Problem with APNdroid and similar after upgarde to 2.3.3 - Nexus One General

Hi All,
After upgarde to 2.3.3 from 2.2.1 when I disable 3G/EDGE/GPRS but leave MMS using APNdroid (or similar applications) I can not send and receive MMS. I have two separate APNa in APN settings one (first) with APN type 'default, supl' and second with type 'mms' it is according my provider.
When I disable data conection but leave MMS and go to APN setting I can see APNdroid working correctly it chanaging APN type only on my first APN but second (for MMS) leave untached but MMS are sneding and received only when both APNs are enabled.
For 100% I have correct setting in APN's from my provider site, and it is the same as set after using "Reset to default".
Does anybody have same problem?

Multiple APN use on Cyanogen 3.4

Hi,
Im using Cyanogen's 3.4 ROM with Hero Theme 1.3.5 and can not for the life of me figure out how MMS is supposed to work simultaneously with data/internet.
I have 2 separate access points configured on the phone, one for the internet and one for MMS.
If i create an MMS whilst the internet APN has the green radio button next to it checked it will not send. However if i go into the APN settings in the phone and check the radio button next to MMS i can send and receive it with no problems but can no longer browse the internet over GPRS / 3G
there is no settings in messages to tell the application which APN to use and it appears that in its current state, the phone is not smart enough to swap over temporarily to the correct APN and then swap back, it has to manually be done.
Is anyone else having this problem or is there something i am missing to get the phone using both APN's at the same time?
Thanks in advance.
Try setting the apn type to "mms" for the MMS one. The checkbox will dissapear, sa that might mean you can no longer manually select it, since it will be selected automatically
Ok i tried that and your right, it did remove the check box. but it didn't fix the problem unfortunately. just for good measure i changed my internet APN to have the APN type and that didnt work. so i removed it, left the MMS APN with the APN type of MMS, powercycled and tried again, still didnt work
Got any other ideas? is anyone able to replicate it? Cheers
You could try to use "default" for the Internet apn type, along with "mms" for the mms one. Other than that.. try searching the internet for the settings.

*FIX* Generic Network Failure *FIX*

This should fix most people's problems with sending and receiving MMS.
There are 2 APN settings, one for Internet and one for MMS.
Copy the MMSC, MMS Proxy, and MMS Port settings from the MMS APN over to the internet APN. *DON'T DELETE ANY APN SETTINGS* No restart is required.
I'm assuming the phone has issues switching between APN's or just doesn't attempt using the second APN. Let me know if this works for you or doesn't.

You'll likely want to mention which carrier this applies to, as personally I only have one APN, MMS is in it, for "Cingular".

Do you have this steps?
yes please post the steps! i have some APN manager apps but I'm only aware of one set of APNs (i.e. one XML file). Are there others?
Can you please give more info on how to fix this. Please I've had my phone like this for like the last three months, and I really need your help. Thanks in advance.

APN Missing

Very strange situation i m facing for a while...after flashing the rom, i configured the APN setting for internet and mms. everything was fine. today I was having a look to the settings and all missing from there, but internet 3G is working and mms as well .....where are the settings? how both services (mms and 3G) are still working is the settings are gone?
ok. I see nobody can answer... now, after flashing JMF, i got another issue: I configure the internet - apn, then, when I save, nothing appear in APN list. this situation is happen also when I configure the MMS - apn. I can't save these apn's...I made also "Reset to default", but useless. any advice?

MMS Problem

Hi,
I have a small problem, when i receive an mms with the mobile data off and after i put it on the message just says "Transfering" and i'm never able to see it?
Any fix ? Without being all day with data on..
Thanks
same for me, in italy with vodafone..
Guess this is the same everywhere ....
I have another problem with the mms app ... every time i recive a mms with a photo taken from a iPhone and i want to view it it FC`s
Tho i can recive & view pisc from any other device
Same here in slovenia simobil (vodafone) tried different apn setting like emptying everything except apn url and with proxy, username password...still doesn't work. Says sending/reciving.
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA App
Are you using the power butoon to turn data off? It kills data and mms needs data so you can't get it (might work with wlan on tho). Download something like apndroid wich has keep mms option from market.
Have you all checked your APN settings? Some widgets can cause them to be lost, I had this problem.
1. you need apn mms settings to be correct. send a mms to yourself to confirm this. for some reason also on my network (optus australia), apparently you need to send an mms to yourself to activate mms, before other people can mms you 0_0 (according to tech support)
2. for some reason if mms apn is off or disconnected, and you get an mms, when u reactivate mms data, it will be stuck at "downloading".
It seems impossible to recover this kind of MMS... Do other phones allow delayed MMS??? (This is my first smartphone, i don't get many mms)
To be safe, I use apn onoff by curvefish, leaving the option "MMS on". This way, when I get an mms, it automatically turns data on to recieve the message.
I am ultra careful, cause MMS is usually a "special" msg ie. from my friends (girls) lol...

[Q] No DATA auto enable/disable, when sending/receiving MMS

hi folks!
i just tried the new cm7.1 , just noticed that my 3G data connection does not come up automatically when I send or receive an MMS. (APN checked)
I have to manually enable data in order for the MMS to be sent or downloaded.
has anyone else notice this?
thanx in advance
Had the same kind of problem. Here is how i fixed it:
- In apn settings, try changing the apn type to "default, supl, mms" for "(name of carrier) MMS" and "default, supl" for "(name of carrier) Web"
I hope to work with you too!
i passt back to GSF b27 again , so I can't remember
is there in Cyanmodgen 7.1 a "enable always-on mobile data" option
inside the mobile network settings?
