Unable to register at ppcgeeks

Is registration broken or am I an idiot?
I have tried with different browsers, different machines and on different days and the registration screen continue to error off...

...which is bull**** because after the first time I have been very careful.

This has been an ongoing issue for at least a few days. I tried to register a few days ago and the image capture isn't working. Can't email them about it bc that requires a recaptcha too. It's sad that they aren't on top of this by now.

That site is nothing compared to XDA anyways. Im sure there are much more people with Evo's on this forum, than that one. I remember when the Pre came out and most the people there freaked out... "This is PPCGeeks... Not mobile phone geeks." And now the PPC is dead. Ask anyone with an HD2, ha ha ha!

The registration should be fixed. I had to disable reCAPTCHA...for some reason it broke.
Re: The Evo...we have quite a few users that migrated to the Evo and still use PPCGeeks. We were known as a WM forum, just like XDA, but both sites have adopted Android and are continuing to grow.

I had that happen at another site...
What you can do then is send a e-mail with the issue to
[email protected]
[email protected]
[email protected]
[email protected]
and a couple others. Chances are at least one of those is set up, and most sites have a blanket so any [email protected] goes to their inbox.

Yeah, we have [email protected] setup.
Also, it seemed to only effect a few people, so it might have been related to reCAPTCHA. The first report we got was from 6/8/10, then we never got any others until yesterday, however, we had other people successfully register during that time too.
So if its still an issue, let me know, but I changed the CAPTCHA engine and I was able to successfully register an account.

Ah PPCgeeks. Used to be my hangout back in the days of the Apache and Mogul. Glad to see you guys are still kickin

App Inventor: It begins!

just got my confirmation from google, app inventor is up and running! i think it would be a good idea to maybe get a thread goin for everything app inventor/a help page for using it. just a thought

Wrong... but nice try.
I simply was logged into my Google account and went to the app inventor page there was a my projects link on the top. I clicked it, I was able to access app inventor. As a word of caution make sure you have the app inventor extras installed prior to trying to use the blocks, it can / will be kind of screwy if you don't.

Now we'll need a new section on XDA..

lolz. has anyone actually successfully made an app using this?

Made the tutorial hellopurr app in about 5 minutes...the install was about 4mb though

I'm able to log in with out an invite too. Cool!

I've made some little things with it.
I need it to be able to parse RSS, or at least XML, before I'm able to implement any of my actual wanted-app ideas with it, though.

I don't know, I think it does have SOME potential. Believe it or not, there are people like me out there with VERY limited java experience that have some neat app ideas. I'm looking forward to seeing what I can do with the inventor.
I do agree that everybody and their mother will probably be making the stupid "click the cat to hear a purr" app knockoff .
There should be a marketplace filter for app inventor apps so you know what you're signing up for haha

I tried it for giggles, nothing for me. I guess I'll have to wait to make those fart machines.

Yesterday (on 10th Feb. 2011) I've tried to order Adam from store.notionink.com, but after i had fullfilled all the forms needed and started the transaction (and it has proceeded successfully i guess) i got the "404 page not found error". I've checked my credit balance, 599.99$ gone as it should be, but the status of my order (at store.notionink.com) is still "NOT PAID".(almost 24 hours passed)
Does anyone have any thoughts ?

Write them, they´ll manualy fix it to reflect your pament status properly.

It doesn't make much sense asking for invites anymore. If you go to the blog on NI website and register there, you should receive an incite to pre order from tomorrow onwards.

Can anyone PLEASE invite me ? I need an invite for a University project we are working on.
I had an invite but when I clicked on it it says this:

They don't take new people anymore. Even if you get invited, no new registration are allowed. We all have to wait until they let new people in.

com.sec.android.app billing (version2.00.21) with no specific icon (android icon)
it has permision to know when ther is a phone call
automatic launch on start up, reads incomiung messages with maybe extra cost,id ,wi fi is it turned of or on.
is this spyware ? i only can uninstall. it has 1.2 mb

yes.. I should predict difficulties in reading with understanding.... OK, more simple version:
write the name of process in Googe.com (there is a search bar on the page), and then point your mouse on the button: "SEARCH", and pressright button on your mouse.
If you still would have difficulties in understanding, ask someone adult....

Good Question.. I just Uninstalled it using Root Uninstaller and now i can't do any payment on installed apps, because it crashes and error pop-up saying theres no billing system
So in my thought I think that is the primary universal payment app for samsung phones.
