wifi problems xperia x10

H guys, my wifi won't connect to internet. It shows im connected to the hub, but won't let me connect to market, mail browser. It's only working if i go trough 3g. Any ideas, getting bit frustrated, i've searched on the internet bu can't find a solution.Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in anticipation. liza
Hello Liza,
Is it your home network or an office network? If it's office network then perhaps you need proxy settings...

if your on the 026 firmware i believe there is a wifi bug, so could be that
Im on 026. Never had anny wifi problems . Try to restart the ruter. If that dont help remove the wifi connectin profile for that rutter from your phone and the reconect.
And if that dont work . Do a factory reset on the ruter and yor phone

Hello,
does the WiFi connection break down if you loose your cell phone signal?
That would be the R2BA026 bug, which really annoys me because I'm living in the basement with low signal strengh
R2BA026 and have no problems at all.. switch off the router and then try again. Wifi at home work even the local coffee shop no problem.
good luck
i dont think this will work for your problem, but you should go into your wifi settings-menu-advanced-wifi sleep policy and select never
give that a try
Got the same problem, kinda.
I can see my network, but everytime i tell my x10 mini pro to connect it scans>connects>disconnects - and thats the cycle it does 24/7 - Nothing wrong with my router - 100% setup - nothing wrong with the x10´s settings..GG SE
sounds like a proxy problem or an authentication problem

Can someone help me with wi-fi hotspot

I've read all over the internet of people with MT4G phones being able to connect via the wi-fi hotspot.
I cannot. My computer picks up the hotspot, gets and IP address, and then tells me it cannot connect to the internet. All this in the network control panel. I'm on a MAC.
Worst case I can call and add the 15.00 package and get some trouble shooting then cancel later but I'd rather not have to do that.
Any ideas??
FYI- This happend when stock unrooted and still happening rooted with gorilla sense rom installed.
Thanks in advance....
do u have gorilla newest rom the 2.3 update?
make sure u search for a.rom that has the mac wifi connect working in the.changelog, i beleive its a known.issue...

I have the GS right before that... But as I stated I had this problem before rooting/flashing.

Try to Play around with the settings. i was having a hard time connecting via one of the password modes. The computer would detect the network and connect but I want able to do any browsing. Had to try a few different settings before finding one that works.

Please help.

Hi guys. I use WiFi a lot but I have 500MB for free to use now so I tried using it by enabling mobile network and nothing actually happens. Why is this? Is there a problem ?

if you want to use mobile networking instead of wifi, you need do turn wifi off.
if both mobile networking and wifi are enabled, your phone will use wifi.
Thank you for responding. I found the issue. I had WiFi off of course but I had to reboot my phone. Many wildfire users have this problem. Thank you anyway

If you mean your signal strength is low that could be a reason for having unreliable data on your mobile.
If your router is cluttered try moving it to a spot where its by itself or just flash DDWRT on your router
I know an extreme but still ddwrt is excellent!

Hi, which program do you use for wifi tethering? Sometimes tethering is problem in custom rom.
You can solve this problem by using program from play store, like bernacle wifi tether, or wifi tether for root...
Or did you try it already?
Good luck
