So none of the builds here are compatible with tmo hd2?

i was thinking of getting a miui rom for my hd2 but upon reading how to flash hard spl i came across something that said that not all builds are compatible with the tmo hd2 is this true? does this mean i can run miui on my hd2?
i saw this video an it seems his phone is tmo also, so can i just put any build on my tmo hd2?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cRRWBp5l9jk
I believe you just have to find a certain HSPL first for the TmoUS HD2. I have one and I have no problem running any of the Android builds. There is a separate guide for HSPL the TmoUS HD2. I believe it was this one http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=653614 . As for the android builds, just set up T-Mobile APNs if its not already there, and if you're in the US some of them may require you to download Morelocale2 from the Market to change it to English US.
Here's another recent TMOUS build, found this on page 2 of this forum.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=820696
Hi all! i have tmous, and i can use the more of android rom. Currently used by vbn rom, it's good because stock 885 mb and 443 Mb RAM and frees me up in it autoboot. MIUI ruins only problem I've tried the ringtones do not play I do not know why. The cyanogen and running and the evo is going to ruin. The definition does not always succeed in ruins.
My phone TMOUS
Radio 2.15.50.14
rom 3.14.351.1
I have used alot of builds on my tmous HD2 for ages, even without putting HSPL on my device. All these builds should work even on a completely factory device. Although, i think you have to enter apn settings to get data working for tmo, i have never used tmo so i have no experience with that.

Sergio76 CoreDroid v0.8 is a perfect build. It is available in 2 versions: TMOUS and NON-TMOUS. As I live in the Netherlands, I use the non-tmous of course and that build is very good.
You could read the threat first. There is plenty abous TMOUS.

First of all, your question doesn't belong in this forum. If you'll post your question in the proper place, you will probably find more help.
Secondly, HSPL has NOTHING do do with android on the TMOUS HD2.
The flash update programs (and HSPL) will not run on a MAC. You will either have to use a Windows machine OR use Virtual Box with Windows on the MAC. If any of this is over your head, you should probably do some more research before trying to flash your phone.
I did some research i didnt know it would be a problem that i was using a mac... so i download virtualbox an then?
Bootcamp is your friend
ok so after i install hspl do i still need windows to install builds or am i ok with a mac to install builds?
first...let me be clear.....you don't need to do hspl, you don't need custom rom to have android on your hd2. all you need to have is a radio version of 2.08 or above...since yours is a tmous, it mostly will have a radio above 2.08
you run android from sd card, so all you need to do is to drag and drop the build of android onto your sd card...windows/mac doesnt matter for dragging and drop files to sd card
all android builds in this forum run on tmous well, so just stop losing yourself too deep into the forums, check your radio version..if it is.>2.08.xx....copy any android folder to sd card and you are good to go ! ..if radio is less than 2.08, then all you need is to do hspl, flash only a higher radio (no need for custom ROM)
hope that makes it clear to you

Quick WP7 advice

Hey guys, I got a second hand HD2 from ebay, so far i;ve been using it with android running from the SD but now i'e decidedto give wp7 a try.
the device came with MAGLDR 11.13 & WP7 7.0.7004.0 pre installed. I'm not sure which actual ROM it is.
I;ve read all the guides on updating to a newer ROM from the dev section of this forum, but im worried about nricking the device.
when I plug my phone into the Zune application to sync music, it offers me an update. I tried this update but it failed, is there any way I can update easily through Zune? or do I need to reflash a ROm such as this one.....
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1157535
Also, in my current situation, is it as simple as downloading the ROM & running the EXE with the phone plugged in?
I wnt a later version formnumerous reasons, mainly the lackofmauto focus in the camera z- allphotos are blurry!
SOrry for being captian n00bing, im just startiong out with WP7!
Hi,
It's not possible to update your HD2 WP7 with Zune. It's only for official WP devices.
To flash new WP rom, I advice you to begin with a Task29 (clean the phone), flash radio (2.15.... recommended), flash MAGLDR 1.13, and flash the WP rom you want.
Good luck

Thanks for the reply mate.
Task29 clears the NAND if im correct, will that remove MAGLDR too? So I'll have to reflash MAGLDR 1.13?
Can anybody provide me with a n00by-friendly link to a guide on this? The phone came with MAGLDR 1.13 so i;ve no experience with WP7! I'm an Android man!
Could you also recommend a stable day-to-day ROM? I'm not bothered about Mango (unless theres a super-stable version) so anything NoDo would be fantastic.

in some cases task29 has created some issues with Wp on the HD2
just boot in to MAGLDR, go to USB flash, connect it to your PC and then run the exe from the ROM of your choice, i would strongly recomend staying with Yukis ROM, if you have issues with it then consider SD Card flashing a stock WM ROM and starting again. HSPL>RADIO>MAGLDR>WP7
The SD card is the problem, if you get one that works, you'll be fine, there is NO compatible list of SD card!

HD2 leo Rom selection

I am lookinng for anyone that might could point me in the right direction od selecting a rom to flash for the HD2 leo. I havent messed with the hd2 much and have a samsung focus that i have been hacking since they first came out. I am wanting to know if anyone may have a good suggestion for putting the ICS on the HD2, not sure if i should install with sd card or flash the rom to the device? I have been reading up on some things but am still not sure what way would be best. I am not new to flashing roms but am new to the HD2 and ICS. Anyone with any information that could help me choose the right ICS to install would be greatly appreciated!!
Thanks, jason

I haven't personally used any ICS builds but I can definitely say flash a NAND Android ROM and probably choose the AOKP build judging purely by the OPs (not AOSP, really no point in that). If you want something different try MIUI ICS builds, I personally never really liked MIUI that much but give it a try.
if you want an ICS rom that is stable use Tytung's NexusHD2-ICS-4.0.3-CM9..its the best one out there.. here is the link:

First i want to thank both of you for replying to my post. I have downloaded the nand tool kit but cant seam to find the drivers for it, i am getting a fed anti piracy error from both the nand tool kit and also from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1090783
I have been reading and looking all about flashing the ICS Cm9 and seams pretty good, the only thing that is confusing me is the the radio. I see that i have to run MAGLDR and then CLK, but am unsure about radio. Here are the other guids i been refering to also about doing the flash.

