Whenever i try to install a theme using xrecovery it never works, all i get with most is the SE logo and with a few the hackdroid logo after it, but then nothing, just freezes. Any ideas on how to make them work? Also for suggestions on any great themes would be awesome too!
You have to install themes that are based to hackdroid's framework.apk .... You used official's framework.apk themes.

Ok... I managed myself to make everything to work except the clock that still is black... can anyone be kind enought to tell me where to edit that? Which xml file?

Welcome the the Steel Blue CM7.
This is the first version of Cm7 SteelBlue Theme for Samsung GalaxyS.
It is based on Cm7 ROM that is still in Alpha stage of development, so the theme is also still Alpha.
Many of you will say that it is to early to make themes for CM7,
but the ROM is allready stable enough for that by our opinion.
Theme will follow development of the CM7 ROM.

Apply it through theme manager,
it will probably ba a second theme

Is this able to be used on the HTC Desire? Don't worry I do know what I am doing installing and stuff, just wondered if it was compatible. I don't want to find myself in a boot loop.
I found this randomly through the XDA forum, and it is listed in the HTC Desire, Desire Themes and Apps, so I am confused.

I've installed the newest Mini CM6 1.0.0.0 and I can say that that is the best rom I've ever used. The only problem is the theme, and the lot of apps that drains so much memory and battery. So my question is: Can somebody make a clean Mini CM based rom with xperia theme? I tried to install themes today but they didn't work.
Clean... as it is the original miniCM it can not, not be cleaned....
Find autostart app and disable some background run apps...
And you should worry about not being able to install themes...
I installed a theme (Arc) with xrecovery, but it restored to some kind of sense and gingerbread theme. I've done all the steps as shown in the Mini Cm thread.
Themes don't change ui (graphical interface)
They just change icons, buttons, bars and backgrounds.
Open the update zip find framework apk open it and chage the images in the way you like.
How can I change the whole UI? The framework?
...everythink is apps... custom roms have some times changed ui... or just find a launcher app with the ui you like
Well, i've never had themes on my phone, except for when I had cyanogenmod on my hd2 - but then it was easy to install them with theme chooser... So, is it possible to install themes on our plays? (I don't even know if there are such themes available ) Pulling and then installing theme chooser and manager apks from cyanogen won't work, right?
