Are u sure all of your previous swype stuff is deleted? Maybe even try deleteing the installer and redownload it. Then try to install swype from there again

Ok.. Fixed.. Besides removing the files I also must go to settings, applications, manage applications, and uninstall anything swype..

[Q] How to install Swype on Epic

I accidentally deleted my swype system app backup. Now I am trying to reinstall it back by taking swype.apk from system dump that I downloaded somewhere on this forum and place it to System/app then run the install.
Everything looks fine as far as installation but then when I try to use it, it always says that this swype was configured for different devices. I am able to type using swype keyboard but I am not able to swype.
Anyone has any idea how to fix this?
Thanks,
Hien Khieu.

Google maps and nav?

I was wondering why, everytime I load a new kernal or rom I loose my google maps. Also, how do I get it back? I have dl from market, deleted the apk from system apps. Reinstalled, nothing. I keep getting fc when I try to open it. I am running jts voodoo5 with dj05 now but it happened before I installed these. Any thoughts?

Did you try clearing data in manage applications?
Fix permissions in rom manager?
Which rom are you using? I had the same problem until I flashed JT's latest Super Clean.

My maps app was ok but nav would fc so I did a full wipe and flashed SuperClean .7. Restored non-system apps with Titanium, installed maps from the market and nav was good to go.

I just reflashed super.clean and it works now, I dont know what was different but im glad it is fixed. Thanks for the help

Lagfix? Axura

Axura is amazingly fast and stuff but I want it fast as before on when I had lag fix on my stock j16
Can I apply oclf and be good with no bugs or soft bricks or is there something else for the Axura lagfix
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
Do not apply oclf. It does not play nice with axura use the voodoo kernel in the op of axura thread.

Put the voodoo.zip on your phones sd card, go into Clockwork mod recovery mode, choose install zip from sd card, and choose the voodoo.zip file, and the process will take awhile, so be patient

Voodoo works great on Axura. My phone has zero lag no matter what I throw at it.
Ill try it then thanks
i just did it, didnt take long at all. Does that mean something went wrong? Is there a way to see if its installed?

Go to the Team Whiskey site. There's a thread on the Voodoo install and uninstall. It very different then OCLF yet still easy just not as..
I don't even run a lag fix anymore, Axura 2.x is quite snappy without it. And I find Voodoo while it works well, it tangles up in my system more then I prefer because I'm always flashing something.
But that said, Axura and Voodoo and your flying.
Good luck.

Couple of questions

My boot animation doesn't play bootup or shutdown, even if i download from rom manger it used to work... also can i get the color fix without voodoo kearnel?
Are you using the DJ05 kernel from adryn's post? That kernel does not have boot animations.
Sent from my SCH-I500 using XDA App
1- what rom are you on?
2- no, plus even with voodoo, it only works at 100% brightness.

I've Never used a stupidfast kernel, but if it worked before, logically it still should. Are you familiar with terminal commands? (i.e. Could you navigate to /system/media and /data/local to see if "bootanimation.zip" is present)
Or if you have root explorer you can just navigate to there and see if the bootanimation.zip is there.
Its possible its not flashing properly, but adding it manually should work

My wife's phone did that. She has sonofskywalker's latest as of this jan 1st. And stupidfast 1.54 with dj05 radio. I couldnt figure it out either. I tried to manually insert it, and flash it also deleted the old one. I dont know?
Sent from my SCH-I500 using XDA App
v 1.54 of Stupidfast had/has broken boot animations. Later versions fixed the problem, but I don't know when it was fixed as I had moved on to voodoo by the time they were working again.

I'm stumped. Sorry bro.
What I've noticed is that the dj05 stupidfast kernel comes bootanomationless. (If that's even a word) ;-) I just switched back to a jt kernel and it came back. I would suggest that if u like the way stupidfast runs, screw the bootanimation. If it's that important, switch to a different kernel. Hope this helps.

[Q] Do I need to disable voodoo when flashing Nero?

I am running TW's Bionix-v 1.3.1 and I would like to try out TW's Nero v5. I currently have voodoo enabled and so do I have to disable it when I flash Nero v5 over Bionix-v?
i don't think you do...
but you can do it to be safe..
im pretty sure it re-enables it anyways soon as you flash it.
That would be going backwards. Bionix v is the successor of nero.
