Tmobile hd2 and nand android - HD2 Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting and Genera

Hi there I hav recently purchase hd2 I just want to know whether all the band roms support tmous hd2 ?
Which is the fastest and less battery hog rom for hd2
Sent from my HTC HD2 using XDA App

i also use Tmo and have tried tons of other roms but the best ones as far as day to day use has been the roms made by Motoman,... currently i have using his Glacier rom < aka MyTouch 4G rom> and its amazing. great battery life and fast connection without any data drops. he also comes out with updates pretty regularly.

Really stable build
I use Phiremod SkinnyEvo on my TMobile HD2 and could not be happier with it. No lock ups or "sleep of death". I have used this version for a while. I am currently going on 14 days straight days without having to do a phone reset with this build, all I do is keep the battery charged up. Prior to this reset I got 28 straight days of use without a reset and then only had to restart because my 4 year old daughter pulled the back cover and battery while she was playing the bird/pig game. This build is rock solid stable.

can i install miui and other rom to my tmobile hd2 or there are only specific roms that can be install on tmous version

[Q] Removing Android

Ive had Android running on my HTC HD2 for about a week now and i like it..
but it just isnt stable enough for me, my phone wont respond for around 30-60 seconds when waking it up from being locked.. the battery life is around 6 hours, and the camera hardly works..
So i want to go back to windows, which ROM should I use? I want the best windows ROM possible, i have HTC HD2 with Orange (UK) I was looking for WinMo 7.
Also how can i back-up all my messages and contacts from android so that they will go back into WinMo. Thanks.
This one is my recommendation http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=591784
i need to flash the latest 4th Sept version myself.
Bear in mind Android is still in Beta stage and everything is not 100% yet, ive been using shubCRAFT 1.5 build and asides from a few issues to which ive all but got solutions for (people are generally helpful on here) it's far superior to any WINMO ive flashed, obviously the battery drain is still a hot topic of conversation and ongoing thing that the developers are working on.
It's been recomemnded to me to use http://www.dotfred.net/ to back up contacts so ill be giving this a go.

A big hi to all big hd2 fanatics of singapore,
I have decided to created a thread for singaporeans to discuss about their hd2 here. Feel free to post your screenshoots, your user experience about certain ROMs, radios etc.
If you ever encounter any problems with your hd2 or whatsoever, please feel free to post here and I will try my best to help u .
Recommended build as of 21/09/2010
Hyperdroid v 1.5 with 2.12.50 radio.
More information will be posted in the future.
pst!
good that there is help here..
I'm a singtel user running chucky rom radio 2.12.50. The reason that i posted here is to share my experience bout froyostone v2. The 3g is not working for us since the APN has problem. I have already tried the solution to what they posted but still no use. I ended up using froyostone v1 which is working for me best.
Running hyperdroid 1.5.
Seems most stable for Starhub data so far.

is froyostonev2 on ppp or rmnet?
I am recommending hyperdroid 1.5, its is the most stable build out there.
I have a very important question. . Anyone know which Radio got the best 3G reception in Singapore??
Using 2.12 atm, not the best i would say, no reception at all in the subway.
ya that is so annoying... i use 2.12 too. when i change to 2.11.50.26 i got SOD dammit. that one got good reception..
how is ur SOD? Is it delayed awake or a total hang on your phone?

I sent my BABY for servicing 1 time cuz the speaker no sound. Just the speaker no sound only.... it came back 5 days later.... Can you imagine going out without a phone for 5 days? I bet your phone at least a week. Very poor service de.
Apparently this is the problem many ppl is facing right, hopefully a build in the future will solve this.
im trying out the mattc evoleo build.... so far the lag to turn on the screen is much less! u all should give it a go!
Downgrade Radio
Hi,
I am downgrading my Radio from 2.12 to 2.10.50.02.2
Not too sure if that is the right thing to do.
Reason is because I have MaesusLeo rom & Energy Froyosensev2 rom on my SD card.. when In Android, I have some issue with making & receiving call,,, I can pick up my call, but they cannot hear me, I cannot hear them.. also, no ringtone, no alarm..
Regards
First batch of HD2 shipped here I think as I bought on launch date.

