I ordered my Atrix yesterday evening and I selected the Express shipping which states from the email that the estimated arrival is either Monday or Tuesday, no big deal there. I just want to make sure I'm at home when it comes.
I live in Wisconsin right near the Illinois border and if my mind serves me correctly, when I ordered my Nexus S, I had it in like 2 days. In fact it came from Illinois. But I ordered it on a Monday and had it delivered that Wednesday.
This is my first time ordering something on a Friday from Bestbuy. So I'm just wondering if anyone else ordered a phone through bestbuy before on a Friday, when was it actually shipped out?
I called Bestbuy and they said that it's at the stage that it's waiting to be picked up by UPS. I know UPS don't always deliver on Saturdays but do they at least pick up? Because I'm thinking that if they pick up today, I'll probably have my phone Monday.
Ah, BestBuy is nothing special. AFAIK UPS does NO BUSINESS ON WEEKENDS except for the early Saturday morning deliveries ($$).
If you need Saturday shipping on an order, I think the only option is USPS and then only if someone from the merchant is able to post them. (A lot fo USPS locations close at noon on Saturday.) USPS does offer Express Mail, but it ain't cheap. They do pickup and deliver Express Mail when the couriers don't do anything though.
If it was ordered EARLY on a Friday, it might have shipped Friday evening. BB probably has a cut-off time for shipments, and if it shipped UPS, you should be able to get a tracking number that give you the predicted delivery date. AFTER UPS actually has picked it up, which might not be until Monday late evening.
Again, IF it is UPS, you can also contact UPS for "hold at terminal" and they'll hold it at the depot so you can pick it up at your convenience. If "express" means Fedex Ground, the old RPS team...good luck with that.

Sorry if this has been asked but the fedex website and the google ordering site did not seem to speak the same language.
I was wondering if anyone ordered their phone and had it delivered to their home on a saturday and what time? I ask because I really want to order this as soon as I get paid friday morning but pending on when it gets delivered (including time) I may have to have it send to my office so I'd not get it til tuesday.

nope, no deliveries on saturdays. I was extremely disappointed also.
you CAN get Saturday delivery, but you have to pay for it up front.

I don't know if it's regional or not, but Sat delivery was not available for me. (It was a long weekend...)
FedEx Home does do fre Sat delivery, however, Google is shipping FedEx (express). I think Sat delivery is $15 extra, at least thats what the FedEx lady told me when I asked why they couldn't get me my package at the fedex office at 4pm on this last Sat. (it was still in the crate from the flight).
Looks like I'll be waiting till Tuesday.. Oh well, my G1 will have to suffice till then..

The distribution centre is in Northeast Indianapolis and the Courier is DHL. Might take two days depending on when you place your order in the day with Google and when that is relayed to their distribution centre. That lag took a day for me.
I live in California as well, I ordered mine a thursday morning at 7 or 8am and it came on friday. I dont know if fedex next day delivers on saturdays. On fedex's tracking for next day it say it'll be at your place by 3pm. This was my experiance. Hope this helps.
i see that the free overnight shipping is from fedex. is that just a limited time thing or has that been going on for a while now. also all the shipping options says fedex, how come some people get it from dhl

from the beginning. fedex folks were very nice, and tried a second time to deliever mine after i missed the first delivery (same day).
the clerks at the local office actually called the route driver to confirm his location, and if i wanted to meet him along his route. these folks do more than neccesary. fer sher.

My order was shipped 11/16/12 (Friday) and I wont receive it until after business hours today 11/20/12 (I never get UPS deliveries prior to 6PM at my residence). I paid for 2nd day air, and my understanding is that it should arrive by end of second business day, Which would be 11/19/12 (Monday) before 5PM, I wont get it until at best 6PM 11/20/12 which would mean the next business day would be 11/21/12 (since business day runs through 5PM), effectively making it 4 business days from when it was shipped.
This is why I hate UPS, had it been shipped Fedex Home Delivery I would have had it Saturday and would have paid less. I know this isn't really Google's fault, but since I paid them for delivery and they paid UPS I assume I would have to talk to them.
Lastly I think the "2nd Day Air" title is a little misleading, looking at the times it was on a plane from KY to PA, but after that it appears to have been trucked from PA to NH, if I receive something via Air FedEx it comes into NH via Air.

