Cm7 - Droid Incredible General

Is there a way of keeping sense on cm7?
Sent from my ADR6300 using XDA App

In a word, no.
I'm sure someone will eventually make a hybrid rom, like SkyRaider Athena for CM6, but that is not yet possible for CM7. Unless there has been a recent release that I missed, there's still no Evo/Inc Sense version of Gingerbread out there.
EDIT - according to this thread, "Gingersense" roms are rolling out... so maybe you won't have to wait too long for the Inc

There is a sense version of gb being ported to the myt4g, its out there, just not for us uet
yes, i am one who likes to flash then flush

I'm using skyraider 3.5 and I love it....but I really want the "slide to dismiss" feature that CM has. But I hate the Droid layout. Maybe there's an add on for skyraider? Idk...

Super 2.1eclair that needs to be developed

Im looking for a 2.1 sense base rom that has july update with lwps worked into sense. I want lwps to work on sense not home. Black droidx keyboard. Option to change notificatiom bar to white, like froyo. Customization. Wired tether built into rom( setting&wireless under settings). The option to switch between rosie expresso and stock sense. All htc widgets working. OC to 710. The option to use nexus lock screen or stock. Working wifi hotspot. I think this would be sense rom on steroids or super 2.1 rom. Maybe one of the devs could take this on.

Sounds like you need to learn how to create your own ROM.
I don't think you could pay someone $500 to do this for you and getting to make it for free seems even less likely.
I would love to learn. To busy in life. The closes I came to that rom is freshrom. U should try that rom. If it was created it would be a awesome rom.

so why not just use Fresh ROM... and use Metamorph? sounds like it will do almost all of what you want.
PS - we're all busy in life
Cant find metamorph themes for sense. I work in the transportation industry. Constantly gone.

I'll do it, I'm not busy lol 2.1 is old school, we'll be moving on to gingerbread soon

How do you go about in adding lwps directly to sense. I do not want to use home. Thxs.

I did not mean to be demanding. It was just a thought(brain storming). Tazz just posted a revized rom on what I might be looking for. Just had to get that out of my head. Will try his rom until sense froyo out of beta.

Gingerbread Questions

Sorry if I sound idiotic, but could someone explain what's different between Gingerbread and Froyo? Just trying to figure out what the benefits are of using Gingerbread compared to another build. Also, does Gingerbread have Sense? Thanks!
Sent from my HTC HD2 using XDA App.
Neither FroYo or Gingerbread come with Sense - they have nothing to do with it. If you use a build from a device that has Sense, such as Desire HD, then you will get Sense. If you use something like a Nexus One build then you won't.
As for the differences between FroYo and Gingerbread, look here.
Thanks, man!

Looking for someone to take the plunge with me.

Hey guys, I'm looking for someone that would want to start working on a ROM with me. Nothing special, just a good, stable, smooth and fast Sense ROM with some added features. I've built a few personal ROMs from AOSP but I'm new to this Sense thing. If you're interested send me a pm!

If there's a thunderbolt leak I'd say start off that while using the latest gingerbread leak to fix anything we need. I'd like to see a good solid 2.0/2.1 Sense rom that's not from a GSM device or from a Sprint device.
Maybe remove all bloat or move it to where it can be uninstalled by the user. Its hard to find a good clean rom that just works. Once we have a solid base then mods to the rom can be made (as a seperate install)
This is assuming the thunderbolt has a gingerbread release with sense 2.0/2.1...

Stable ROM

What's the most stable ROM I can use for my Incredible, I am running nils buisness 2.2 but it isn't working out for me, can you provide a link for a stable ROM, preferrably sense 3.0 thanks
Sent from my ADR6300 using XDA App
There is another thread about 12 posts down with the same exact name. Most likely if 2.1 isnt workimg for you, neithrr will 3.0
Sent from my ADR6300 using XDA App
The one that has worked best for me is the Community Rom. I wish it came with the old lock screen as an option though. Thats my only prob with it.. other than that, it's been the most stable of all that i've tried!
The most stable ROM is FROYO stock. But that's probably not what you were looking for.
-xdadevelopers-user
Nils 3.0 v2.2 (or 2.1 or whatever version I'm on) is working extremely well for me, I think the bigger question is what about it isn't working for you?
The most stable rom you can use is decks aosp which is built to 2.3.5
No froyo space issues...or lag from the newer sense ports.

You haven't tried the new desire HD 3.0 roms. There is absolutely zero lag and it honestly runs almost as good as the OTA.
If I've helped you, hit the thanks button!
I actually have tried newts new one. I had phantom call issues.
I am not sure how you would know what Roms I have tried.
Thanks for the suggestion though.