Radio_2_12_50_02_2
mattcfroyosense1.7ppp stock
Class 2 Sandisk 32GB microSDHC formatted using SD Formatter V2.9.0.5
Non-working and imperfections :
Notification LED (camera flash, charging and hardware buttons works)
Green streak in YouTube HD mode (I use internet flash for HD anyways)
Rare short two to three second freezes (wait or lock and unlock to unfreeze)
Comparisons to WM6.5Pro
Faster 3G/WIFI/SMS/MMS
Better phone signal
Better camera/video quality
Better battery life
Better applications/games
Better touch UI (bigger and more finger friendly portrait/landscape interfaces)
Slower lock on GPS signal (update QuickGPS in WM to improve speed)
Back speaker volume quite soft (WM have SRS hack so far non for HD2 andy)
I have tried ATKs/SUAuditors/SetCPU and what not from the market/appbrain/xdadev nothing works for battery life.
So I decided to uninstall all the utilities and guess what?
Battery life just improves day by day and I now have fullcharge versus sub 100% indication issues.
Well. This is just my take fellas.
I got something interesting want to share. I'm using Radio 2.12.50.02_2. Chuckydroid Rom. Mattevo. Normally I got very low signal in the subway. Today I disabled phone function under wireless manager in wm. Now in the subway I got full bar signal for 3g. Surfing the net the speed fast as if I stand at the top of the building.

TMOUS? Is it a problem?

I am hoping to buy a HTC HD2 Tmobile tomorrow and I was wondering what does TMOUS mean and will a run of the mill HD2 be able to run Android or do I need a unbranded version or something?
Thanks!
the tmo HD2 is better than EU version, it has 1024ROM
you will most likely need to HSPL, change radio and ROM. (winmo)
then pick your android ROM, HTCCLay has a rom on HD2 as well. you should like it.
just look around, and search you will find all the answers you need....
and thank you for posting this in general.
hey
tmous...is (t mo)bile...(us)
i have a tmobile hd2. I am now running the darkstone 3. Loaded it today. YOU NEED TO ENTER A CELL CARRIER for mobile data. APN is epic.tmobile.com. This one the flash is off on the camera, weird delay, but BT works, in car so far and headphones. Haven't tried the tethering and usb tethering.
i ran a darkstone 2.6 i think for two weeks. Locked up ALOT on 3g/edge changes and no power/charge led light. It would seriously lock up with changing towers. Also very very slow with satellites. You need a fair amount of software patches work around, and its only pretty good. Usb tether worked. Bluetooth worked for music/car and phone. Charge lights did not. Camera worked with flash. Still loved it, just the app choices alone make it the lock ups worth it in my opinion.
Just testing the darkstone 3, and seems fine. Rapid Location/gps/sattelites. Phone does not seem to hang or lock up with preliminary testing from 3g to edge. Will test it more tomorrow as i drive thru about multiple towers and will bt music to car, call someone, and text at same time. the 3g speed is much quicker than the 2.6 darkstone.
just check which android you are using. Its hard to find HTC sync to sync with outlook, but you can find it on the web.
Be warned....android changes contacts from last name first to first name last, and stuff......there will be major changes once you do change to android if you are seriously connected to outlook. But livable, taking time to adjust, android does not have all the categories and recurrances and stuff.
edit: yep i downloaded a stripped Winmo, and am running android off the sd card. Look for one with radio upgrade.

I was able with Tmobile HD2 and completely STOCK OS, Radio, and all that - to get most of the builds to work on it easily. I currently have FRG83 on it - scores over 1830 on Quadrant...

i think the correct apn is epc.tmobile.com although epic would be nice
i've been using android on my tmous hd2 for about 3 months, and it's incredible. i was ready to toss the hd2 before trying android. i've only tried the one android build, but since i havn't had ANY problems with it, i figured why change it over and over? i've never had any problems with constant freezes or anything, im happier than a pig in ****. i've only had to remove the battery because of a freeze up maybe 5 times since i've had it, with winmo i'd do that up to 5 times a day.
just read up and educate yourself about what you're doing. don't rush into flashing and etc if you have never done it. read everything posted about it in the stickies and you'll be a happy man.
i'm using:
schubcraft 1.5 android (only complaint is data drops for a min or two here or there)
core cell evo 3.0 windows rom (only winmo rom i've used, but i'd imagine it's one of the best, and it doesn't give me trouble with android like other builds)
radio 2.14.50
seriously, just read up on these forums, xda is an incredible place for our phones

Ordered my Blade/San Fransisco!

