please help.
i'm stuck at the HTC screen, and I don't know what to do. I've wipe my data, numerous times. I'm using a TMOUS HTC HD2, as it was said that partitioning is optional for TMOUS, and I'm not familiar with the curves of partitioning, so I haven't used it. I'm not familiar with adbshell, so I haven't changed any scripts.
If anyone would help me out, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Did you flash TMOUS initrd fix from downloads section. as stated in the first page?
Do you have MAGLDR 1.13?
Did you flash a partition setup?
You still have to flash a partition for T-Mobile US you can do so without using the SD partition.
i do have magldr 1.13
i flashed TMOUS initrd in CWM
i have not flashed a partition, and if you would provide a link for me to lead me in that direction, i would greatly appreciate it, because i have no idea where to start

If you have MAGLDR 1.13 then
Proceed to flash your partition... should be in the build if not I will get you one. Then you can flash your build.

i got it from here, i'm not sure if i have it or not. but i don't understand the reasoning for partitioning, for i thought partitioning is for EU, i was able install Cyanogenmod 7 and Hyperdroid without partitioning.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=898913
Your build should have a link for a partition layout.
Remove you SD card for this... so that partition is on NAND and not memory card. The reason you are stuck on the HTC screen is because you need to setup this partition.
Here is an alternate partition for future.
CMYLXGOs.ClockworkMod.Recovery.Partition.Setup.02. 04.2011.rar
Some builds have the layout in with the build some dont... If you can flash MAGLDR you can flash a partition and unless you task 29 you shouldnt have to do it again for any build with a Leo 1024.
i'm on it.
i'll let you know how it turns out, i appreciate the help.
No worries if you cant get it to load PM me I will give you steps to clear it and start over which only takes a couple minutes to do! Let me know how it works out.
i can't summon the words to describe how much your help is appreciated. i managed to get it to work. thanks much, dude.
No worries, glad to help.

Help Needed Folks-
My unit is the US T-Mobile HD2.
I had android running fine for a few weeks untill it no longer booted past the 'go,go,go' stage.
Its running SPL-2.08 and was using the Desire HD android build and Magldr 1.10.
After reading on various threads re 'go,go,go fault', i now have flashed Magldr 1.13 and then reflashed the android desire hd build all ok.
Problem is it still wont boot past the 'go,go.go' stage. Ive searched numerous threads and cant get my head around this and am now thinking its perhaps a hardware fault as opposed to software, unless ive overlooked something.
Please, i know im new but ANY help or ideas would be appreciated in trying to revive my 2 week old phone.
Thanx & appreciation in advance
Ps- i posted this in The Lounge which might be unsuitable. Moderator please delete it if reqiured.
flashed the rom again?
If all is in NAND (no data.img on SD) then remove the SD and ty again.
Same issue???
The sd card was not in the ph when i flashed. Would this have been a problem?
ie - should the sd card remain in the ph to flash etc?
Thanks for your time.

What ROM are you using and how are you applying it (through DAF or CWM)?

Ok, firstly i tried to re-flash it (without sd card) and again the same problem occurs.
The rom used is based on the Desire HD build. Run DAF file as administrator.
In the Magldr 1.13 menu i tried option 8 - AD Recovery and it lists the following:
'No Boot Sources'.
Its got me stumped........Any ideas ?
Do i have to flash a radio for the T-Mobile version, as i never did originally and all was working fine ?
Sorry to be a pain fellas, and again, ur time is much appreciated.

You can't do both. If you flash with Daf, then cwm is useless
No need of SD to flash (with DFT of course!)
If you flash a build with DFT you remove CWM (so it's DFT build OR CWM but not both).
You're build is a big one (HD with Sense I think). Are you sure it doesn't have data on the SD? Or need an ext partition?
Read the first page of the thread of your build to be sure.
Usually it's better to put the SD to start Android on first start as it create some hidden folders (files also maybe).
You better delete/recreate the SD partition (fast format sometime doesn't remove SD corruption).
If this doesn't work. try to redo all (SD partition delete, WM stock flash, MAGLDR flash, Build flash).
It cost nothing to do few task29 (even if I don't knwo which part of the NAND it cleans).

