A buddy of mine bought a Samsung Focus. When we went over to his house one night, I logged into my Xbox Live account on his Focus. Now, he can't get my account off there. We figured out how to log off the account, but we can't figure out how to completely remove it. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.....
If I remember correctly, once the phone is set to the Live account, it cannot be deleted/changed. I had this problem because I wanted to switch my Windows Live to a new account, and it apparently will not let you. I had to do a hard reset on my phone to set it to the new account.
I hope Microsoft will fix this issue in the update too. It should be simple to allow users to switch their ID.

I got a Focus and a Zune Pass and I was curious as to how to download songs off the zune marketplace from my phone?
everytime I long press ANY song the download option is shaded out..
anyone know how to do that?
Are you logged into the phone as the Windows Live ID that owns the Zunepass? By that I mean the primary Windows Live ID on the phone. If you are it should work. If you're not, you have to factory reset the phone to change the Windows Live Id you are logged in with.

I'm pretty sure I am, my Xbox Live avatar is my normal one and my gamertag is the correct one (not playerxxxxx)
ok here's the weird bit though.
I think i tried changing the email associated with my live account. so my phone is logged into 1 email and when i log in using that same email, in the account settings it shows a different email account. but i can't log in with that email account...weird huh? so i have all of my live services working just fine, but it's all backwards too...
I had issues two days ago; when my Zune pass renewed. I had to connect my Focus to my PC and sync it with Zune. After that it worked again.
yeah that was it actually.
I went into zune and changed the email account so that the login and the email match up and it worked just fine

First off thank you for the prompt reply. I tried that website but everytime I time I try and have it send me a password reset email it doesn't pop up in my gmail. Also even more confusing is that it won't let me set up a new account. It keeps saying server error..
Any ideas? The fact that I can't get past this one screen is REALLY frustrating lol
I had a heck of a time setting up my wifes. Just kept trying and it finally went through.
Thanks all I got it working. It was my old motoblur account. For some reason I couldn't use it, and I couldn't set up a new account under the same email account either. They also wouldn't send the email to reset the password either..
So I just created a new account with a new email and it synced just fine
Ok, so today I was sitting in the library on campus minding my own business listening to music on my DVP and when I go to check something it randomly says something on the order of "Security settings have changed, make a new password"
My problem is I never had a password on the phone, never set it up to do so. Needless to say, it FORCED me to create a password and won't let me turn it off in the lock&wallpaper settings menu. I'll sync it when I get home to see if that fixes it, anyone else having a similar issue?
Do you have your phone set to sync with an Exchange account? As the administrator could have set it to now require a password on devices.
Thanks for the reply, I haven't ever had it synced to an exchange account. I really don't know what happened, also I noticed that instead of having the option to let my screen timeout be 3 minutes, etc... I only have the option for 30 seconds or 1 minute. No "slider" bar to allow me to turn off the password either. Really confusing.
Ok so I figured out why it's doing this, somehow my school's e-mail randomly decided my phone needed a password. As soon as I deleted this account I no longer needed the password. Really annoying I wonder if there's a way I can change this.

Your school email must be an Exchange account. Any email service that syncs over Exchange ActiveSyc is looked at as an Exchange Account by your phone. They get the power to do stuff like require passwords on the device.

yeah, an EDU mail account is back ended by exchange

Makes sense, Just weird how it hasn't done this for 3 months on my DVP and then all the sudden it decides to, never did that on my android for years either. I was messing with outlook the other day and maybe I triggered something? I don't know.
And my school uses Gmail btw.

Sorry, but I have to point out that not every EDU account equates to an Exchange back end. The two have no causal relationship whatsoever. Some schools do use Exchange, but many do not.

If your school uses GMail, they are actually using a variety on Google's corporate email hosting, which now supports policy push to Windows Mobile (and other, including Android, devices). It would seem they turned it on recently, or are testing it out, and you got hit with a policy.
Yesterday I changed my google password.
Today I decided to reset my phone (Nexus 6P - Stock), but when I try to log in it's giving me this error:
The device was reset. To continue, sign in with a Google Account that was previously synced on this device.
- I am using the same sign in and same google account.
- I read that after a 72 hour wait, the device will eventually log in with my account. Is this correct?
- Is there any other althernative? I would like to use the device now.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Are you the first owner of the phone? Did you try the new or old password? That's odd that it's not letting you in if you were the only Gmail account ever synced with it.

yes & yes, still no way around it
Hi guys, so I wanted to sell this tablet and I thought it would be easier to just Hard Reset it and then go by the usual initial configuration. The thing is, my account it's not working.
The tablet has my little girl's account and it was family linked to mine, but none of the two accounts does it.
I've tried some tutorials to bypass this but they just doesn't work, *#0#* doesn't show anything, I can't install APK's even with SmartSwitch, Configurations just random says "Stopped Working" and so on.
Did someone ever encounter something like this? I done the FRP thing once when my mom forgot her account password but it was pretty easy.
Cheers!

Sorry, but FRP is no longer "easy to bypass". If the google account is one of a family account, you might be able to use the password manager in Chrome to find the account login and password.
Yeah, I tried with both of the accounts but none works pretty weird situation
