ever since i preordered its all i can think about, that and troll xda all day..
so will the games available in samsungs game center be sgsii exclusive?

Dont know about the games part yet, but you are atleast one of the lucky few to be able to get one.
Still waiting for a good release in India and not the imports.

Dont know when you pre-ordered, but I ordered mine the second week of feb, since then all I've done is pace around and patrol xda looking for news. Its torture.
Still, not long to go now

2 more days till handtec ships two of them my way

Do you really think they are gonna sell out?
The only people that know about it are people who have been searching on the net for it. Iv seen no advertisements in the UK about it yet.
I'm gonna go to Phones4U tomorrow and check it out.
If its only on Orange then im not getting it until its available on different carriers.
Orange has gave me hell for the last two years.. I'm never going back to them

You too? I've had bad experiences with Orange too here. I'm going to try and get the Phone SIM free, failing that Pay as you go. Then I'm getting the One plan from 3 mobile. Unlimited data provides for one hell of a dongle.

I don't think I've been this excited about a phone since the iPhone 4. No pun intended lol. was told on Saturday to expect 26th delivery then a email at 2am to say 27th now nothing... I don't think its coming somehow

Phones4u just called me to say a SGS2 will be delivered to their shop in ten minutes.
Contract only though! Bugger.. the wait continues......

I just called my local Phones4U and asked if they are doing it sim-free and they said they won't know until they get it in tomorrow.

Liverpool store have it. Went in today and had a little go. £35 cheapest contract, on 02 they could do it for £37. I loved it, but like you already ordered with buymobilephones.net. Has your order been processed with buymobilephones.net yet mate?

And they haven't processed it yet, no. I don't know why though. I'm hoping Phones4U have a good deal so I can just get it tomorrow instead, it'd be a lot less hassle!

I believe he said Vodaphone and Orange would be roughly £32.50-£35 with trade in; and 02 would be £37, I don't believe they had it on three.
As for buymobilephones I've just had an email back from them today regarding my query about processing incase anybody is interested. I suspect this will be same for most of the retailers online (mobiles.co.uk/dialaphone/buymobilephones) etc will probably all send out roughly the same time they told me:

So if they have yet to receive the handset, yet phones4u already have them in stock, I wonder when they will receive there allocation. Perhaps retailers won't receive them until the latest date possible (Saturday/following Tuesday) to stop them being sold and sent out early.
It did tempt me to buy today from phones4u, but at an extra £5 a month, it just didn't tempt me enough, considering that's an extra £120 over the contract.
Anyway hope that helps anybody waiting to get there phones; I guess we wont get them until Thursday/Friday next week now.

Hands down cheapest place to buy without contract

Ordered my Galaxy Note already cuz it was supposedly due to arrive for release on 11/01/11 but now AFTER THEY DEBITED MY CC, that may be changing. The new word is it may end up being 11/17/11 after all just as originally announced and this SUCKS of course cuz I chose this over the Nexus due to the earlier release date.
Otherwise I would've waited and saved on the accruing interest charges - although I could've saved the credit just in case of an emergency of some sort. Hell I've never paid full price for a phablet or smartphone before let alone buy an unlocked version.
This better be worth it baby! It better be worth it.
I sure am going to miss getting those updates from Google earlier than a carrier would've released 'em.

I ordered from England @ a place called Clove.co.uk & paid $705 US. But this is for an UNLOCKED PHONE, I will not be bound by any yearly contact with anybody. I'll be free to go to the best carrier with the best coverage & price anytime I want to.
The price is with it to me considering its going to be somewhere in the neighborhood of $299 - $399 WITH A 2-year contact. So do I think it worth the price? Hell yes I do!

You scared the **** out of me!!! The difference in pricing comes down to the shipping fees. I pre-ordered early, like when they announced it on September 1. I've been hitting the site daily finally saw a sort of decent price and spanked that monkey baby!
It could also have been the exchange rate too. I called Handtec and the difference comes down to shipping making Clove & Handtec pretty much the same price +/- a few $$$. That isn't enough to make me cancel the order and go with Handtec. Also, Handtec seems a little confused when you ask specific questions relating to specs and other info.
Maybe it was just the hit I dealt with - I dunno. Lastly, they're offering a version"network unlocked" which as he described as "upon boot I would see a network logo and from then on it would be basically unlocked, and that could be taken care of by either rooting the PHABLET or some other kind of software solution". Oh the price for that version is roughly £448.99 if you want to take a chance on that. They are expecting to receive they're first shipment on 10/31 and puter-orders will go out that same day.
Sounds awful confusing comming from a sales rep from such a well known dealer. For me that pretty much sealed Handtec' fate of me NOT buying a phablet from them.

Not really i pre ordered my HTC Desire and LG Optimus 3d and it came to my house 9am on the day both phones were released...

