Dock power requirements - Atrix 4G General

I bought a media dock off ebay for $70, and for some reason it didn't come with a power cord.
Can somebody give me the specs off their power adapter for the dock? Taking a picture of the back would help.

Anybody?

No, basically the moto laptop dock is just a lcd screen and keyboard and it uses your phone as the cpu, ram, ext. What you can do is get the media dock a bt keyboard and mouse and use your tv like the laptop dock though.

Wait for some KIRF to appear on eBay

Broke charging pin.

I broke the bottom right pin on my charging connect on phone. I have he Main board from a different streak is it possible to swap the connectors? The other board has a video issue.

If your extremely good on soldering extremely small pins on a pcb board.
Look up the teardown pics of the streak and look how hard it'd be. I'd recommend against it. Also have you called dell to see if they'll fix it under warranty? Another option is to buy a desktop battery charger, or just use the streak with video issues to charge the battery.

Wall adapter makes squeaking noises

Alright I know this sounds weird and you probably think I'm crazy but here we go. My wall adapter for my charger makes squeaking noises. Imagine a cricket got trapped inside it somehow. That's what it sounds like. Its kind of quiet but definitely noticeable. If I unplug my phone from the adapter or unplug the adapter from the wall, it instantly stops. I'm using the stock Motorola charger and micro USB cable. Should I be worried?

It's going bad.
Seriously... I've had laptop adapters do the same thing.
It's the sound of a resistor dying.

It's crying for a replacement ......

Thanks for the replies. Pretty weird that it needs replaced after only about 5 months.

If it is just a high pitched whine, its probably ok. But if it is sporatic chirping there may be as short in the transformer and that is not safe.

It might be that one of the bearings on the hampster's wheel is going bad. I'd let it go for now. The only risk is that the hampsters get massive quads from the extra force needed to turn it.
If your into fixing those kinds of things yourself, like I am, and don't mind cracking it open, check the capacitors inside your charger. Electrolytic capacitors are prone to failure. My power adapter for my XM Radio did the same thing, when I opened it up the capacitors had burst and were leaking. It's a cheap fix.
Or you could just buy a new charger, lol.
Voidwarranty is definetly correct my knowledge of pcs says thats a capacitor you would have to be willing to solder but it would be easy its a common problem with cheap graphics cards or motherboards

Charging issue..

Bought a brand new Nexus 7 and it won't charge unless I twist it put pressure on it. Is this a common problem straight outta the box!!?? I already returned it once today because original one I bought had been open.

Same here. Except I'm not forcing it in plug it in it shows not charging but it is. Go Asus. U suck.

No problem here, just to make sure u use the provided USB cable and the provided power adapter
my usb cable is messed up. The small connector - the plastic piece that has the usb symbol on it is loose and it just comes off.. I dont really want to return the device just for that because mines is charging fine but still... it's kind of a nuisance.

USB Powered QI Charging Pad

Hey, I was wondering if anyone has come across such an accessory? It would be super useful for my car (and other scenarios I'm guessing). If anyone has suggestions of how to wire in a normal QI charger into a car that would be really helpful too!
Cheers!

If you really want to do that you could get one of these http://www.amazon.com/Energizer-Single-Position-Inductive-Charger/dp/B005QZ8BF0/ref=sr_1_cc_3?s=aps&ie=UTF8&qid=1352514463&sr=1-3-catcorr&keywords=qi+charger and one of these http://www.amazon.com/Tripp-Lite-PV150-Portable-Inverter/dp/B0000AI0OE
Kind of a pain but its the only thing I came up with
Thanks. I thought about that but I think I'd prefer to just use a USB cable than spend that money on extra devices for my car... Thanks though!

Same here. Considering the head unit I have already has a usb plug. I'm sure they will make them eventually.
The dock that you can buy from the Play Store is micro-usb powered. So you can just have that plugged into your car.
Keep in mind its only about 70% efficient so for other battery applications its probably best just to plug your phone straight in.
Am I the only one surprised at the dearth of Qi chargers combined with the increasing prevalence of Qi-enabled phones & cases?
Not really... There's like 2 Qi-enabled phones.

I think the second one includes the Wallplug USB power adapter
If you go dig through the accessories section there was a thread with a car mount QI charger, it's pretty much all you need.