Business days to UPS for residential deliveries means, 'END OF THE DAY'. So your 5pm argument isn't really valid. And two day shipping isn't 'the end of the second business day' that would be overnight shipping.
My order shipped Friday and arrived Monday. Technically, if you take out the weekends, that would be overnight. So 2-Day Air is Friday, Monday, Tuesday arrival time. You should get your package Tuesday and it would be two-day shipping.

I see your point, I guess UPS really reaches on their definitions. I mostly deal with Fedex and had it been in transit on Friday I would have had it by 11AM Monday at the latest. With Fedex I can drop off Saturday before noon and have it get there Monday using next day, and if we only count business days that would actually be same day.

yea, UPS stinks.
Hey guys, so I just ordered a 64gb sandstone black 1+one yesterday, and there was no mention anywhere about shipping time etc. There was also no longer the option for Express Shipping, just Standard Shipping.
It said will take 3-5 days to process the order then ship, but no general ETA.
So those who have ordered and gotten their phone, do comment and mention how long it took from placing your order till your actually got it, including the shipping method used!

I ordered mine early on a Wednesday morning and received it the following Monday. The OnePlus site is slow to update with tracking info and the shipping emails come late too. I think I got my shipping email on Saturday and the phone was already in PA. It shipped from CA too. This is my second OPO and the first one was about the same shipping time.
I live on the East Coast. I ordered on a Monday afternoon, it shipped Tuesday from a warehouse in Rosemead, CA via USPS Priority Mail, and it arrived on Thursday. Needless to say, I was very pleased!

I placed my order on a Saturday, processed & shipped on a Tuesday and received on a Thursday. nmine came west coast to east coast btw as well.
So I'm thinking Its safe to say, it takes about a week from placement of order to receiving the phone in hand...?

It typically takes about 2 business days to process and it's shipped 2 day usps (unless you live in California and it's 1 day) and now requires a signature. So if there's a weekend in there, then yes it takes about a week from ordering to arriving. You'll only recieve an email after you order and when after its shipped.

I ordered mine last Saturday it went out late Tuesday and I got the phone yesterday. So if you cont the day that I ordered and received total 6 days. Also I had USPS 2 day shipping.
Ordered on Friday, got it Thursday.
Also ordered another one on a Wednesday, got it on a Saturday (USPS).
in both instances, when they ship, it's was via USPS, 2-day priority.
The "Processing" time is what kills it.
I'm in the Los Angeles area. Got my invite on Thursday am. Placed order Thursday am, standard shipping. Friday am got shipping confirmation. Saturday am, the first time info showed up on the tracking number, showed that my package was in Ontario Ca. Saturday pm, arrived at USPS sorting facility in Fontana CA. Sunday am, arrived at Goleta, Ca station. Monday am, out for delivery.

I selected Express and it cost me £9.99. I ordered it today so hopefully it comes sometime next week!
I just placed my order yesterday and I live in Canada. There was only express shipping option which was 27.99USD. The duties, taxes, and exchange rate are going to kill me. Thought about shipping to a mailbox in the US and picking it up there and noticed there was only regular shopping option for 14.99USD. Ended up shipping to Canada. Didn't want to risk it getting lost or stolen.

I used the link from my order confirmation email - it just updated but still not sure on shipping speed... It says UPS Ground 1
Same. UPS Ground 1. I just checked my order online, no email.
I don't have a link on my order receipt, but when I clicked around on the VZW site I finally found something that said my order was sent to warehouse for shipment. No other info as yet...
That usually means it's ready to ship awaiting pickup by the carrier. UPS will probably update the shipping details tonight once they have it in their possession.
My page finally updated with Shipper and tracking. The page says 1Z4 is the shipper and the tracking number won't work for USPS, UPS, or FedEx. But my guess is that it is all just been entered and will get "fixed" when it actually gets picked by UPS.
I got the tracking number my phone should here tomorrow.

Mine shipped today via FedEx. Delivery is for tomorrow AM, but I'm an Enterprise customer...I get all the phones, and they always ship to me a day or 2 before they release in stores. Gotta love that.

Make sure you sign all the documents if you doing payment Installments as they may forget to send it to you. It happened to me but I act quickly

I'm a business enterprise customer too but I only preordered the G6 at 9am CST this morning. I don't have any other updates and my order status link in the confirmation email always gives me an error message. Not good news ? oh well
Sitting at UPS in my town waiting for Verizon to "upload" something to UPS so they can deliver it, according to UPS. No early pickup either so it looks like Verizon is going to hold off on letting these be delivered until 3/30. Of course they are, that's what Verizon does
