[Q] OEM car dock Audio question - Vibrant General

I have official froyo 2.2 running the Samsung Vibrant 2 app. I just recieved the OEM windsheild car dock and I cannot get the audio to work thru the dock. From what I have read, some have gotten it to work successfully. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Thanks in advance!

LiquidAUX Bluetooth Car Kit & 2.1 ROMs

This isn't supposed to be some sort of complaint or anything, but was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions/ideas why my K33428US LiquidAUX Bluetooth Car Kit stopped working with ANY 2.1 ROM (FRESH & Damage)
it worked great with 1.5 but honestly I am not rolling back now, will just have to use the headphone jack for now.
At first I thought it was an issue with AD2P in general but then i started to see posts where people had success with it, so now i am disappointed.

[Q] Droid X Car Stereo Woes.....

Has anyone been experiencing these issues?..... I have a 2009 Honda Civic SI and the car is equipt with a usb port for mp3 players, iPod etc. When i Connect my Droid X to it, it attempts to load then I get the word "Unsupported" on my stereo display. I know this was possible on the D1 but cannot get this going with the X. I have tried all options the X gives for mounting USB and even tried USB debugging both on and off. I have my music on the root of my SD in a folder and am running on the official 2.2.1 update if that has any relevance. any guidance would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
I have a kenwood car dock in my car I found out today that the doubletwist app(free on the market) will work with usb. I don't think the stock music app can

Those systems can be picky, as much as it may suck i'd say backup your SD, format it with the droid, throw on some mp3s and nothing else and see if it works. sometimes from dirty mounting and un mounting these usb players will refuse to talk to it.

Tried DoubleTwist last night as soon as I read your suggestion but unfortunately, no luck. Thank you for the suggestion though.

Very tempted to try this just not looking forward to dealing with this mess we call sd cards lol. Thank you for the suggestion.
What about just hooking it up to the AUX port?? Get a 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable and you'll be set.

Thats always been an option but in order for music titles to show on car stereo screen and switching titles with stereo itself, it has to be hooked up via usb. My D1 was a champ when it came to this but i read somewhere that the 2.2 or 2.2.1 update disabled some usb playback capability when it came to car stereos or something like that. Anyway, thanks for the suggestion but really shooting for success with USB.

Under the settings there is a check box that says Auto USB drive. Check that maybe that has to be on in order to recognize it properly.
Buy a new one. Most car stereos are utter crap when it comes to proper support of A2DP and AVRCP. Parrot, Pioneer and Clarion were the ONLY brands that had multiple stereos that reliably worked with my Droid X & my friend's Captivate. (Galaxy S)
We spent HOURS in a Car Toys store with like 80 decks testing them out. The sales guy, (who actually seemed knowledgeable on the subject; we were floored) agreed that it was very poorly implemented on most stereos as of now.
Again; Pioneer, Parrot & Clarion. (in no particular order, though I'm a personal fan of Pioneer)
Thanks for the suggestion. Speaking of new one, I accidentally found out the wife is getting me my pioneer touch screen navi audio system with all the multimedia goodness I could ever ask for, for christmas. That would surely solve my issues lol!!! We shall see!!!!

It was the 2.2 update and its not so much that Moto directly broke playback, but Moto did force an unneeded drivers image on us. Unfortunately, this image shows up first when connecting via USB to computers and many car stereos (mine included). Your stereo, as well as mine, sees this image first and can't read it.

Problems with Audio on Car Dock

Okay Ive been looking for about an hour now and have given up on the search for this. But I'm trying to get my cardock to play music through the 3.5mm jack on the back of the dock when its plugged in. I've found a bunch of useful posts that fix it in Froyo but I can find any fix to work on Gingerbread. Specifically I'm running latest CM7 and using the regular CM kernel. If there is another kernel I can download to fix the problem or anything please let me know.
Thanks!
are you in the right forum? (Samsung Vibrant).
I don't know of a car dock, and there's no port for it. The USB port is on the top.
I have the desktop dock and I couldn't get the sound to route through the external speakers either. There is a setting in CM7 but it doesn't seem to work. I also had an app that would re-route sound for the car and desktop dock that works great on 2.2 and 2.2.1 but it would not run in CM7.
To my knowledge, and this is running with Froyo, the only way to get the audio to come out of the car dock 3.5 mm jack is to use the Samsung Car Dock application. I May be wrong, but this is what I have discovered so far, which sucks as I really prefer the Google Car Home app.
cyberpyr8: What is that redirect app?

[Q] Audio Out not working in 2.3 EE03 and newer?

I was wondering if anyone had figured out a fix for this problem:
The USB audio out function when using any dock application no longer works in any 2.3 build. It had worked in every 2.2 build/ROM I have tried, but regardless of what I try on 2.3, no dice.
I have tried the SGS Audio Dock routing app and setting it manually, with no luck. Has anyone else encountered this and figured out a solution/workaround (besides just putting in the 3.5 jack or bluetooth )?
Even if someone could point me in the right direction of where to poke around, that'd be great! I honestly just don't know where to begin...

Which rom? EF02 stock? It works for me using Galaxy Dock Sound Redirector on AA i3.
Edit: Just noticed you said EE03. If you still have EE03 you need to upgrade to EF02 to get audio through USB, as it was not supported in EE03.

USB audio out

Hi all, I recently upgraded to 4.4 ( tried several roms, on omni now) however I can't find an audio out option anymore... I use my ibolt dock in the car a lot so really missing it!
Does anyone know how I can get this back without going back to 4.3?