Hey,
Just ordered mine from Orange for £79.99 a bargain if you ask me!
Sorry to start yet another thread but I have a few questions!
Anyone unlocked this to 3?
Any major issues with it once rooted with CM7?
Does it have wifi hotspot option?
Can the CPU be clocked?
Anyone tried removing the Orange branding on the back?
Sent from my Desire HD using XDA Premium App
Anyone unlocked this to 3? "Yes"
Any major issues with it once rooted with CM7? "Best bet is to flash and try i'm still using 2.2 as don't find CM7 stable enough for everday use"
Does it have wifi hotspot option? "Yes on 2.2 is available and using now over 3 network"
Can the CPU be clocked? "Yes and running @ 690Mhz some people can go higher"
Anyone tried removing the Orange branding on the back? "Get an android sticker form ebay search android sticker will see the one as says covers SF"
Have fun with new device for the price there very good handset
Personally I've found CM7 almost ready for everyday use, few niggly bugs but try it out. Also if you need unlock code and guides to rooting check www.orangesanfrancisco.co.uk

Yes I have unlocked and using my wife's on a 3 contract. just use the ZTE Black Unlock APK really really easy
Any major issues with it once rooted with CM7?
No issues at all works great I would not recommend installing apps to the SD that comes with the phone as it seems to slow everything up. (We were use S2E from the market), oh only issue is the wifi wake issue but intstall Blade WiFi fix from the market and you will have no issues
Does it have wifi hotspot option?
Yes CM7 has this by default
Can the CPU be clocked?
Yes don't expect miracles, we managed 710mhz max stable what ever you do don't set it to boot at the speed until you are sure its stable as you will have to reinstall from a backup if you do
Anyone tried removing the Orange branding on the back?
No, to be honest you kind of forget its there, it does feel slightly raised I wouldn't risk trying to get it off
This is the really nice guide I followed to root and unlock the phone really easy
www.chrislowthian.co.uk/how-to-unlock-de-brand-and-root-the-zte-blade-orange-san-francisco/1824/
Ok done all the above, no problems at all, my blade does feel somewhat laggy though, not much diff to Orange branded OS, I didn't expect the smoothness of my DHD though, not sure if pumping my CPU to 750mhz and locking up the OS might have affected it? Rebooted back to normal but it just feels like its dying a slow death, how smooth is everyone else's? Cheers.
Sent from my Desire HD using XDA Premium App
Ruñning cm 7.0.0 stable release working great no problems
Sent from my Blade using XDA Premium App
I wouldn't go over 650MHz. Are you using Apps2Sd (EXT version) if so is your SD card a class 2 card? Mines smooth on CM7 with Live Wallpapers. Maybe it just feels slower since you're coming from a Desire HD?
Well One Problem With The "Stable" Release Is that it reboots when you charge it.
Also Make Sure You Have A GEN 1 phone or CM7 Will brick it unless you install the special rom addon
It won't brick it, just won't boot up. This is due to incorrect Lib files.
I am on CM 7.0 stable also. Everything works perfect, except when I charge it reboots 1 time and then is ok. For first 5 chargings or so it did not restart at all. Could be when I use GPS?
Today I decrease min frequency to 122 Mhz instead of 2xx. Should this extend my battery life?

hi, i got one stupid q: if i install custom rom /CM will i loose aftermarket warranty?
thanks.
If u modify your phone in anyway u void warranty but you can always revert to stock for warranty.

ok, i will consider it... i think i would wait month longer and if orange wont do anything so i will..

Can't see Orange doing an update to 2.2 christ they don't even sell screen protectors for the device still to which when the UK network distributor you'd expect.
Took mine out of the shop and within about 3 hours was rooted debranded 2 hours of that was foot up in pub

[Q] Switched from android HD2 and data is not working.

So here is my story,
Couple days ago I found this my touch 4g and decided to check it out. I'm a HD2 user for a long long time and I can say is one of the best phones out there, especially with the support that it gets from this forum. I'm running HyperDroid-GBX-v12 on my HD2, again for a long long time , and I have unlimited data plan, which has worked fine so far, since from the beginning when it was originally a windows phone but when I placed my sim into MT4g I can't get any Internet connection through t-mobile, wi-fi working fine, even though the connection icon "H" shows active.
My MT4g is rooted and I'm running " Virtuous Unity v1.29.0" , but I had the problem even when it was running stock.
Any help wil be appreciated, thank you in advance !
same exact problem. any help?
Call T-Mobile and they'll fix it, I think it has something to do with the hd2 being a windows phone and the mt4g is android from the get go.
