Here is the latest (at time of writing) XXJMF Modem / Baseband file (tested on my Euro Tab - flash with care). To be flashed via Odin / Heimdall.

This version is in the JMG ROM that's been available for a few days so people who have updated to JMG already have the JMF baseband version and don't need to make any changes.
This works with your MoDaCo Beta ROM?
Which section do I put the file under in the Heimdal GUI (OSX)?
Does this have the same WCDMA capabilities as the Bell I9000 modem (I9000UGJK3) that has served AT&T Tab users well?
If so, is it better?
Edit: I did some research and it seems that the Bell I9000 modem is not the only one that will work for AT&T Tab users (giving 850MHz UMTS along with the rest).

I loaded this radio--T959TLJL3, along with Roto-JMI-v1--and confirmed that it does work on 850MHz on an AT&T Tab.
Now my question is, what differentiates I9000UGJK3 from I9000UGJK4, T959TLJL3, and XXJMF? How can I tell what the differences are between these radio/baseband/modem versions for EDGE/3G/UMTS, WiFi, BT, GPS?

The i9000 and T959 radios are for other samsung galaxy s phones. The JM* is for samsung tabs. Since they have the same hardware they can be used on AT&T or T-mobile tabs respectively.

This question bothers me as well. I tried quite a few modem firmwares on my US Tmobile Tab and was not able to get 3G with none of them except original stock version.
We have to consider another variable: hardware version of the Tab. It seems that they don't support frequencies of competitive carrier. I had success with Tmo Vibrant. It works on both Tmobile and ATT 3G with proper Sim, of course. Same modem file that worked on Vibrant did not provide 3G on ATT meaning that either software stack or hardware not compatible.
To my knowledge the source code of phone software is not available for public and thus not much we can do about it.
mmmm, there is something strange in the way this tar is compressed,
if you try to unzip it using 7zip (i know there is NO need to unzip it but i do it as usual to check files integrity)it gives an error...
so I think it's better to stay away even if it works it may got some broken bit.
this is the error it gives:
"There i no correct record at the end of archive"
I tried downloading several times and end up with a tar around 500kb in size NOT 12Mb
Hope no one else tries flashing if it happens to them
can anyone who was able to get the entire 12Mb file, pls host it somwhere, as some people have posted, i was only able to download 1Mb file, even if it is zipped thats not going to inflate to 12Mb..
pls post if you were able to download the original 12Mb file.
Worked fine when I downloaded from the Tab lol

Hi Tabing,
I use the JK3 modem, packet data enabled, auto, and the wap.cingular APN.
The only other possibility is the type of sim card you have. If it is a data only plan, then the APN is "BROADBAND".
Hey RC how are you? Thanks for the follow up. Can I use JK3 modem with jk5 rom? Right now I have jk5 build with i9000jk3 modem but as soon as I hit wifi network To connect tab restarts. Tab also restarts itself after the tab's screen timeout reached. I flashed 2.3.3 rom before but bcos of wifi and network not connecting easily I now go back to 2.2. Do you think downgrading made the restarting problem. Also my sim is both voice and data enabled with att
Thanks priyana
I'm trying to get my S4 to LTE only mode so it will accept non whitelisted LTE networks. This used to be possible with an app called "ServiceMode Shortcut", but it seems this is no longer supported in the new rom.
Does any of you know how to get there in 4.4?

Flash ME2 modem mate then , set it up and reflash latest modem once again. Im on 4.4.2 and in order for me to activate HD voice i need to flash mk2 modem and go to dialer and dial those number ie: *#0011# in order to reach HD voice settings and reflash the latest modem
Thanks for the reply.
Does it still work in the GE rom? I don't mind installing that ... I really need it to be easily switchable. I use this phone in a work environment where I also do a lot testing on 2G, 3G and 4G networks. Otherwise I might just downgrade.

I got a G928G off monoprice and it seems to work fine, M update was waiting when I powered on and everything. We are switching to MetroPCS/T-Mobile but the problem is, we get 1 bar of LTE inside the house and can't make/receive calls. Wi-Fi calling would be the answer but it isn't available in the settings anywhere. I know MetroPCS offers Wi-Fi calling and through searching it appears it is available on other FWs for the GS6E+ but not the stock one for G928G. I would prefer to keep the stock FW but I'm OK w/ rooting if I can get this added. Guessing a new bootloader won't change this so I'm afraid I will need a new ROM but I would at least like it to be a stock Samsung one. Found something about "Aroma" here but not exactly sure how this works.
Can someone point me to one that will work on the G928G and includes Wi-Fi calling? (Also, any recommendations on the best process for rooting/flashing for Samsung would be appreciated - I have rooted a Note 3 in the past and some other devices but not flashed a custom ROM - is this procedure good if I find a stock ROM that supports Wi-Fi calling?
