Would bell atrix would have same problem as At&t? Is it network problem or phone problem? Is anyone getting it when it comes to bell?
Sent from my X10i using XDA App
It will be good on bell since they're not limited in terms of their speed, they have the hspda+ so you should be good to go. I'm thinking about switching from Rogers to bell to get the Atrix but might just get the Atrix outright later on as long as it gets the 2.3 update.
I hope the bell atrix is not branded.

You can always get a different battery cover.
I'm getting it when it comes out with Bell. March 17th is the only leaked date so far, hopefully it will hold (they're already teasing the Atrix officially on their website - "coming soon"). One thing I'm pretty sure of is that Bell will NOT block app installs from outside the market (unlike ATT). Not a huge problem anyway with the root. And I'm not too worried about limiting speeds, it's not the same situation as ATT. There's nothing that came out in the forums so far to keep me away from this beast, the biggest issues have been ATT-related (or user-related, such as the music player that stops playing... uh, how bout turning off auto-kill...), and the so-so camera.

Let's look. Hmmm. Nope.
The only way they might be able to make it up to most of us is by going straight to Gingerbread or by offering every Vibrant 3g owner a more than 1/2 percent discount on the new Vibrant 4g with the return of the current Vibrant 3g.
My biggest issue with Samsung is the lack of being straight forward/direct with us. Every question they've been asked about the update or rumors about our Vibrant being able to utilize 4g speeds Samsung won't even say yes or even deny it. It definitely makes me wonder. Its sad cause they definitely make great hardware (minus the gps issue). They probably hesitant on releasing Froyo 2.2 because the release of Froyo will prove that the gps issue is hardware based.
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
So what is holding the update sammyy?
Btw samsung don't make promises it will look bad if you don't keep ur promises you know...like the promise you made months ago? About froyo update? I guess soon means 6months to you, sammy.

It's just an AT&T thing
I just downloaded OTA 2.2.2 on BEll.
What is sideloading?
Sideloading was never disabled on bell.
We also get no extra charge tethering. Now if the updates were faster coming, I would be really happy

No, the OP is either trolling or is seriously confused.
FOR THE TIME BEING GALAXY NEXUS IS A VERIZON EXCLUSIVE. PERIOD END OF STORY, NO IFS AND OR BUTS ABOUT IT.
I REALLY wish people would stop purposefully posting false/misleading information. It REALLY hurts these forums.
geek.com has the article that says the nexus is not exclusive to Verizon per Verizon itself

Google wouldn't release a cdma/lte phone(takes much longer time and different parts.. just take a look at wimax nexus s) first unless Verizon paid a ton of dough for exclusiveness. The hspa+ version is being released soon in the UK, so at the very least, it will be for tmobile unlocked. I bet it will go farther and subsidized too. Isn't the Verizon one just strong speculation too(given they have the moto razr)? FCC report has one confirmed with tmo bands as well. Probably not gonna be 42mbps though.

NO the Verizon exclusivity for the time being is NOT speculation. It was confirmed on Samsung's Facebook by "Samsung Janel" last week, or maybe it was the week prior.
She confirmed for the time being Galaxy Nexus is a Verizon exclusive. How much more proof do you guys want? It came straight from Samsung.

Exclusive in the US, for now. It will be released in Europe around the same time Verizon gets it, so you will be able to import it if you want, but I would guess it will be on the other US carriers. Maybe Verizon gets a month, maybe three but if Google wants to sell this phone they wont leave it on Verizon for too long. I personally will wait and see but not too long, I will just import it if I have to.

I have a feeling that many of us vibrant users will want to import an intl version that will work with t-mo.. but I haven't been able to find the verified hardware specs for the UK version yet. Intl phones always seem to get better and faster updates, so as a google phone I imagine it would be even better.
I wonder if we could do a group-buy type thing if enough here were willing to import?
It may not release officially from Tmobile but it has their hspa+ bands, so u could easily buy it unlocked and use it for Tmobile, which is what I'm definitely doing and can't frickin wait!

I thought it only has the slower edge bands?!? If the 4g bands were supported I'd consider an import at the right price.
Verizon increases data cap to 4GB!!!!!
Nexus on Verizon 4G LTE with 4GB data cap should work out well.
so i love my xperia play, came from the droid eris (loved the devs and all the roms)
so WHY CAN"T VERIZON UPDATE TO 2.3.4!!!???!
i just want 720p (even if its fake) video record...and better battery life...
other than verizon, love the phone, its all that i hoped it could be!
Most updates from Big Red typically take longer than their foreign/GSM counterparts, and for this reason I no longer wait/anticipate updates because it's only a matter of time before we see anything.
Why it takes so long I can only imagine. Either SE has to load additional bloatware via Red's request or they have to install the mind-altering code which sends brain control signals via WiFi/Blutooth.
I'm pretty sure this will also hold true with ICS starts rolling out for the Play.
i know, i'm trying not to think how long it will be before we see ICS, but right now it would make me happy to get one update
i've heard (looking through vzw forums) that verizon made it part of the deal with SE to own and push the updates, thats why we are the only ones with a stock looking gingerbread...
in anycase, i'm more than happy with the phone
Why not just get wontanserver and look if there is a 2.3.4 for your phone? I didnt wait for my carrier, you shouldnt either.
has anyone done this with verizon? still get txt/mms and call service?

So far I am loving this phone. Every aspect of the device is an upgrade. I purchased it through MobiCity on Amazon. I live in the US and have ATT service. I understand that this version will not do LTE, and having LTE in the past i wasn't that impressed with it, due to the fact it hogs the battery and with data plans like they are hspa+ does great.
I havent gotten my new sim card yet but i was curious to know what the reception and data speeds would be like If anyone else has ATT with this model. The firmware version is XXALIE.

I'm right here on the fence whether to buy or not from the sellers at Amazon or not. I always prefer to buy directly from Amazon or the OEM (Samsung). But the launch date is so freaking away from now, I can't wait...
You have guts tho son, you bought from the seller that just launched:
click me for list of Amazon Sellers selling the Grey version
I want the white one, it's on amazon as well for 20 bucks more - I hear finger prints and smudges are less noticeable on the white one. I have an iphone as well so I already have the micro sim. You don't need a new SIM, you can cut yours out if you want. Them regular cell stores should have the SIM cutters that can cut out yours to the propper measurements; that's what I did, never did contacted my carrier for a new SIM.

Grats and enjoy it! I thought about jumping on the UK version, but I myself have a hard time justifying such a large purchase without LTE. I am on Sprint but will be making the switch to ATT once the phone releases to get on thier HSPA+/LTE since I am in St. Louis and that's one of their most supplied networks.

I too live in the St.Louis area. The LTE is smokin fast..but so is the 4g and not having any Carrier branding was a deciding factor. Im enjoying it thats for sure. Like a kid with his favorite new toy. Lol! I also got 50gb for 2 years from dropbox 8)

So did AT&T's Hspa+ speeds kick in right away....or did you have to fanagle with the carrier /apns to get it. The carrier system didnt recognize my Note1 as a Hspa+ smartphone and I had crap speeds initially, I had to adopt the imei of one of their devices to access those speeds.

AwseSOME! Thanks
Very nice. I am waiting to get it with LTE. Being able to have a device that is able to get the latest and greatest data speeds is nice. Especially because cities are getting it all the time. Plus, I would rather have it and not need it than not be able to ever get it.
