Calander all day events not shown - Xoom General

Maybe I am missing something here, but I look at my Cal and none of my all day events in any of my Cals are showing.

Stock or alternative app? In calendar or widget?

No problems here. My calendar contact's birthdays are showing up just fine and they are all day events.

stock cal. looking in the week, day and month views dont show the all day events.

Added on the Xoom, added on Google on line?
Sync on in Accounts & Sync settings for your gMail account?

This was user error. Somehow I got put 6 months ahead and didn't have any all day events scheduled.

birthday reminder

Hi,
I like on the Xperia thht in the calender, when somebody has Bithday it shows you the age. I have two problems:
1) If I look the month it doens't show when somebody has birthday, I have to check every single day, which I sometime forget on weekends. Is this changeble?
2) I have a german Xperia and the birthday are written like this: Birthday of sbd. If the name is long it's like this: Birthday of Jimmy Exempl... The name is too long and I can't see the person's age anymore. Tapping on the "appointment" won't help either. How could I see the age?
Thx
On mine I don't even see birthdays or anniversaries showing up on my calendars even though they are on the contact info. How do I make them show up with a reminder?

Sync it with Outlook, then they are shown like appointments. Don't know if that's a bug or a feature from WM, but it works this way.

Same problem here. I have lots os contacts with birthday but they dont show up in the calendar
I use spb shell as a panel, and I would like to see highlight of birthdays, although I even dont see any highlight in this panel calendar.
Is there a way to resolve this?
Thks in advance
i think that you should use today agenda as it has many featuers when it comes to displaying calendar entryes. The downside is that you can use it only in normal Today screen.

I synchronized all contacts and birthdays with Outlook 2007 and everything is shown in my calendar ( "Name Surname (Year)"). At midnight I get a notifcation "Birthday of Name Surname". That's okay, but I will see the birthdays in my "ToDo-List" / list of appointments one or two days BEFORE!
I don't need a notification ad midnight or 10:00 am "TODAY: Your wifes birthday!" That's too late
Any ideas how to get them in the list of appointments?
Use another software as calendar replacement, like Pocket Informant or Agenda Fusion, or Agenda One, or Agendus Pro (probably there are other software that can do it). They can do it easily without any sync with a pc.

Change batch of recurring all-day events reminder times?

Hi folks,
I've spent the last 8 hours organising all of my contacts getting their email addresses, phone numbers and birthdays all up-to-date on my Google Apps 'Contacts', and synced via Exchange to my mobile. Lovely jubbly. However, their birthdays never got transferred into my phone's calendar (which kind of defeated the point of me adding them all to the contacts!). So I downloaded and ran 'B2C' (Birthday to Calendar) which worked beautifully.
Only there's one issue - the reminder time that's been set for all of these recurring all-day events is 2 hours, which would mean that I'd only be reminded about each persons' birthday at 10pm the night before (which, to be honest, isn't ideal when a card and present are in order!).
So I was wondering if there was any way of changing the reminder time of each and every recurring all-day event in my calendar (since the birthdays are the only recurring all-day events I have in there) to 3.5 days instead of 2 hours? Can I run a batch script or something to do the job?
Trying to avoid having to use Outlook if I can, since I'm on a Mac and it'll be a pain in the arse trying to get all of that set up and working properly on my VM.
Cheers!

Facebook Calendar Sync - Wrong Times and Duplicates in Outlook

I have both my Exchange account and my Facebook account setup to sync on my Vibrant. The calendar items that sync from Facebook show up fine on the phone and they are in turn synced to Exchange and show up in Outlook. The problem is, they all show up with the wrong time in Outlook... they are all 4 hours early. I live in the Eastern Time Zone, so I think it's that they are listed as Pacific Time. Is there any way to change that?
Also, everytime the phone does a scheduled sync of the Facebook calendar, it adds another copy of the Facebook events to my Outlook calendar. It creates a new one every time. Any suggestions?
For now, I've just had to disable calendar sync for the Facebook account on the phone, but I'd like them to sync.
Doesn't anyone else have their phone syncing with their Exchange and Facebook calendars? If so, do you see the wrong time and duplicates for Facebook calendar items that are added to you Exchange calendar in Outlook?
Someone else must have their phones syncing their Exchange and Facebook calendars, right?
I haven't had this exact problem but something very similar. I use calWidget to display my agenda on my home screen. Any of my face book events that show up on there are behind by 5 hours. When I click to enter the calendar app though, the correct times are listed. This only happens with my facebook events. So you're not alone Yogi, but I have no solution for you.

Thanks for the response. At least now I know I'm not crazy.
You aren't tripping, I have the same exact problem. The only difference is mine are off by 7 hours. Its really pissing me off, and makes my widget totally useless. UGH!!!!!!

Yogi, I am currently experiencing the exact same problem here in our office with one user. The question I have, is why is Active sync even pulling in the Facebook calendar events? My user happens to be using the same email address for both Facebook and work email accounts, could that be why Active sync is pulling the events? In any event, if at this point I could get the Facebook events to show up on the users phone and not her outlook that would be fine. The best solution would be to get the FB events to show up properly in her outlook, (they are showing up about 4 hours early) at the right times and not repeating themselves.
Did you find any solutions?

Unfortunately, no, I never found a solution to this.

[Q] Any good calendar apps for repeat appointments?

I'm using Android WITHOUT a data plan on my Verizon xv6900 smartphone. The one annoying problem I have is the lack of a good calendar function. Since I'm not using data, I can't sync with Google calendar etc.
I have tried probably 15-20 different calendar apps and they all have one annoying trait in common: I can't schedule repeat appointments on the days of the week, ex. on every 2nd Tuesday. Almost all allow you to repeat appointments on the numerical day (ex. the 8th of every month), but not on the day of the week.
Does anyone know of a good calendar app that can schedule repeat appointments on the day of the week, not on the number?

Facebook declined events

I have my facebook synced with my calendar, now I came from Web OS and if you would confirm to an event, it would show up in your calender, if you would put maybe/not attending, it wouldn't for those pesky 2 month events that people love to make.
Now my problem is that I have it synced, and double checked and I am declined for the events and even have the "hide declined events" checked but yet they are still being displayed.
Anyone know how to get rid of it?

+1 Having the same issue. Bugs me so much that I hide the facebook calendar from my agenda widget!
Anyone figure out a way to fix it?
Don't use the facebook calendar sync'd to your epic. Just use the FB app...
