In Spain Nexus S is only available with Vodafone (next month)
Somebody knows if Vodafone sell nexus S with original rom (and unlocked) or they put a vodafone rom?
How Vodafone is selling Nexus S in other countries?
Thanks
All nexus s phones have the standard gingerbread rom regardless of carrier.

And all Vodafone nexus S are unlocked ?
Thanks.
Yep, all Nexus S phones are unlocked.
I have yet to find a nexus with bloatware unless of course you consider stock google apps bloat.

Hi guy
I am going to pick up a nexus 4 asap but I am on three network on contract with
unlimited text calls and data ect
Walked into a o2 stores tried my three sim in the demo model great no probs then they grabbed a new phone from the back and it would Not accept the sim
So my question is a few forums say the nexus is unlocked on o2 pay and go
So why was this are some stock locked and others unlocked
All phones bought form the play store are definitely unlocked to all networks. I haven't heard of any carriers locking phones (even though some say they do they are still unlocked).
If your upgrade is Due - go to Carphone Warehouse.

I bought one of the o2 pay and go nexus and am using it with a '3' sim just fine.
600 mins, 5000 texts, unlimited data, £12.90 pm
I have the opportunity to acquire a nexus 4 on virgin UK. An orange sim works in it but atm cannot prove if my o2 simply will work. If anyone can confirm if carrier supplied handsets are unlocked that'd be great.

All Nexus 4's come unlocked.
Great thanks everyone - as I don't think this was bought from the Play Store, but instead carrier provided, I wanted to make sure.
I bought my Nexus 4 via my service provider (SFR France), I can see when I access the play store via the web interface it is clearly a SFR specific version, I noticed that when google released 4.2.2 I received my update a week later once SFR had approved the update.
Im worried in the future this delay could get longer as the phone ages. Is it possile for me to flash the pure google factory image firmware to remove the SFR identification?
I tried looking in the forum for this subject but I could not find anything on the subject.
Any help would be hugely appriciated
Thank you!!
What is it that you're seeing that makes you think it is a SFR version of Android? This sounds extremely unlikely to me.
What does it say about the build in Settings->About Phone?

Don't worry about this, I've also a nexus 4 buy with SFR carrier, and it show the same thing on playstore but it doesn't mean that the phone is SFR related, I've numeros androphone bought carrier-free and on the playstore it always display the carrier SIM i'm using.
It's normal

The main reason I ask is that SFR made a point of saying their team had approved the update to 4.2.2 and would be available shortly (this was a few days after the general release) IS it possible their Nexus 4 has a slightly alter build from google that they approve before releasing it?
What made me suspicious was the fact it said SFR. Before I had a sim free Sony Xperia S and that never said SFR against the operator column.

I still don't believe SFR would do this or that Google would even allow them to. Please post a screenshot showing OS information as per my original reply (and scroll down so we can see build version as well as kernel version).

Looks like the standard Google OS to me.

You've just got the standard OS like everyone else.
When a new version comes out then not everyone sees it immediately (though you can shortcut this via XDA and installing a flashable zip), it can take several days which is what you saw. You were told some standard stuff about Android releases from someone who doesn't understand what a Nexus phone is, hence the confusion.

This was actually publish on sfr 's website that they had approved the update! That's why I was confused.
I understand how nexus devices differ from operate customised ROMs for other devices. I was just worried if SFR had any input when they update was released to device they sold on contract.

Hello guys, does anyone know where i can buy the Xperia Tablet Z 3g? Been looking EVERYWHERE for 2 weeks there is either no stock, or only Ebay links, for american resellers.
Or would the USA version work on the Tmobile Baseband overhere
I would counsel against getting a US model unless you're certain it'd work. US networks are generally quite different to UK ones and I wouldn't, by default, expect a US device to work in the UK. Maybe someone with actual experience can correct me, though.

Was that on contract? As I want to buy outright. If not I will have to go with the 32gb. I don't mind having the 4g, as it still has the 3g basebands.
Out right no contract
