Hey guys,
I noticed that the Atrix has settings under battery options to terminate the data connection after 15 minutes minimum. On my Tilt2 I was able to use a program that killed it after 1 minute. Is there any way to do this on Atrix Android? My battery is suffering here. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My question is: how can i have the data connections closed after they idle for more the 30 sec?
I'd love to still be able to have a good sync with my exchange server but not have the connection idle for 2-3 h... (btw does it consume more battery if is still connected but idle?)

Hope you can assist. My HTC Touch Dual keeps establishing Data connections via GPRS despite my clearly stating it should only do so manually.
Sometimes the connections remain active for hours. My bill last month almost gave me a heart attack
I have the Manila 2D on it, but i'm not sure how i checked the version, can someone advise? If its at all necessary for you to help.....
I have added an entry into the phones registry to tell it to disconnect data connections after 30 secs. It could care less that i've done that, coz i've just checked there's a connection established for the past 2 hours!!!! I have not once pressed the sync or send/receive buttons manually, so dont know why its doing this .

Hi Everyone...I am having a HTC HD, on WM6.5. I have activated hotmail/live and gmail push email on my HD.
My data connection is on automatically everytime it needs to sync for new emails, but it will not switch off by itself after sync and even when it is idle again.
Anyone could point me any software to have this data connection switch off after idle for a period of time? I read in the HTC pro section that someone mentioned about issues with answering calls with the programs installed to disconnect data after sometime when phone is idle. Will this happen to HD as well?
My battery is running off quickly when data connection is on, would really appreciate if anyone could help me to solve this.

Hi guys, I've tried searching but couldn't get more info about it. I'm experiencing very bad battery life ~down 30% overnight without doing anything. Data is set to once every 4 hours. I was wondering, is there an option for auto disconnect for data? I've tried flashing a few different radios, as well as applying the registry tweak during each charge. Are there others out there who have similar problems? Thanks!
If your looking for more battery life you should try a different Radio, but mind you your internet and data will be slower. Search around the threads there's a radio that gives more battery life but less speed for internet.

There's no auto disconnect for data on wp7, but you can just switch it off at night or when ever. Settings/mobile network/data connection.
u need a custom rom which uses "set autodata"?

Hi - I find that switching off the data connection causes issues when I switch it back in...i.e. that it doesnt actually reconnect and email accounts, etc say that there's not an active data connection
(also, apps don't toggle the data connection on if it's off, which is annoying)
any ideas?

Hello everyone, and thank you for reading.
I've had an issue since I've bought this phone and after looking around and trying a few different things I now turn to you for help as my last resort.
The problem is that the phone keeps disconnecting from the internet. I don't use a data plan so i only use the internet and all the related apps when i am connected to a WiFi network (Home or other). But what happens is that I'm connected one minute and sending and receiving messages on Facebook messenger or even whatsapp and the next minute it just drops the connection. I have to actually go into wireless settings every time and hit connect for it to reconnect, and it keeps doing this over and over.
I figured that maybe if i got the updates (following this technique: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1rEt6wPZDnA) for it that would fix it, but apparently it didn't do anything. I currently have windows 7.8 installed successfully with all the other updates that were found.
If there's anything you could do to help me i would greatly appreciate it.
