New vibrate patterns?

Is there any way of changing the vibrate patterns? Particularly, so there is a different one between recieveing an SMS and a phone call.
Cheers
See: http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=BA_Hacks
Under "Phone Settings"
You'll find information there on how to change the ring/vibrate/LED behavior for incoming calls.
I don't think you can (easily) change the behavior of the vibrate option for Notifications - which is what an incoming SMS generates.
I'm trying to figure out a way to have the ringtone continuously play, but have a different vibrate pattern. I did "apv1w1v1w2r" but it has to play the whole ringtone before it vibrates. Any suggestions?

Notification problem

Hi,
I luv my legend, but I have some very strange bugs.
- SMS does not vibrate in vibration mode
- call waiting does not alert so I never hear in coming call when in a conversation
- problems with call notification, it does not ring sometimes, even when in normal ring mode
Any idea guys?
BR
for sms, in settings keep vibrate checked, then install sound manager and control vibrate mode from there, it'll work again. From the app under vibrate settings you can then also create a shortcut to vibrate settings so you can directly access it without having to open the app

Do you get vibration from other things ? e.g. if you turn the ringer volume down until the phone is in vibrate mode, does it vibrate when you press the volume down button then ?
What ROM are you running ?
I had the same problem when I installed Handcent SMS (I suppose conflict between stock sms app and handcent)
try "Sound Manager" on the market.
Run it and go to "vibrate settings" you will be able to activate the vibration to your sms app again
So Guys,
I found the solution. Sound Manager is practicable but it doesnt helped.
After change of a few settings, I found the solution.
You must go to "Messeges" (Nachrichten) -> Menue -> Settings and check "vibration". The checkbox in "general settings" doesnt help, only the checkbox in "messeges". I hope, that can help other to solve the problem.

Vibrate when I get a notification won't work!

Hi guys, I recently rooted my HTC Wildfire and flashed Cyanogenmod-7.1.0.1-buzz and everything went fine until my friend sent me a text and the phone didn't vibrate when I got a notification. The system vibrate is on and the "Vibrate when receiving a notification" box is check in both messaging and in Go SMS Pro.
Can anyone help? Anything will be much appreciated
Check this post and make sure both are enabled:

Check whether you are in silent profile...
Goto Settings -> Profiles
thanks for all the help, I have fixed it by installing Sound manager and going menu > vibrate settings > and checking vibrate whenever possible under notifications

[Q] Separate vibration for ring from vibration on notification

Based on some searching this appears to be a JB-wide problem related to the way google linked ring volume & notification volume. Has anyone found a solution to this?
Basically, I want the phone to:
-vibrate when I receive a call
-NOT vibrate, but give me a notification, when I get an email or text
Any thoughts?
edit: wrong forum, sorry
