I agree. It is pretty fun. Also got "pewpew" the sound thing....with a big red button that just makes the sound pewpew. We now shoot each other at work in the hallways....

Galaxy Wars anyone? I love that game lol.

A cool game which unfortunately caused me to need a battery pull for the first in a very long time when I launched it after download. Thanks.

This is my new favorite game. It has surprisingly good response and is easy to get used. I haven't been able to get a silver medal yet which is good because I like games to be difficult.

It is a difficult game. I have won 1 bronze medal, and came close on a couple of times winning a silver. I am wondering what the other ships look like. My thumbs hurt.

How's the update working for you guys?
I only have problems with "ondemand" scaling on mixup kernel and that kernel has some bugs with TWL and ondemand

This game is not working at all for me. I have it installed fine, but once I hit "OK" to actually start the game, it crashes and sends me straight back to my home screen. No force close message or anything. Just closes. Lame... Thoughts?

I've been playing this game an awful lot over the last few weeks. Last week I sat in line at the emissions testing center for an hour and a half and scored over 250,000 on megagore, which completely shattered my previous high score.

I'm on a Droid Eris with GSB v2.1 (Gingerbread) with Conap's CFS kernel I believe. I'm not sure what di18 means...
edit: It is a CyanogenMOD 7 rom if that helps at all. I guess maybe I might have to go back to an older rom...

[Q] Dungeon Defenders on 2.3

Hello guys,
I recently purchased a game called Dungeon Defenders which is based on unreal3 engine. Sadly, it is kinda choppy on Evo.
I am running CM 6.1.2 with cm6-snap-v7.5-havs925 kernel.
Does anybody tried the DD on 2.3 ROM?
i am just wondering if the update will make the game less laggy.
I just played it for a bit on 2.3, and it seemed smoother. Now this could totally be my imagination, but before, when there were a number of baddies on the screen, I would get bad lag, but I didn't notice it on 2.3. There might still be some slight lag, but it seemed much better. If I get a chance to play for a more extended time, I'll report back.

It shouldn't. Doesn't effect the GPU. So far there's nothing that can upclock the GPU. Probably the closest thing to improcing the GPU is implementing the new 2.3.3 Nexus One GPU drivers but I don't think that Google/HTC has released the source yet.

Its part of snap kernel. I wouldn't bother though - its just some modifications that mostly trick quadrant into benching higher. Actual real use performance will be the same.

Nexus S 3D Interface

I don't think I have noticed this posted anywhere yet...
take a look at this UI (homescreen replacement?) soon to be released on Android:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ys7gua-noOE
it's buttery smooth!
i think shells suck..spb on my nexus?no i had it on p3300 a few years ago..
I'd definitely use this.
yeah ..i'd like to use that too ...
what really caught my attention was that the transitions and animations were silky smooth -- to the point that I doubted whether the video was 'real', or if it was just computer generated imagery!
Certainly impressive, but it's a bit overdone in my opinion. When every single element is glassy with gradients and reflections etc it really makes it look cluttered.
Personally I'd like to see more black in these interfaces, running a SAMOLED screen the black just merges into the bezel beautifully, giving the impression that there are no edges.
But as said above, I'm impressed at how smoothly it runs, considering I sometimes get stuttery animations on the standard interface.
That is really nice looking. Was that a stock android ROM or a new interface?

Yeah I signed up to beta test this a while ago, but wasn't picked. It looks really cool and all, and I would definitely try it out, but it might be a little much for standard everyday use. Maybe not..guess we'll see. It would definitely be useful to show off my nexus s to people lol

Been using this for a couple of days and really loving it. I initially thought it was a bit overdone too but it actually works. I can totally use this as a daily driver.
Lucky enough to be chosen for the beta. Not sure if I'm allowed to share the APK. If someone can clarify that for me then I'll gladly post it.
I've been using it for awhile now, too. It has been my daily launcher since I got it. Very smooth.

To be honest with you I only tried CM7 for about an hour. I just didnt like the look and layout, plus it seems like it comes with so much more things installed (bloat to me). During that hour it did not feel any faster nor smoother than Oxygen. Been using Oxygen since 2.2.1 till now and I have NEVER got a reboot or freeze. Check it out man, you wont be dissapointed.

I don't see much of a performance improvement (I don't think there should be one, either), though if you do wipes anyway you're going to avoid a lot of slowdowns.
Shame about the new boot animation, though. I kinda dug the colorfulness of the last one. This is a little too bluish, wooshy, scifi looking, like a wonky portal effect from 10 years ago. Reminds me of the unfortunate tastes that gave the mod community a few too many Matrix themes.

You can change the boot animation back to the old one if you want to. The new alpha-5 boot animation caused me to have a seizure so I found the bootanimation.zip file and replaced the new one with the old one lol
Just get the bootanimation.zip file from one of the previous versions of CM9 (/system/media) and replace.

Lag on the galaxy note 10.1 2014

Hi just went to bestbuy to test the overall performance on this tablet. Sad to say that when i tested the exynos variant, I did encounter lag when I was scrolling the home screen. What I mean is that it doesn't feel smooth. Also pulling out flipboard caused lag. Trying to run a couple of applications like s note. It's not major lag that will take away the whole experience. Just lag that you'll notice from time to time even if it's minor. What's your opinion on this and how do you feel about the exynos? Is it still going to be worth it sacrificing a bit of performance for cheaper price and getting it earlier. Should I wait for the snapdragon variant since it might be faster. But it's also going to be more expensive and I won't be needing LTE. I had really high hopes of this tablet too.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I317 using Tapatalk 4
I wonder if it lags even with a third party launcher like Nova Prime or Next?
I hear touch wiz bloat is very heavy indeed.

Too many variables. How much other stuff was running in the background? Did you do all this testing after a fresh reboot? Who knows what the people before you were doing to it. And every Samsung experience running full blast does take it's toll, all those widgets updating all programs running etc. I'm just saying it's not all doom and gloom... Just tweak it.

Even in the my magazine app? I hate the stock tw launcher, I wonder how much resources it takes up
I think early technical analysis showed that the exnyos governor was not exactly optimized. I'm sure this thing will fly with the proper rom. I rommed my note 2 and last year's 10.1 when I felt lag was hindering the experience and both were super fluid after modification. Samsung uses good parts. Tw just tends to be bloated.

The Tech at best buy were going crazy over this thing saying it is the best tablet they have seen thus far.

Totally agree on that. All android tablet has come so close. When I saw the 1st gen of the note 10.1 I thought it was the one for me. But with the screen resolution, it was a big let down for me. This year this is the one. Only thing that's stopping me now is the performance.

I may not be as tech savvy as many of you, but I just got this tablet and the performance is amazing. I have 12 active apps running and I don't notice any lag navigating the menus. I've been working in dropsync and synced a whole bunch of files while messing around with it and still noticed no lag whatsoever. I did notice that it gets a bit warm on the back though.