You need to flash the new CWM after flashing MAGLDR 1.13, as CWM is now provided as a raw image that you flash through DAF. Once that is done the AD Recovery option in MAGLDR will work and you will be able to boot into CWM to flash ZIP ROM's.
What I understand is that he's trying to flash a DFT build. So it's useless to flash CWM, it will be removed when he'll flash his build with DFT.
Of course he can also flash CWM and use another build (or maybe the build is provided in the two versions...).
Sorry but I don't know the build you want to use.
Just come to my mind. Maybe the build you download is corrupted.
Apply my previous advices and try with another build (one you have on your laptop and you have used before successfully or a new one you download).
Hello everyone. I have a few questions from a noob. Ok, here's the situation, I have an HD2 that I used to update regularly when i had winmo 6.5. ran android sd for a while, then switched to an MDJ nand months ago. havent messed with it much since. i want to update the rom to a more current one, but obviously alot has changed. anyway, on to the questions...
1. how do i get to the magldr main menu/boot screen/thing? the screen where you select to boot android sd, android nand, play tetris, etc. i just updated to 1.13.
2. i never made any EXT partitions on my sd card...do i HAVE to do this and if so, what is the easiest way?
thanks for you help! please be gentle, i know that the answers are probably in a thread somewhere, but i searched for the magldr and had no luck

You get to the magldr boot thing by holding down the power button while you turn the phone on until you get the screen, dunno about the easiest way to partition as I never have done, why do you want to partition anyways, do you plan on dual booting?
ah, ok. finally got to the boot screen. tried the hold power button down trick before but it didnt work. did this time.
i dont plan on dual booting, just read some things that said that I need to have special ext partitions set up to get app2sd+ to work
Cwm can partition your card, but be sure and back up cos it will be wiped. If you have a tmous you don't need ext, but for a reg Leo it is almost a must.
after tonnes and days of reading and digging out infos from this forum, i tried as much as i could to follow instructions here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=893948
but then, something went wrong and now my HD2 is not booting up. it is now stucked at the HTC splash screen. i can reboot to get the MAGLDR however.
what i did was, i flashed MAGLDR, as in the first step in the link above.
then i flashed this android ROM:
MAGLDR_Android_2.3.5_Runny.rar
from
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1298188
and then the problem started. i'm now searching for a way to recover my phone to the original condition, which was windows mobile. or even better, someone help me solve this and my phone can continue in android. i really need the android because the WolfRam alpha app is not available for windows mobile.
help me please, i'm nearing exams and i need help in my calculus so i decided to take the risk but unfortunately i'm now phoneless and going out of my mind.
thanks in advance
correct spl?
correct radio?
correct partition size?
Radio 2.15.50.14
HARDSPL 2.08
i didn't check the partition, how do i check that?
when you flashed CWM you chose a partition size based on the stated size for the rom you want to flash. it will be in the first post of that roms thread. Use teh nand toolkit, is teh easy way.
EDIT - oh wait, forget that, that rom provides its own cwm, , you have a 265meg system partition, so probably not that, (unless you missed out steps
Download archive with the MAGLDR loader and Recovery from here than unpack its content.
and
Run DAF.exe from MAGLDR_Recovery folder)
still stucked at the black screen with the green HTC words. i tried several times already and it won't start up.
is it possible to wipe the whole thing installed in the phone, and install android to it?
If you flashed magldr then it's all already gone.
I'd try a different rom. Maybe its simply that that rom doesn't like your phone for whatever reason.
Pick a rom
Enter magldr - USB flasher
Flash required partition size using the nand toolkit
Enter magldr option 8 ad recivery
Choose flash zip from SD - choose zip
Probably a stupid suggestion - but have you checked the battery pins? Make sure they're not bent in anyway and that the'yre making contact with the battery.
@samsamuel;
you were right, the ROM hated me :'(
i changed to using the coredroid ROM and everything worked thank you very much!!
@MrFoxx;
i checked the battery pins, and they were indeed bent! but it didn't give me any problem
Hi guys,
I bought a HTC HD2 from Ebay and it had Android NexusHD-2-Gingerbread V3.0 NAND already on it. But I want to put NexusHD2-ICS-4.0.3-CM9 V1.2 on it now and I couldnt find a complete tutorial on how to do it most tutorials just explain certain parts e.g. installing clockworkmod, MAGLDR etc.
So do I have to factory reset the phone and then put ICS on it or can i just upgrade it?
Thanks in advance.
Maybe read at first this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=893948
I start allways with task29, install magldr (or clk), recovery with 5/200/5 (for Rom you want to install).
Make backup your SD-card and to partition the right way (with 1gb ext3 or ext4)
Afterwards copy the ROM zip to your sd card and install.
This is only a short way to go ahead with Android Rom flashing.
More detailed tutorials you will find .
If you stuck on some point, let us know..
Have Fun
CLK worked better for me i recommend it
clk makes ur phone more native like but there are plenty of guides available and there is also an hd2 bible in the development section.

