For some strange reason i appear to have every photo i've posted on Facebook in the photos section in my phone . I can't delete them in the normal way

thats right.. you view your pictures of ur FB from ur phone, but i think its not saved into your phone..

No it wont. If you connect the phone to the pc and check all the albums zune, you will see only those physically saved on your phone. Those FB albums were just showing a preview, and you need data connection to view it.

That's not quite true.
What actually happens is that when you first view the album you will, indeed, need a data connection to view the album, but then the photo thumbnails are cached to the phone.
If you don't have a data connection when you view an album, which you have already cached, then the only thing that is different is that you'll get a message saying "cannot update album at this time". If you try to click on an image, you won't be able to view it.
Oh and the cache remains even after a reboot.
Try it yourself
But let me just say, it's only the thumbnails of the photos that are saved, not the full res photos.

tried it this morning. works fine. perhaps they can add a sync option between outlook and myphone so automaticly my outlook at home is also updated.

I get double the contacts and tasks when I use myphone and outlook together
no synch for storage card = fail
It has the option just greyed out so hopefully this will be available at some point then I can use it. I can't fit all my pics and vids on my phone memory.

Can anybody confirm how much space this takes up, or whether it can be installed on the storage card?
Works well, nice to have somewhere to backup my txt over the air. Mind you most of it is useless if you have an exchange server to sync contacts and emails, calendar info.
I already useed the closed beta for a while and it's working well!
Not try my phone yet. but did on google sync. found a problem on google sync. google won't accept big size of photo in contacts. google will resize the photos. Anybody has the same issue on my phone as well?
I've been using this for some time now. Got in beta right from the start which was nice. And I can't imagine not having this piece of software anymore. Especially nice when you upgrade ROMs a lot (like I do ).

is there a way someone could upload the installation file for the touch screen one? the Microsoft official site seems to be upgrading and the official install URL is broken...
it's not really good..it doesn't find any duplicates even when they are present..and it doesn't know merge contacts..

I just installed the facebook app... Although it looks quite nice, it seems to have a major problem with the comments: For example, if several people comment on my (or a friend's) status update, only the uppermost comment is shown. You do not even know that other comments exist!
Since FB is a social networking tool, and the comments (and the "likes" for that matter, which also seem not be supported) are a fundamental way to communicate within it, the app will be of no use unless these issues are addressed. I do not know whether there is a newer version of FB for mobile available soon, but this one unfortunately is of no use to me...

You can uploading photo to FB with the client Facebook of Microsoft, but you must have a good data connection and the photo should have a resolution of 1M

I upload from my TD2 by email - see http://www.facebook.com/mobile/?ref=pf. Just click on 'send my upload email to me now' and you will be given a dedicated email address.
To send photos, tap the envelope icon in the TD2 album and enter the email address. Whatever you put in the subject line of the email then appears as the photo caption.
Use ShoZu for uploading, gives you a popup immediatly when you've snapped a photo, "upload to facebook?".
Use FB integration for other FB-use. (search forum: "Facebook integration, what is it and how to get it back")

Anywayz, I have my facebook account linked to my HD2. Everytime when i update fb information, all my friends photos are updated except for myself. Which means my photo is still the default htc one. Anyone help on how to change my own photo is greatly appreciated.

Are you looking at a contact you have named as yourself or the contact card ME that appears at the top of all people?
If you are looking at ME. Open the contact and click on the photo in the top right. You will see a list of options that tells Manila where to get the picture from.

In that case.... I have a problem.... repeated tapping of the contact image on any other person (well tried 5 so far, some with images some with none) and nadda
Mine does not update photo's or status' unless I click Update manually, even though it's set to auto update every two hours, I think the FB app is crap TBH

i have a sync problem with facebook. am using official 1.61 rom.
when i try to upload a photo with media uploader, or try to change my status (all people/me/facebook ) it works fine. but i havent associated any of my contacts with facebook. when i try to link i cant find any matches. and also i cant see my or others photo albums (albums/F). my chachesize registry is default (0).
sorry if this asked before. i searched forum but couldnt solve this.

The matching program is pretty straight forward, it looks for first name AND last name, and they need to be exactly the same otherwise it won't find it. Do you have full names for everyone in your list?

you on t mobile? or another provider that uses a proxy?

"this network connects to the internet" checkbox is checked. no proxy.
i still can update my status. it works without wi-fi. but cant see albums. allways it says "this user has no albums to display" (
could be related to the recent changes that fb have been rolling out. my missus has had nothing but trouble with fb this past month. never anything on her wall, has to jump back and forth between pages for around 2 minutes before it populates.
i dont think so. coz it works fine when i connect via wi-fi.
solved.
the problem was my connection. it doesnt work if i connect via edge. it works fine if i use 3g or hspda. it s really annoying tht it doenst give any error report or msg about this.

Interesting, I have the same exact problem on my phone, even when it's connected to 3G. Any ideas?
The pictures got removed by zune software while syncing my samsung focus. It uses windows mango and the pictures where stored in phone memory.
How can I recover it?

Normally, the photos are synced to the phone exactly for this reason. Did you delete the Pictures folder? If so, in then check in the phone, Pictures, see all, (goto the tab) date, and check if they're still there. If not... I hope you have a full backup.
