How do you post downloadable .apk's and how do you post screen shots I know about the app shoot me but when I try to post it it comes up blank?

Sorry I don't quite understand... Are you trying to post .apk files and screen shots on the forums?
As far as .apk's/.zip's, you can attach them to posts, but there is a 8mb maximum size restriction. You'll have to host them somewhere and link to them if you want anything bigger.
For screenshots you take, you're gonna have to host them too, just like you would any other picture you wanna embed in a forum post here. The maximum attachment upload for most pics here is 640x640, so unless you size em down to this size, they'll have to be hosted.

Well basicly what I want to do is create a topic in apps section with some of the themes for cm7 I have. I have a bunch that I noticed havnt been posted then I wanted to post screen shot of what they look like. So are you saying that I can't just create a attachment that I have to put in links? Or maybe better yet why don't sombody walk me through how you would personally do this.

Like I said, if your .apk's or .zip's are under 8mb you can attach them directly to the post with the little attach button at the top of the new post box (next to the smilies). If your pictures are 640x640 or smaller you can post them directly on the post.
For files larger than this, you can host them with anything. I use dropbox to host my pictures and files.

This thread is meant to open peoples minds to knew layouts and new applications. With that said I'd like to try and keep some kind of order to the madness with a general layout that will be updated upon request via PM, please keep post related to the layout .
1. Pictures from left to right of your home screens. (screen captures preffered)
2. If you would like list applications do so next and list in order of screen left-right to keep confusion down.
3. If you have a QR code for that app by all means post it bellow the apps name.
I will update when I get off at 9:00 to show my layout, and please follow forum rules, and always, have fun and play nice

Dupe thread, we dont really need one placeholder, let alone two.
1st off,I class this as a development project/issue so if a moderator deems it not to be then move it to where you see fit.
Ok here we go....... this is an angry birds lock screen with sound that is included in the lewaos rom, I did manage to get the clock aligned to centre and get all birds visable with a custom wallpaper set for background but it was all messed up etc etc I've now spent as much time as my headache will allow lol trying to get this correct so I'm calling you out to make this work for our wildfire lewa. All images are in the zip and its a matter of editing the XML and resizing stuff I think but I've come to the end of my patience trying lol. If need be the zip is stored/located in system,media on the lewaos rom.
Really hope someone can and will attempt this.

Cheers had a play with it but still not there. Dont really understand how or what youve done because when i extract your file it contains all the res files that are not in the original so i tried 2 things.... 1. renamed your zip to lockscreen like the original, result was same as before so i tried 2. Placed the missing mp3 and main xml files into the ldpi drawable folder, renamed it face archived(rezipped) it to lockscreen placed into system, media result was all images really small but still in same alignment meaning not visable as i dont think youve altered the main xml x and y values etc etc which is where my headache began lol. Thanks anyway for efforts. If i need to do something i havnt then do let me know and i will test again.

I would give it a shot but by the time I download the LeWaOs to test it someone would already have it fully resized....

Cheers for interest vigi but i dont understand what that link does. I can already view and edit the main xml using esfile but i just cant get to grips with all the different values etc etc as each icon has a pressed state and unpressed state........ Blah blah blah. I think i will just give it up and leave it be. lol.

Had a look and try but as far as i can see it only resizes the imgs which is a start i think but it does nothing to the xml so the positions/alignment of imgs are still set at original format.
P.s moved to general!! Lol its gotta be apps and theme related at its best? Oh well suppose my cheekiness didnt go down too well ;-)

After Google I/O 2013 there were so many great features about Google+ I wanted to use more often but hardly any of my friends use G+. I was wondering if any of you guys had it and want to add each other so we can all use the new G+ a little more often. Pretty much all of my posts/shares/likes/etc pertain to tech/Google/Android anyway.

I don't see where you added me, maybe I don't know enough about G+ yet. But it's certainly got a better layout and more features than Facebook.

I just added you to my Circles, I guess it's like "liking" a FB page, where you don't get friend requests, just that your posts get shared to those following. Probably, haven't really used it too
I have to admit I prefer G+ over all other social media sites. There is just not enough of a user base in my real life circles and the people who are on it don't have a clue how to use it.

@Syn Ack - maybe it would be a good idea to set this thread up like the Sensation g+ has been done.
This will make it easier for everyone to add others rather than having to look through loads of pages just to add people.
Using the short URLs, as mentioned in the other threads OP, would be a good idea aswell rather than post massive links
