No 2G/3G data in swiftdroid 2.3.2 1.4 - GT540 Optimus General

Im on Orange (uk) and I cant get any 2G/3G data modes working. It worked fine under 2.1 - Ive tried toggling all mobile data options and nothing. Mobile network is always reported as disconnected under Android status app. Any suggestions?

Solved

[Q] Having problems with o2 (uk) mms not working

Hi all,
Been searching around in order to try fixing not working MMS on my Bangsters 1.4 version of android. I have not tested on any other build but can confirm that MMS works in WinMo.
So basically i am just asking if any have had issues with this and solved it? I got theese settings from Carphone Warehouse where i got my phone from...
Main Menu > Settings > Wireless & Networks > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names
The following is how the active APN should be configured to get MMS on a O2 contract
Name : o2 APN
APN : wap.o2.co.uk
Proxy : <Not set>
Port : <Not set>
Username : o2wap
Password : password
Server : <Not set>
MMSC : http://mmsc.mms.o2.co.uk:8002
MMS Proxy : 193.113.200.195
MMS Port : 8080
MMS Protocol : WAP 2.0
MCC : 234 MNC : 10
Authentication type : None
APN type : default,mms**
** note the comma but no spaces inbetween default, mms **
Now one thing i dont have is MMS Protocol: WAP 2.0 the option to put in is not there.
Hope someone can help

go to start>settings>connections>manage existing connections>then go to the right there is a tab that says proxy settings make sure you have this network connects to the internet. also in the connections menu under advanced hit the select networks button now select the correct network that you would like to automatically connect to the internet. and I found some settings for you
Account 1:
Name: FidoWAP
APN - wap.fido.ca
User: fido
password: fido
Account 2:
Name: FidoINT
APN: internet.fido.ca
user: fido
password: fido
then, to set up WAP, create a Wap profile with the following:
Name: Fido
Connect using: FidoWAP
Gateway: 205.151.11.11
user: fido
password: fido
OR
homepage: »wap.fido.ca
session mode: permanent
connection security: off
data bearer: GPRS
GPRS connection: when needed
GPRS access point: wap.fido.ca
IP address: 205.151.011.011
authentication type: normal
login type: automatic
user:fido
password:fido
Auto config
You should config network to correct one. Use the software above.

[a] mms send/receive problem solved!!!

After countless thread searching, google searching, and trying just about every combination of APN values possible, I have finally found a way to BOTH send AND receive mms. This may have already been working fine for some of you, but for me I could not get it to work not matter which way I tried on the other threads.
Basically you need to have two separate APNs set up. One for internet and one for MMS. Here are my settings:
APN #1
Name: T-Mobile US
APN: e p c. tmobile . c o m (remove spaces)
Port: 8080
MMSC: http://mms.msg.eng.t-mobile.com/mms/wapenc
MMS Port: 8080
MMS Protocol: WAP 2.0
MCC: 310
MNC: 260
APN type: default, supl
APN #2
Name: T-Mobile MMS
APN: e p c. tmobile . c o m (remove spaces)
MMSC: http://216.155.174.84/servlets/mms
MMS Port: 8080
MMS Protocol: WAP 2.0
MCC: 310
MNC: 260
APN type: mms
I have Omega ROM v10, and Darkstone's Froyo Sense V3.2 (w/Hastarin's Kernel v8.1). Running with 2.12.50.02_2 radio.