Carphone warehouse on Vodafone £31 per month for 24 months, 32 gig in blue free.
800 minutes any network
Unlimited texts
500 meg data
O2 gave me such a fu©king run around with promising to match that deal, then 2 days later saying they couldn't that I decided to go to Vodafone after 11 years with O2.
Yesterday O2 send me a mail saying my order was being processed for £250 handset at £75 a month for 24 months... I was proper peeved. Sorted now, but put me off O2 a hell of a lot.
this deal is the cheapest I seen so far I think.
Edit: Carphone Warehouse also recon I'll get the handset on release day or day later... not sure I believe that, but we'll see I guess.

Meaning we always have the latest mobiles blah blah.. Anyway i have ordered a tonne of phones from Phones 4 U and Carphone Warehouse. We have always received our phones either on the day of release or a day earlier...

Your very lucky then because in my experience (all the way back to nexus one days) pre-ordering is kinda worthless... Will look forward to be proved wrong this time though

I'm kind of on the fence on whether or not I want to order from GameStop. There's the obvious cost benefit with no shipping, but I haven't been able to confirm if it has all the same bonuses as the Play Store. Plus they list the shipping date as July 31st, and I can barely wait for it as it is. What's your guys opinion on the better choice? I wanna order it soon, I'm really excited for it!

The general consensus is that it won't include the 25 gift card if ordered from gamestop this hasn't been confirmed but is likely

Nope, I've already pre-ordered from Play Store. Anyone that pre-ordered from GS, have they given you a release date yet?

No date per se, just says it'll ship in 3-4 weeks.

When I spoke to the guy at my GS he said hat they have a ''soft date'' of 7/31 but in the ''training'' they received to push these tablets they were told mid july. When they have a hard date it'll be listed as a ''street'' date.

If you have anything to trade, go with Gamestop. I traded in my 64gb iPod Touch 4th Generation that I never use anymore. It was in "Like New" condition, so the trade-in value was $203. With the extra 30% I got around $265 for it. With the original cost and tax of the tablet ($266.05), I owed $0.85. So I basically got the tablet for less than a dollar. I had saved up enough money to buy it, but now I'm pocketing the $270 that would have been spent on it which is a pretty damn good feeling.

Expected price of the GN 3

I wonder what the expected price of the Note 3 would be after settling down for a month.
I see differing prices for preorders in some sits and it is way more expensive to the the price I paid for my unlocked Note 2.

These are SIM unlocked (can be on multiple carriers) and possibly not bootloader locked. Let the buyer beware.

In italy we are expecting 729 euro, on the 25th of september.

Of course price will go down. Same thing happened last year. Hardcore fans will be pay that price but most average buyers will wait it out. I'm waiting price will drop once released, also lack of sales figures will help drop price.

Price is between 750 and 800 USD for the 3g and the lte.

$50 TO $100 will take months. not worth the wait to me

Netherlands is set at around €711 (T-Mobile)/€699 unbranded (Studentmobiel), Germany unbranded at around €649.
The S4 (snapdragon) was €649 at launch in Germany, and is €499 today. So prices do most certainly drop over time!

Probably due to several factors primarily poor preorders, still plastic, iPhone release date and rumours of Nexus 5. Patient is most certainly a virtue pal but of course if you are smartphone junkie that doesn't mean anything,
I can't help thinking Samsung are greedier then ever before, they give you less for your money. I'm personally waiting for nexus 5 to make up my mind which to get by then hopefully price would have dropped much further.

Release price here in Spain on phonehouse is 749€ including 50€ flip case, seeing around 650 in UK pounds for the UK.

Could you please share the site where you order it from and some details about availability?
Nowhere to preorder it in Belgium, I was considering placing an order at some UK store ( they stock it on 26th)...but the Netherlands is closer...
also,on all *.nl sites the availability is quoted "end september" as opposed to clove.co.uk where it clearly states 26th as shipping out date....in Germany it's 29th

Well I've ordered it from www.belsimpel.nl
On that site it's stated a 5 to 7 day delivery time. So i guess I'm getting it either next week or the week after that

To me, it's a toy, not food needed for nourishment or the cure for cancer.
I always bid my time and buy my toys long after the herds have settled down. I'll be getting the N3 (if i decide to get it) months and months after it's launched and for hundreds of dollars less. I can wait that long and it's worth it to me.
My current Note 2 cost me 300 and I didn't die because I didn't get it on day one rather than months later and much cheaper. Yeah, there are folks like me.
BTW, I really appreciate folks who go out and get stuff on day one regardless of price. You keep the game alive versus cheapos like me. ???

You're not a cheapie you've just got your priorities right. Essentials take precedence over luxuries.
Keep it up you're a dying breed in an age of consumption fuelled society.

Those who can afford to get in on it from the gate should go for it if they so wish, those who can't should wait until they can, simple as that.
There is nothing wrong with constantly buying "the next big thing" if you can afford it and nothing wrong with waiting if you can't.
