[a] mms send/receive problem solved!!! - HD2 Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting and Genera

After countless thread searching, google searching, and trying just about every combination of APN values possible, I have finally found a way to BOTH send AND receive mms. This may have already been working fine for some of you, but for me I could not get it to work not matter which way I tried on the other threads.
Basically you need to have two separate APNs set up. One for internet and one for MMS. Here are my settings:
APN #1
Name: T-Mobile US
APN: e p c. tmobile . c o m (remove spaces)
Port: 8080
MMSC: http://mms.msg.eng.t-mobile.com/mms/wapenc
MMS Port: 8080
MMS Protocol: WAP 2.0
MCC: 310
MNC: 260
APN type: default, supl
APN #2
Name: T-Mobile MMS
APN: e p c. tmobile . c o m (remove spaces)
MMSC: http://216.155.174.84/servlets/mms
MMS Port: 8080
MMS Protocol: WAP 2.0
MCC: 310
MNC: 260
APN type: mms
I have Omega ROM v10, and Darkstone's Froyo Sense V3.2 (w/Hastarin's Kernel v8.1). Running with 2.12.50.02_2 radio.

Are you running PPP or RMNET?

[Q] Having problems with o2 (uk) mms not working

Hi all,
Been searching around in order to try fixing not working MMS on my Bangsters 1.4 version of android. I have not tested on any other build but can confirm that MMS works in WinMo.
So basically i am just asking if any have had issues with this and solved it? I got theese settings from Carphone Warehouse where i got my phone from...
Main Menu > Settings > Wireless & Networks > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names
The following is how the active APN should be configured to get MMS on a O2 contract
Name : o2 APN
APN : wap.o2.co.uk
Proxy : <Not set>
Port : <Not set>
Username : o2wap
Password : password
Server : <Not set>
MMSC : http://mmsc.mms.o2.co.uk:8002
MMS Proxy : 193.113.200.195
MMS Port : 8080
MMS Protocol : WAP 2.0
MCC : 234 MNC : 10
Authentication type : None
APN type : default,mms**
** note the comma but no spaces inbetween default, mms **
Now one thing i dont have is MMS Protocol: WAP 2.0 the option to put in is not there.
Hope someone can help

First make sure you pick a kernel suited for your build (compare the base of the build with the one of the kernel)
Instructions replacing the kernel:

To be honest, it took me 1,5 minutes to get to this link. Please try and search next time

I just got cotullas nand rom working on my phone but the only thing is that data is not working. ive tried resetting, airplane, new apn but it doesnt work. under wireless network it shows the mobile network option as stuck and trying to connect. ive left my phone over night to see if it was connecting to the internet at all. so has anyone gotten this error before and came up with a possible fix?
im on magldr 1.11, cotullas desire rom, i have a vbn rom before i flashed, radio 2.15, tmobile 1024 hd2 on tmobile us