Yes I agree I found a great Rom which is ace revolution 3d, I havnt tried the other devs version of their desire port, but if you have flashed all the diff devs ports, id like to know which is your favorite, I'm just not dissappointed at all with ace rev 3d ROM

Stable rom
[ROM][MikRoms] Desired Inc HD 3D Vthree [Updated:16Sep2011]
This is the most stable ROM I've found so far.
I'm a big fan of Jermaine's I'm a big fan of Jermaine's In-Sensitive Minimalist ROM. It has by far been the most stable ROM I have used. If you're looking for Sense 3.0 he has a Dee-Zire ROM that is AOSP/Sense 3.0.
I haven't personally tried it, but if it's anything like his other work I'm sure it's top notch.

Well a suggestion for sense 3.0 is kingdom stock ginger sense 3.0 it was last updated in June but I've ran it and it's a nice rom though if everything force closes do a factory reset
Desire HD vfive
Try that one is most stable by wildstang
the video recording is choppy for now though but is stable and is sense 3.0
I'm running McSense and everything is stable and fast, but it seems to be taking longer to charge the phone.
No complaints other than that!
For the most stability I'd recommend something close to the stock GB that was recently released, with some enhancements. Two ROMs that stick out in my mind are jermaine's stock+ and mcd's mcsense. Both devs have senseless versions as well which are just as stable.

+1 Jermaine has the most stable ROMs as they are the closest to stock. I personally drive IM 2.3.1 and love it. He stopped his Sense 3.0 ROM in beta for not living up to his standards. You can trust his development to be 100% stable.
I'm running the 666th Sense ROM and loving it. It's the stock framework with some awesomely twisted tweaks, and with tiny's kernel the battery is running better than ever. I've lurked here for forever and have learned a lot - figured I'd throw in my $.02 for whatever it's worth.
Good luck in finding something you love.

Ideas for roms??????

Anyone got any ideas for roms? Not ics.
Anything specific? I'm going to make one, but I need ideas

Sense 3.5
Bliss base
Runny nav bar
No bloat
Runs perfect without swap
Or maybe u wanna port Android evolution or Runnymede desire rom by sebastian15? The latter is a great rom
Yeah, the DZ community has a love/hate relationship with 3.5 sense rom, so a one running smoothly without swap, no bloat, nicely themed (easy on the eyes ), is a way to go.
There are alot of sense 3.5 roms for the DZ. I've tried them all (literally), so far the Bliss sense and the NRG 3.5 sense roms are good, other I had trouble with (laggy, slow, crashes...).
MIUI, seen one seen them all, although popular you will be just one in a bucket of full pretty good and functional MIUI roms.
Stock g2 or AOSP also, there are alot of them for the DZ, there has to be yet an AOSP that can beat the awesome CM 7 rom.
If you make it really try hard to stand out, cause it will be burred soon under the mentioned ones.
You could try porting a weird obscure ROM that nobody has really seen much of. I remember using a ROM by SiulMagic called LiquidM_Villain, its basically an Acer modified version of Froyo. I used it for a few weeks before leaving because I missed Gingerbread, but it was quite a neat ROM. Theres a Gingerbread version around now that could be ported? Or maybe theres another modified version of Android that nobody really sees much of?

As for the g2 there isn't anything I can think of...we pretty much have everything except full ICS.
Taz I'm serious about the acer tho...pm me!

What specs does the acer have?
Also, will hopefully try my hand at that desire rom. Doesn't look too easy because of desire-specific things, but will try

Lots of similarities with the DZ taz, same cpu, ill have to check again. But they've been trying to port cm7 from the DZ to the liquid MT, they almost have it but I think you could blow it out of the water.

Honeycomb?
I noticed the HC SDK 3.0 uses the GB launcher so...
Some other folks built and compiled HC for their phones too, off the SDK I believe.

Honeycomb is a bad idea when we have ICS being ported at the moment (which if you check the dev page, there's a thread with an almost complete port) since honeycomb was designed purely for tablets and is not meant for phones. A LOT of quite possibly pointless work would have to go in it.
take any existing ROM - figure out how to make it have even better reception in weak signal areas - and you will be a STAR on XDA!!
and start with the ROM that is the fastest, leanest, and has the best battery life and most free RAM of any ROM.........yes I am talking about G-Lite 2.0.1
My idea is the latest stock rom with nice tweaks and addons but that's just an idea... And maybe nobody likes it
Sent from my HTC Desire Z
The ICS rom on Desire Z is out ? or it's still the alpha version ?
