Hello, I just got my unlocked Aria from eBay and when I try to listen music through my headphones it doesn't work. I have tried on my computer and they work just fine. Also the speakers are working just fine. The only way that I can get it to work is by reset the device or turn on the FM radio. I'm using the stock version from att 2.1, with sense. This is getting annoying, please help.
Pd. Sorry for the english.

I've also got a similar issue with the headphone jack.. sometimes, it just won't work.
A soft reset fixes the problem, but it's kinda annoying because the phone takes a while to boot and load everything up!~
It's strange, because upon plugging in the earphones, it automatically "Plays" music without me having to press play.

I have something similiar here:
1. If I connect my headphones before loading the Music app, I get audio from both my headphones, and the internal speakers. No headphone icon is displayed. To fix this, I need to unplug the headphones as I am playing the audio, and then plug it back in. A headphone icon is displayed. Only then does the audio stop from the internal speakers and only output from the headphones.
2. If at some stage I decide to stop listening to music, I pause the playback, and exit the music app. The headphone icon is still there mind you. I then unplug my headphones and launch another app that plays audio. There is no audio from the internal speakers, and I need to plug in my headphones and then unplug them before the internal speakers work. At this point the headphone icon disappears.
Maybe this will be fixed in 31... whenever that comes out...
i think the notification bar sync with the system abit slow....
if u all notice when u charge...also happen like that....example
when u charge at 20%...u go look again about 20 minute later...
if the screen is locked...u will find the battery still 20%....about 6-7 minute
u look back maybe it already up to 45%....i think it is about the system idle...
still can live with it...
works fine in 144.07
Ok guys I need some help with this. I plugged my phone to my external jack to listen to my music through my radio, but after an hour of music I unplugged it from my phone and headphone icon on the status bar will not go off. It thinks that I still have it plugged in. I did a battery pull also with no result. I then go to the music to listen to music through speaker but no sound either. It still thinks I'm plugged in. Im also experiencing no ringtone sound when somebody calls me. The only way a caller can hear me is by bluetooth and by speaker phone. I even restored stock 602gb to see if it helps, but no luck either. Please help!! I also noticed when I connect my headphones it goes directly to the stock music app. I even did a factory reset, no go either

Sounds like something is either still in there, or a connector is bent and touching another. Use a flashlight to inspect the jack. If there is no sign of inadvertent contact from damage, try blowing out the jack with the power off. I recommend using an aerosol dust remover(canned air, to some) as it is much less likely to damage your jack than blowing it out yourself.

Hi everyone
This just happened half an hour ago out of the blue. I was listening to some music and suddenly it started hissing and popping. I have iBeats headphones which I just bought yesterday. Now all the time when I use my phone to play music I get this interference.
I am on the 2.5 stock ROM. If it doesnt happen immediately once I plug the headphones in it starts immediately when I start to play something. Then it doesnt go away even when I pause it.
This issue doesnt happen on my computer with the same exact headphones so I'm guessing somethings gone wrong with the port?
EDIT: It doesnt happen if I take the plug out ever so slightly. It only happens if I plug it in all the way.
Beats always gives static for me I have beats tour...also for your issue try with another pair of earphones to be sure the problem is with your phone

It just started happening to me the other day. I'm using the stock headphones, and first noticed when I called a friend, apparently the microphone was causing her even worse noise.
I think it may just be a hair or something stuck in the bottom of the port as I can see something, but can't seem to get it out...
I just tried the headphones with another phone and the problem is still there. Does this mean it is the headphones at fault? I only just got them yesterday!
Checked again and it still doesnt happen on the computer...
EDIT: The problem seems to have gone. All by itself...but I will remain vigilant lol
I got the same thing especially when the phone is connected with the usb.
I think it was a bit of a reaction to static electricity. When I put on my anti-static wrist strap the problem disappeared. I dont think these headphones are electromagnetically shielded.
I just opened my new Nexus 7 earlier today, and haven't modified it in any way. For some reason, while I am watching a movie, I try to plug in my headphones, and the audio continues to play through the speakers. Anyone else have this issue or a possible solution?
Noticed that too, in any video player. Really wierd and is a real problem.

My headphone port is defective :-( I have to wiggle the headphone jack to get it to work and if I move it in any way it stops working.
From my long awaited and totally worth it EVO LTE!
Similar issue appeared today when I plugged my headphones into the port. i have to hold the cable a specific way for SOME of the audio to come through the headset. i've tried a few pairs of headphones too.