It's depend from needs. See the difference http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1114053
Become very familiar with the HD2 Toolkit, it will be your good friend.

Good evening everyone
Before I create this thread, I tried lots of tutorials & youtube vids hoping I could find a way to solve my issue (incase I'm wrongly flashing android)
anyways, everything is completed without issues, except for when running android on the HTC HD2... once the system starts loading the device reboots :S
I Fixed Permissions, deleted cache ...etc I even started from point 0 where I wipe everything and then I start partitioning, then installing bootloader ...etc
I'm using this release of Android: NexusHD2-ICS-CM9_V1.3 (even tried this one: IceCreamTosti_v0.11_AOKP28_29, same thing happened)
and afterwords I flash this Kernel: NexusHD2-Kernel_2.6.32.15_tytung_ics_r1-MAGLDR-update
and IF and only IF I succeed to reach ICS Boot animation, I don't get pass the boot animation ...
Any idea what I could be missing in order to be facing this issue?!
Another question, for my Xperia Arc S I must unlock bootloader to be able to flash custom ROMs, is there such thing for the HTC HD 2?!
I also can't turn on the device unless it's connected to the PC, other than that it will never turn on, any solution for this thing?!
There is a question forum JUST FOR THIS! Reporting thread.
On a ontopic point, if it boots once the second time you go to boot delete dalvik cache then boot the second time. Also dont flash kernels. Just flash the ROM and boot. Reboot, delete dalvik then boot. It will be fine. Unless you need a new phone.
Next time, POST IN THE CORRECT SECTION! Dont you notice how your topic has NOTHING to do with development? Useless topic....
Thanks for your answer.
As for posting the thread, I had lots of tabs open on my browser so I didn't notice I was on the development forum, my mistake
I tried your method, and yet I can't reach the boot animation

Let's start from beggining...
1st check HSPL you installed... which version is it?
MAGLDR and cLK 1.5 rc1 works fine with all versions.
cLK 1.4.0.1 needs HSPL 2.08
2nd which bootloader are you using? Make sure it is the latest (MAGLDR 1.3 or cLK 1.5 rc1)
3rd Important check your partitions.
make sure /boot is at least 5MB
/system, deppends on the ROM, if you are not sure unzip ROM and check system folder size.
If this doesn't work, I suggest to check for bad sectors in your NAND, I don't remember how to do it in MAGLDR but if you search forum a bit you will find it.
for cLK you will see in CMD when you try to erase partitions using the command "fastboot erase system" (that is if i remember correct, search about it).
If you have bad sectors try make bigger partitions, if i recall correct MAGLDR is able to detect bad sectors and skip them.
