Hi all.. Since i've had my phone (for two months now), the google maps app is giving me the wrong location(200km away). I've tried all the gps fixes but it always show the same wrong location.
Can anybody help me with this problem?

see fr if u r usin wireless network to determine ur location..!! how's d accuracy length?? r u included in that circle??

Yes i use wifi. I'm not in the circle, i'm 200km away. Should i try without wifi?
Funny, i get a gps fix, just not accurate location

Wifi wil nt wrk until u r in a wifi hotspot by sum carrier..
Newy run gpssetup2 nd see if it is showin ur coordinates... Basically if ur gps nt wrkin.. Then gpssetup2 wil keep connectin to sattelites but wil not lock with them..
Let me ask u some q...
1. Which rom u r usin?
2. whch country u r frm?
3. hav u ever installed octy apps (lyk gps booster) after ur last flashin or resetin?

I managed to get a fix on my location with google maps but after a gooood 12min of waithing, without wifi.. When i dont use wifi it should give me the right location always?
When i run gpssetup2 i get fix but after a long wait, and only 2-3 satelites.
1.im using jpf
2.im from macedonia
3. I used octy app when i was on eclair, now im on froyo.
Ill be testing some more, if i got one good fix i shoud get it right.. If you have some workin way or app to fix the gps to quickly fix please write.

thnx 4 d replies...i hv tried to develop d app which filters incoming calls and sms's...The first one is for incoming call and second for sms..
think I found a bug on the newest fw (version on my sign)
try to use wif then open the market you might get data connection icon like if it was downloading something even though you disabled data connection
any one can help me to confirm this??

maybe my fw is screwed after getting more answers imma check if reinstalling the fw or leave it that way

Used to happen to me on stock 2.1 but no data used to be transfered.
Atleast not in my case, it didn't

Well..i dont see my home wifi network..and other ones are disappering some times..doesnt show for little time..and after some mins i get those networks..but i dont get still mine..What to do..can you please help me?

for the market to be there, you need to flash the google apps package, flash it in recovery the same way you flashed the rom
Hello, yes i did that from recovery installed google apps..But still doesnt appear into menu...In manage applications i saw there is application Market..but dont have idea how to run..
have you logged onto your google account on the phone? i had a few problems before i logged in, i put cm 7.0.3 on my wildfire yesterday, just got gps working by flashing a different radio

Yes...and after that i will get fixed WIFI thing?
I don't know. I'm new to wifi related things. And that logging in into google account might solve market app only.
But after rooting the phone there might be wifi related apps or atleast may be fixes for that. I heard manual adding of network might work. But dont know really.

Fixed by changing some settings in advanced tab in wireless settings (set 14 channels)

Just wanted to let u all know that google maps have launched offline navigation coupled with turn by turn GPS. Update ur map app and go to Labs in the app.

I have Whatsapp installed for some days and can verify that the battery will still last at least the whole day.
when I was in JellyBean,* GPS can lock accuratelly...even with GPS only setting location.
but since updated to KitKat G4, GPS only- can't lock location at all. it always shows "Searching using GPS..." on notification panel.
any idea how to fix it?
