I was wondering what kind of ROM is everyone using. I was trying to install some apps and themes but they didn't seem to work with the stock ROM that came with my HTC diamond. Do you guys have any recommendations on which kind of ROM is best? I'd really appreciate it. Thanks
what apps did you try to install? are there any error-messages?
maybe these apps just need the .net 3.5 compact framework, and you only got 2.0 ? then just installing .net 3.5 might help
peronaly i use Gen.Y D2 R3 rom with 6.1 wm.
i just installed it 2 weeks ago to replace my original rom and i have to say its very stable and as lite as possible.

I've installed the newest Mini CM6 1.0.0.0 and I can say that that is the best rom I've ever used. The only problem is the theme, and the lot of apps that drains so much memory and battery. So my question is: Can somebody make a clean Mini CM based rom with xperia theme? I tried to install themes today but they didn't work.
Clean... as it is the original miniCM it can not, not be cleaned....
Find autostart app and disable some background run apps...
And you should worry about not being able to install themes...
I installed a theme (Arc) with xrecovery, but it restored to some kind of sense and gingerbread theme. I've done all the steps as shown in the Mini Cm thread.
Themes don't change ui (graphical interface)
They just change icons, buttons, bars and backgrounds.
Open the update zip find framework apk open it and chage the images in the way you like.
How can I change the whole UI? The framework?
...everythink is apps... custom roms have some times changed ui... or just find a launcher app with the ui you like

Camera works fine. It's in 3.2 MP. I say, better install Floyo 0.20, it's better.

I was just wondering about themes for the HTC Legend. I have a stock Froyo ROM currently installed in my Legend. What is the difference between a Rom and a theme? Is a theme practically a Rom that we have to flash through recovery? If I install a theme in my Legend, does it replace my Rom I currently have installed? I was planning to get a Rom/Theme for my legend that has a nice style to it. (Transparent notification bar for example.).
PS: Can someone give me a good working nice style Rom? I wanna take a break from the current Rom I have to see what's out there. Thanks for the help. Sorry if this was a stupid question.
A theme is just that, a theme (try changing windows theme, you're still on windows!).
Cyanogen (the rom) has the theme chooser installed, which allows you to change the theme easily (no flashing, just install apk like normal apps). Make sure you pick an MDPI theme.

Thanks! Oh and I am rooted and just have a Froyo Rom installed is what I meant. Sorry for the confusion, the Rom I'm using is just an average HTC Sense Rom Froyo.

Please...can someone provide stock CM7.2 rom without any modification in systemui and framework-res?
I ask this coz I would like to use Zdunes ICS layout, but every rom with CM7.2 i've tried doesn't work caused by modification in mentioned apk's.
I bought his ICS theme and it would be really nice to use it with his layout.
Can some of rom chefs help me out to get this working?
