But if its device issue cant it be enabled with a hack

You tested 2 phones on 2 different networks? Can you test the Atrix on Telus? I get the same on Rogers, would be curious to see a Telus speed

I got an unlocked AT&T Atrix on Telus, also tested a factory unlocked iPhone 4, Telus Desire HD, unlocked SaskTel Galaxy S Vibrant on Telus for comparison.

I don't know what's with the upload speeds on the desire and the atrix, but like the OP I wish I'd have waited for the bell atrix.

Nexus S on SaskTel network?

hey guys..quick question. My friend in Canada wants to get the NS and wants to know if it will work on the sasktel network.
Any information?
thanks
It'll work, but not on 3G, judging by what I can find.
Also, there is an NS sub-forum...
I'm currently using the Nexus One on Sasktel's 3G, so I don't see why the Nexus S wouldn't work on it as well.
There are two types of Nexus One...
I'm aware, but don't really know the difference between them. My network type is HSDPA, Sasktel recently launched their 3G+ network in all major cities/towns in Saskatchewan, so if your friend is in a major town/city shouldn't be a problem.
The difference between them is the 3G/HSDPA frequencies they support.
Your most likely using the ATT model but the ns is a t-mobile model with supports 1900mhz not 1
2100 like ATT so it will work with edge but not 3g. You will have to wait for the ATT model ns

[Q] GSM Evo 3d on WIND in Canada

Looking for some expert advice... Assuming the early specs on the Evo 3d are true, will this GMS variant of the Evo 3d work on wind in Canada? I have a Telus Hero I'm ready to throw through the window, and wondering if I should hold out until the GSM version of the Evo3d hits the streets?

Speedtest Video of At&t Atrix 4g Gingerbread 2.3.4 3G Working

Speedtest of At&t Atrix 4g Gingerbread 2.3.4 3G working.
Speeds are almost the same as 4G
Cool! I can't get more than 2Mbps here (it's a network limitation, I guess... flashing radio files haven't helped much); but... with those speeds, what can you note about the battery performance? is 2.3.4. really for daily use?
I can verify near 4g speeds on 2.3.4
ping- 100ms
down- 3.58
up- 1.08
I had 4 bars when this test was run.

[Q] Canadian carriers + nexus 4

I bought HTC HD 7 from T-Mobile and it only worked on rogers (in canada).
Wondering on what carriers with unlocked Nexus 4 work?
Please help. I am a noobie at this kind of stuff

Hey, I live in Toronto and I plan on using my Nexus 4 on Mobilicity, but since the phone is pentaband, it will work on ANY carrier in Canada, although you will not be getting LTE on the big three. However, Bell has DC HSPA+ so your speeds should be best on that.
If it runs on the big three, I have no problem.
I live in Sudbury and there is no mobilicity here.
Works on the Big 3, their Little 4 clones and the newcomers (WIND/Mobilicity). Possibly more, I hear there are provincial carriers too in some places, but it probably works there.
Telus/Koodo, Bell/Virgin/Solo are HSPA+ 42Mbps
Rogers/Fido have HSPA+ 21Mbps
WIND/Mobilicty are HSPA+ 21Mbps

N7105 on Bell Canada

Hi Everyone,
Got my N7105 for 3 weeks now and I am having speed issue with the HSPA+ on Bell Canada. When I run the speed test seem my average download speed is 4 Mbps and upload is 2 Mbps. My other friend got his Nexus 4 today and we run a speed test with his phone. Seem he is able to reach 15Mbps download and 8 Mbps upload. Is there some settings i have to do to make it go faster?
Thanks
Philip
Hey, the reason why the Nexus 4 is getting faster speeds is because it supports Bell's DC-HSPA+ 42 network which technically should double your speed. However, your 4mbs seems suspiciously low. I'm using a SGH T889V Note 2 on mobilicity where they throttle you to 2mbs, but this phone does support the DC42. Also, Rogers has LTE on the 2600 mhz frequency which the N7105 supports, so that's the way to go if you want LTE.
I am having data issues with my note 2 as well on bell, it keeps going from h+ to h to 3g and sometimes won't load pages or nothing....really annoying
