I'm runnning fission overclocked at 1200 and its running fast as hell, but when I flash any other rom with cache and data wipe the screen will freeze and a battery pull is required. I've done a full sbf and still a no go, but after I restore my backup I made w fission its running like a top again, is there something else I can do to fix this

What ROM are you flashing? I had this problem when I tried Liberty, both versions. That's why I just went back to fission. I like some of the other features liberty has, but if there are stability issues that's a deal breaker for me. For example, my phone would reboot while on phone calls sometimes.
If for some reason you were suspecting the overclock, I had these issues stock.
I'm running liberty 1.5 and it is the most stable rom i've ever used, so I would count unstability out. Have you tried redownloading the ROM? Perhaps something happened to it during download.
Happened to me but when I tried to flash Fission .....went back to Liberty

Yes it was liberty, I found once I formatted the sd card and reflashed all problems solved, thanks for the response guys.

I resently deleted an App from my phone, but the market still keeps trying to update it. It just sits there saying "downloading" but never does. If I try to cancel the download, the market app crashes. Is there some way to clear this? I have tried going through Root Explorer to locate were this may be stuck, but so far haven't had any luck.
Rooted Droid2 OC'd to 1.3Ghz still on 2.2 w/stock ROM
Thanks,
Scott
Which app was it? I had this problem with pandora but it went away when I switched roms.

It was called Wtfsimfd or "what the f**know should I make for dinner" I just installed it for laughs. But it seems to have cleared up now. I just finished installing the new already rooted and Deodexed.zip sbf for 2.3.2 and that fixed it.
Thanks.

I actually am experiencing this problem currently. I downloaded and installed a sleep sounds app, had it for a couple days, then uninstalled it successfully. But then I go into the market into my downloads the app is in there with a progress bar that just says installing. Its been about a month now and no matter what I do it won't go away. Rooted d2 stock rom no oc. Any suggestions?

My problem app cleared up when I did the 2.3.2 update.
Here's the link to the file and the instructions. I used the deodexed version and it worked perfectly.

I just updated my aria to the latest 2.2 liberated Rom. I installed it this morning and now just realized it said to wipe data before I installed it. But I didn't. I just plain out installed it. It seems like its running fine. But what do I do? Do I still need to wipe data or something?
Sent from my HTC Liberty using XDA App
If it were me, I would do a backup and wipe it then re-install, but If you are not experiencing any issues, then it does not seem like you need to. If you do encounter any issues, Then definitely do it.
No need to wipe data if you are going from a liberty to liberty, if you went to liberty to cm6 then yes you would need to wipe data..

Don't think too complicated for this, if you don't have problem, then let it be.
To tell you to wipe, is to lower the chance to have problem.
It's just same as upgrading/change of different OS of you PC.
e.g. One maybe painless from XP -> Vista without format, the other maybe turns out blue screen.
I have had my new DX a little over a month now and have rooted with liberty rom. Was wondering if I should update to gingerbread, and if so, does it go on top of liberty of so I need to flash back to my factory froyo settings? I'm still new and enjoying learning all this nerdy stuff.

If you still want to run a liberty rom on gingerbread, you can download the donate version of liberty toolbox, and if you look under nightlies in the rom section, they have it set up such that all you have to do is click the icon, and liberty takes care of the rest. quite handy... you dont even have to boot into recovery and install, liberty takes care of it all
Thanks for the advice.

That was so very easy. I'm now running liberty gb v 0.5. Seems pretty stable so far. Only issues I'm having is battery life and had to take the back way to enter input method for SwiftKey keyboard.
So the time has come that I need to do an SBF on my phone. I've done it before (most recently back in Febuary when I had bricked my phone), but that was when my phone was running Froyo. My question is, can I use the same process I used to Sbf my phone when it was running froyo to one that is now running GB?
Sent from my DROID2 using XDA App
There isn't a SBF for GB, you have to SBF back to Froyo, then root, then reflash GB leak....if wanted.

So I went ahead and did an SBF on my phone back on Tuesday. Things seem to have gotten worse. I receive most of my text messages more than once (I received one yesterday 26 times), my phone is chronically low on memory (never more thamn 20% available) and it runs super slow much of the time. What gives? Oh, and I'm running Zombie Stomped 1.7 if that helps.

sounds like after you sbf'ed you didn't go into the stock recovery and wipe data and cache.
Tw, lp and go. All rebooting randomly. On gingerbread jvh. Others experiencing this?
I am NOT talking about a total os reboot, only the launcheR. Happens very often when coming back to home screen from an application.

I have the same problem, it's annoying especially when I'm now using SPB Shell 3D, it takes so long to restart. Have had the problem since the early Gingerbreads and no idea what causes it.
Are you on any custom ROM?
Same here since 2.3.3, always stock. It's very anoying :s

had that problem with speedmod T5 or so. changing the kernel solved the problem. could be something else of course. are you using custom kernels?
I've used zeam launcher and go launcher and they also reboot on me.

Been on stock and some custom kernels and atm on FuguMod, same problem on all of them.

It would be useful if you state your system configuration.
Like which ROM, Kernel, Theme you use.
I did not have this issue on JVH but used is only for one week.
Now I'm on JVP more than one week and also did not have any issue.
Maybe try to update to JV9 or JVP to see if you problem will be gone.
Yeah same here. tried on different kernel too.but same reboot problem.

Stock JVH with CF-kernel and root. No theme.
re flash with a stock FW and just dl the launcher you want then flash CF root... avoid themes, cuz some (most) are a paint in the ***
The problem can't be the kernels, with jvh and stock kernel I had that problem and with jvp/darkcore same things occurs.

What could be the culprit, since not all are affected? Some rogue app?
I noticed this behaviour started about two days after flashing darky.s 10.1 ....

Try a wipe (factory reset) and don't restore apps afterwards but install them new from the Market. This should solve a lot of problems.
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA Premium App
If you guys came from froyo, then if you restored apk data when you moved to gingerbread you will have problems simple as. How about instead of repeating your problems over and over work together and do some research and try and solve them, and if you are going to post add details of your installs etc
