Hi all,
I wonder if anyone can help, all of a sudden when I type keys on the phone pad its very quiet I can hardly hear the tones as I press the keys, I've double checked all the sound settings and everything is as loud as possible, all other sounds and notification sounds work just fine.

I have installed a number of different dial pads while I have had the phone. I am now back to the default.
I seem to remember theat the tone volume (when the numbers are pressed)changed with the phone volume. Now the volume is either loud or of if I have the sound muted.
Does anyone know how to get the varible volume on the key tones again?
Thanks
I did a search and couldn't find the answer to this. Does anyone know how to mute the dial pad tones and/or how to make them play through the earpiece, and not the speakerphone?
Hey i was wondering whether it's possible to change the volume of the text and ringing tone whilst keeping the clicking sound of the screen pretty low...because i like my texts loud but i dont want the taps the same volume. Thanks
Hey there guys,
So I've noticed the oddest thing, You know how you can lower your ringer volume by just clicking down as many times as you want until it is on vibrate then finally silent. Well on mine it doesn't. I can click the down volume button a few times and the meter shows the yellow bar decreasing, yet when the phone rings it is still on full blast. The only thing that works is full blast, vibrate and silent which is strange and inconvenient when I'm in public because I don't want to put it on vibrate or silent, I just want to lower it a bit so its not so startlingly loud in public. Is anyone else having this issue?
Thanks,
Haven
While on a tech support call today I place the GN2 on the desk and used speaker phone. It works great, but when having to make in call menu selections using the keypad the touchtones are VERY LOUD !!!!! I have turned off all key tones that I can find , but no success. Any fixes?

These are called DTMF tones, they're standard sounds used by touch tone phones to broadcast menu choices to phone systems like the one you called (among other things - they are also used for dialing). If you turned them off then you wouldn't be able to navigate through those menus. The only advice I can give you is to turn your call volume down while you're making selections so they're not so loud.
Hey guys does anyone else hear like little click or tick when you have vibrate on tap on or vibrate on keypress on. You can really hear hear it when you have vibrate on keypress on and are typing something, it almost sounds like a little static noise, dont think its normal but if it is then its really annoying
