it
Swiftdroid have Theme Choser, and that is big + for me.. But AOSP is clean and more stable.

Well, I bought Launcher Pro, so I think that I won't miss the theme choser.
But does AOSP also allows to put quick settings in the pull-down bar at the homescreen? Thats a feature I wouldn't miss.
Yes, eoghan2t7 maby I just try out AOSP and see how it works for me. But why do you use swiftdroid?
An other question: I followed a data2system guide last time before I flashed to swiftdroid m4. Do I need to do it again or how can I use data2system with the latest AOSP??

Yea, I'll be updating this ROM as AOKP updates. To the best of my ability of course, I'm still finishing up my final year of high school here D:
UPDATE: Working on getting this updated to aokp b33!

nice, i just read up on what odex and deodex is cuz of this thread. i dont theme ICS like i did with GB ROMs so this should be good
me too for the most part, and minor png changes can still be done. Im still in love with the stock holo theme.
I'll add in the buttercream theme that's posted for AOKP b33. I can only port themes for this rom that were originally made for aokp b33, so if you see one, then ask!
At last
an ICS ODEXED release, I dreamed to have such ROM so many times. I think it will be my favorite from now on.
thanks a lot for your work
haha no problem! ill try to optimize it more and add in the themes sometime today...