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=611433
So when i flash this rom do i have to use the nand tool kit to flash or can i flash just using DLMODE and MAGLDR? Thats the way i flashed my samsung focus rom.
Again thanks for your reply!!

[q] How to update after build 7392?

Hi Guys and Girls,
I just got my HD2 today and installed Phone 7 using XBMod/Yuki 2.1.
Now the phone is updated with Zune to version 7.0.7392.0 but instructions aren't clear on how to proceed further.
Offcourse I want the latest version of Phone7.
I can't find links to hd2 7720 fix.rar, and deviceprovisioning.cab.
Can anyone help me further?
Thanks,
Bart
Try this one.
U should try another rom like this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1534941
That rom update our HD2 to 8773 and no need update by Zune any more.
Anything u need to do is
1. task29 the phone and format your sd card to make sure the phone run smooth.
2. Reinstall MAG and choose USB install, wait few second and run DAF from zip file.
Sorry for my bad Eng.
Have fun.
dont forget to unlock card before change ROM
i recommend this rom

Well guys, I need a bit more then that.
What's the difference between the Rom's you mention?
How do I 'Task29' the phone?
How do I know my SD Card isn't locked?
Thanks

Questions for T-Mobile before flashing

Hello Guys,
so finally i've bought one T-Mobiloe HD2 now(after so many research), all thanx to members from here
but now i'm on phase 2 aka flashing the new ROM's, but as everyone i also have lots of queries, so please clear them as much as you can.
i have this radio version 2.10.50.26, Mister B suggested me to flash this radio 2.12.50.02_2
Q.1 so i can install 2.12.50.02_2 over my 2.10.50.26 ?
Q.2 what are the reasons that someone can brick his T-Mobile HD2 ??
Q.3 so i need to install this new radio only for once or the everytime i install 6.5/7.5/android ??
Q.4 how big memory card i need to install dual boot of 7.5 and ICS(8/16/32 GB, i prefer the lowest as the phone speed will be decreased with a big memory card) which one works best ?
Q.5 what i need to take care of to avoid bricking my device ?
Q.6 what are the manual settings for 3G for Vodafone India ?
sorry guys for so many questions i'm so exited
also please tell me what i need to do first and second and than after that ........
like do i need to flash a radio first or do the HARD SPL.......or the MAGLDR........??

Yes, as long as you have HSPL
Q.2 what are the reasons that someone can brick his T-Mobile HD2 ??
Flashing an EU radio (x.xx.51.xx)
Q.3 so i need to install this new radio only for once or the everytime i install 6.5/7.5/android ??
Only once
Q.4 how big memory card i need to install dual boot of 7.5 and ICS(8/16/32 GB, i prefer the lowest as the phone speed will be decreased with a big memory card) which one works best ?
Depends entirely on how you want to use it. I don't think a bigger card would decrease speed though, but you can do some research on that if you want.
Q.5 what i need to take care of to avoid bricking my device ?
Make sure you only flash a 2.xx.50.xx radio.

Thanx Nigeldg,
now thats a reply i like with short words that explains everything
please answer them too
Q.1 i was thinking about buying a 16GB microSD class 10 card.....is this good enough for a dual boot of WM7.5+ICS(i will only install 5-10 apps per OS) ??
Q.2 now as i have flashed a HSPL 2.08 do i need to update is later for other ROM's,,,,or this same HSPL will work for every ROM ??
Q.3 what is a CWM ??
Q.4 please guide me for a dual-boot of WM7.5+ThisROM
(may be i'll ask some more questions again, but please don't be pissed with my stupid questions as i don't want to brick my TMOUS.....and yes i do google everything about what i ask but google have so many confusing answers)
Edit :::
i was thinking about doing a dual boot with these two WP7 and Android , so is this possible to do this with both of them with my Radio 2.12.50.02_2 and HSPL 2.08
Thank You.

Think that should be fine, although from what I've heard the best SD classes for SD Android are 2 and 4.
Q.2 now as i have flashed a HSPL 2.08 do i need to update is later for other ROM's,,,,or this same HSPL will work for every ROM ??
Stick with HSPL 2.08.
Q.3 what is a CWM ??
CWM is short for Clockworkmod recovery. It's basically how we flash most NAND Android ROMs
Q.4 please guide me for a dual-boot of WM7.5+ThisROM
A couple of issues with that:
-I haven't done a dual boot of WP7 and Android before. Search for mengfei's guide (don't forget to thank him) and ask questions there
-The ROM you want is a NAND ROM. You need an SD ROM.
-The ROM you want is an alpha i.e. it's unstable with tonnes of issues
-The ROM you want has been discontinued
(may be i'll ask some more questions again, but please don't be pissed with my stupid questions as i don't want to brick my TMOUS.....and yes i do google everything about what i ask but google have so many confusing answers)

The radio and HSPL are fine, but as stated earlier you need an SD ROM, not a NAND ROM.

Never ask this question. Nobody can really suggest the best ROM for you, so don't even bother asking. If you want opinions, just go to the Dev sections and look at the number of views the thread has and its rating (in *s). As for the One V ROM, nothing works on that, as I've already pointed out. I've helped you so far but honestly I think you can find everything you could possibly need just by searching using the forum search tool.
