[Q] Cant install Roms. - Fascinate General

Recently I flashed files to my phone in odin using the phone button and now every time i try to install a rom using odin it always stops at recovery.bin here is the code:

I have tried various roms like DL09, DI01 package 3. There is only one rom i can get through called T959TLJL3 i dont even know if thats the right name but when it finishes it reboots and goes to the galaxy s logo and then shuts down. Does any one know how to fix this or is it bricked?

Yours is for the verizon fascinate correct?
Edit: Also to confirm if you have verizon fascinate (some first posters actually have different phones), did you remove the battery, hold the down volume button and then inserted the usb cord?

i do have the verizon fascinate and when i tried the roms i did exactly what you said i got the yellow triangle with the text downloading... below it
i tried it again and i got this from odin

Two big problem after carefully reading is you flashed a telus rom onto your fascinate. Telus =/= verizon. Also you never should use the phone button, only the pda.
When you say roms, are you trying to flash the full .tar package? Post the link of the "rom" you tried to flash.
If you mean the full package, use the steps below:
1. Uninstall the samsung driver and reinstall it (make sure you have the correct version, 32bit or 64bit)
-File is in first post if you need it: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=948722
2. Get the EB01 file here: http://www.droidforums.net/forum/sa...roms-w-root-new-clockwork-updated-2-11-a.html
-Get the full stock froyo leak + root + froyo clockworkmod. (If this works, you can flash other eb01 roms using CWM.)
3. Redo the steps I said above using of removing battery and etc.
-And try odin again.

did you say that you used the phone button? ....if you did= BAD!! Use PDA only in odin

PDA only friend there is your problem. Check the forums there should be steps to get you back to stock so you can start again.

I have been using PDA but i accidentally clicked PHONE the first time I tried to flash a rom. I tried EB01_DXC.tar.md5 and i got this.

I also tried CWMrecovery.tar and it stops at recovery.bin also.

If you used the phone button I think it's too late to just try flashing one of these packages in Odin because your phone is now messed up pretty good. I do believe you can get things back to normal (because others have done this and recovered) but I don't know how. Try searching or waiting for someone more learned on the subject to hopefully drop in here. Good luck.

Not only does it seem you used the wrong button (PDA, phone) , you also seemed to try to flash something that belongs on a different phone (telus). Your best bet is to go on the IRC and get help as most people there know a lot.

obviously the wrong button as everyone in the world will tell you, and has......i can say i have heard of simply flashing a new modem in odin correctly....pda button! seems to have fixed some peoples button miscues. I hope this works for you.

I finally got it to work i just followed this guide. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=977493 Thanks to everyone for trying to help.

Modem flash via odin question...

I want to flash my T-mo S4 9505 to the newest radio. I am on M919UVUAMDL baseband right now have TWRT 2.6 and Rooted. I downloaded the latest "I9505VJUBMG3_modems.tar" modem file and would like to know if I need to choose "PDA" or "Phone" in Odin 3.07 window when flashing. When i chose PDA option I received the error below. Do I need to choose "Phone" option instead? Some website warn that it will brick my phone if i choose the Phone option.

Tried flashing the modem file as a Phone, got the same message as above.
Try to download the file again. Maybe it can be corruped. If you unziped, donĀ“t do it when you try again. Flash the file as you get with odin 3.04. Hope to help you.

The issue is , since modem is included in all odin flashable firmwares etc, there is no way to do it. I tried mobile odin, same issue, stucked at "clearing" , tried flash pit file along with stock firmware, tried flash back to original firmware that come with phone, same issue odin stucked at modem.bin. Tried untick "auto-reset" in odin, manual restart, enter download mode , flash again, does not work. Tried switching usb port, switch cable, nothing works.

Thanks thanks!!!!
I cannot get a network connection as my sim card is no longer found, even replaced reader but no better. Have tried flashing modem radio firmware but no better, what can I do to get the sim card working again.
The baseband is not available as it is linked to the sim card.
thanks
couldn't flash modem but got it all backworking with my recovery. I still can't GPS. that's my only issue. can't flash back to stock so I guess GPS just won't work for me. Any chance we can get a fix for this with a cm12 rom release to make things easier? This sucks, but I do appreciate all the work that goes into it. It's my fault I can't remember directions. lol
which option u tried pnone or pda

Dear XDA Guys (and the rest),
I've got a big problem with my i9505 phone. I've been using the Omega Rom V19 (android 4.3). Before, i tried multiple different roms like AOSB, Paranoid Android and other. Lately my phone for no reason would get stuck and would turn black. I thought i'd go off. But it was when i pressed the power button, it would turn off.
I had enough and wanted to flash the official Samsung Based 4.3 firmware. But when i tried to do this, Odin said that
"There is no PIT partition."
I went into Recovery Mode ( what at the moment was accesable), and wanted to do it manually. I wiped data / cache / dalvik.
(i used philz_touch_6.15.4-jfltexx as my recovery)
But i also formatted cash - preload - system - data
i also wanted to format data SD (media e.g. )
When i tried to format data SD, it went stuck. I couldnt get into recovery after that. But i could go into download mode.
I read about it on XDA, and I downloaded the PIT and tried to flash PIT and official firmware at the same time.

Soft bricked note 4 n910f

Hi there,
First off, I messed up. I've root my android phones over the years now and it came to the point I wanted to unroot my note 4 and get it back to stock.
This time I forgot to enable usb debugging before flashing to stock :crying:
So I can get into download mode, but not recovery mode. If I try to enter recovery mode I get the "firware upgrade issue, connect to kies" message. Trying to flash with odin fails, with multiple firmwares (5.0.1 and 5.1.1) and with my pit file, and trying different usb ports.
I've been googling for 4 hours now, I know how annoying it is for same old threads to be brought up, but nothing has helped me get to the bottom of it.
If someone could go through what I need to do step by step it would be much appreciated. Pretty sure there's a way of sorting it since I can at least access download mode, but I also know it may well be completely messed up.
Many thanks chaps.
Alright guys, looks like I've fixed it. So this is for anyone that stumbles across this thread with the same issue.
So after trying to install stock firmware from Samsung (I also used the pit file for my phone, don't think this is necessary though), and odin failing to flash it (I'll paste the odin log at the bottom of this post), I used "All samsung recovery" that I downloaded from here. http://www.4shared.com/file/bIYubEevba/All_samsung_recovery.html
Using odin v3.09, make sure your phone is in download mode and connect to the PC. Odin should recognise it's detected with a blue box.
Click AP (or PDA in earlier versions I believe) and select the All_Samsung_Recovery.tar zip file downloaded from the link above.
Might take a second to load into odin, it's not crashed be patient. And then click start.
Took my phone about 10 seconds and it was all done, just booted straight into the OS I originally tried to flash, so obviously it didn't fail like odin said.
Ok, so hopefully this will help someone. Let me know if I missed any information that I should add.
Here is the odin log when trying to flash the stock firmware originally:

Hi there,
Originally submitted to the note 4 section and realised it may not be quite as active and probably posted in the wrong place, I do apologise for that.
