It looks like version 3 for EVO Android will be released. If I root my version 2.2, what happens - will there be a problem with the phone, what has to be done, will the phone still be rooted?
Just don't accept the OTA update and wait for the geniuses do their business here.
hi guys
who could help me ?
I want the UK version 2.3 official
is it released by moto?
any download link?
thanks
There is no any official Gingerbread release for Motorola devices at this moment, even in USA. There is only leaked 2.3.3 Gingy with MotoBlur for Droid 2/X.
ok so i was on 2.1 or 2.2 or something and I had pageplus working great but wanted gingerbred and then I rooted the droid x 2.3.3 using this method http://www.droid-life.com/2011/03/29/how-to-root-gingerbread-on-droid-x/ and ahh no no pageplus. How do I fix this?
**Updated**
First off, That was the same move I made... and I regretted it BIG TIME. This is because that is the very very first leaked version of gingerbread which no one supports anymore.
So this is basically what you'll have to do:
1) SBF back to Froyo
2) Upgrade to the offical .956 (rooted) Version of Gingerbread.
Now I know you are like: Who the F**K do I do that? (Probably)
Here is how you Do it

hi,
I'm pretty sure that developers from motorola has especially released the OTA update for the 2.3.4 HK sbf from the moment the beta version was leaked.
the question is why?
This OTA update includes an update for the first init bootloader that hard brick the phone once update is done.
That sound like an answer from motorola team about unlocking bootloaders, not only but also to the leaked beta 2.3. Right?

I talk again about the future unlockable bootloader that any noob here believe.
as I know there is no way to flash back stock an hard-bricked atrix since you need rsd or flashboot protocol enabled but if you know how to do that (nvflash), that will be awesome, sure I'll be interested so let me know
That is the game! Play safe with your phone...
