[Q] AOSP camera with blur gallery - Droid X General

I installed liberty 1.5 and was messing around in the toolbox. I installed the blur gallery and the AOSP camera. When I open the camera app it works fine but where the little gallery window is to open up your gallery when I click on it; it doesn't do anything. But from the gallery app if I click on the camera button it will pull up the camera but I cant get back to the gallery from the camera. I even moved the blur gallery to system/app and corrected the permissions. Still doesn't work. Any ideas why or how I can fix this. Not a big inconvenience but would be nice if it worked both ways.

Set 3dGallery as default gallery app

Ive just installed 3D gallery and was wondering if theres a way to set it so that all items that open the old picture folder (esp through the camera) open in this gallery as well. Thanks for the info

[Q] Does your stock camera app store the orientation of the photo taken?

The reason I asked is that mine dont... I am using official 2.2.
In the camera app it self it does rotate accordingly. but when i take a photo in portrait, it does not show up so in the Gallery app.
I wonder if it is the problem with the software.. or that my phone spoilt. I am certain my accelerometer works in other apps though... the screen do autorotate.
Thanks for any response.
the gallery app auto-rotates the pictures also

Thanks for responding mate. Does the photo you taken in portrait mode show up as portrait automatically?
Confirmed on my 1.4.6 build of Steve's Froyo. The camera app 'looks' like it rotates to snap in portrait, but then picture is sideways in the 3DGallery. The part that gets me is even when you click Menu > More > Rotate Right, it only works for the Gallery App. As soon as I click Share with Facebook or Twitter or whatever, it puts the pic back into landscape!! GRRRR!!!

Yea that's what i meant... pretty annoying. Wonder if there is a fix.
I am using a third party camera app Vignette, it works fine without the orientation problem.
Stock 2.2 here does keep the rotation settings stored. I'm on the 15332 build. Only when I use shootme for screenshots, the image shows in the gallery upside down.

[Q] Can you change gallery app?

Just wondering if there is a way to change the gallery app when you swipe the camera to the right? I have installed a different gallery app and when I'm in the camera and I swipe, I want my new gallery to open and not the stock one
You can't access the 3rd party app using the camera swipe gesture, because this photo viewer is integrated into the camera app itself.
The camera function is in the gallery app (not the otherway around, but same idea, really), so there is no good way to change to behavior.

Changing default Gallery App to QuickPic

Went to app manager tried to 'clear defaults' on the Gallery app, that was grey'd out.
tried to freeze gallery with Link2sd, when i click the preview from camera, it throws an error msg.
i can't take the dim images of the stock gallery app, quickpic is so much faster.
any ideas?
i am rooted.
it's greyed out because gallery isn't set as default for anything.
it's hardcoded into the camera app that it should use the gallery app in preview mode.
the only way to get around this is by using a 3rd party camera app, but loading previews will be slower.

Using QuickPic instead of default gallery?

On the d802 with cm13 using nano gapps, I want to set QuickPic as the default gallery app, when I go into file manager and click an image I took with the camera it's set to QuickPic and same with other images but in camera when I click the photo I just took in the bottom right it comes in the default.
How do I make images I just took come up in QuickPic instead of default gallery?
