This was originally a request to get the HC gmail apk working on Froyo. However...
Found that Google quietly updated the web gMail to show the iPad two pane version when using Dolphin. Pull to refresh, two pane, almost good enough to not need the HC version below I had gotten it to work before using the iPad's UA string, but it didn't work well. It appears that the code is now optimized for Android! Sweet (like frozen yogurt sweet)!

Let's get this on #MyStreak
http://twitter.com/#!/GoogleMobile/status/40819021414666240
Looking for an apk. Surely it works with the 2.2 Froyo codebase (one can dream)?
[REQUEST] Honeycomb Gmail
Looks quite nice:
Kind of unrelated, but this post has a Mail'd app from the Adam (but I doubt that it works). Any guinea pigs want to try it out?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=928832
And of course there is the Galaxy Tab email client (which I have on #MyStreak, thank you DJ_Steve)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=905659
Edit: TabMail gave a "connection error" after a couple hours syncing Exchange (switching wifi ap maybe?) So back to stock Email.apk
Well... there was a system dump from the Xoom that would have been promising to play around with, but content was pulled due to DMCA... BOOOO!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=966767
But, on a more related note, here is an edited 2.3.2 Gmail app that has been edited to always "Show Pictures"
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=847035
updated OP because Google released optimized code for "iPad" layout when connecting to gmail.com using Dolphin.

Just realised there's not much info floating around here about the awesome Remember The Milk task syncing app - I consider it a "must have" app for all my devices.
http://www.rememberthemilk.com/services/milksync/windowsmobile/
Basically it syncs your device task list with their online website, allowing you to keep track of things you need to do from any PC anywhere. The actual website is smooth web 2.0 goodness. Its free for 15 days and they then require you to upgrade to the pro version for $15 with additional features, but the free version is just fine (and I guess you can keep registering new accounts once the trial expires).
The app can be set to sync over-the-air manually or when cradled - or every 5/10/x minutes, so you don't have to worry about hidden data usage, and can be configured for 1 or 2-way syncing. Also, it doesn't mess up anything when you use the regular WM6 ActiveSync. The only catch is no proxy support.

PS. I dont work for them or anything, I just think its a kickass system.
They also have a ff plugin to integrate RTM with GMail.
I use GMail IMAP, RTM(MilkSync, FF Plugin, http://code.google.com/p/rememberthemoof/), and OggSync(calendar+contacts).
I wish they could develop a nice slick Windows Mobile app to use with the RTM service, just like they've recently done with the iPhone app.
Today mozilla released an alpha version of the so called "fennec" Browser, the mobile version of firefox,
Although they have been releasing udates and actual releases for the Nokia n810 internet tablet, Today they released a version for......Desktop versions of windows, Mac os x and linux.
http://www.mozilla.org/projects/fennec/1.0a1/releasenotes/
Wow!, instructions on usage are on the page. Obviosuly mozilla decided this was the best way to show you what they are working on without buying one of those silly useless (but very good) Internet tablets...

anyword on the windows mobile install?
there is a developer's blog with screen from it running on wm6. i wish he would make it available
Looks sweet. Can't wait to try it.
TELL me about it, i can't wait for it, trying it out on the pc. It seems awesome. Youtube doesn't work, but im not sure if an installation of flash works with it. (who needs it anyway huh? Youtube program from HTC works fine!) Plug-ins are also a feature with fennec, which will be awesome for people on here to get some good useful plugins made for us all!
Available for download here
Obviously, users with proper computers need the fennec-1.0a1.en-US.win32.zip version!
I apologize in advance if this question has been asked before, but, I absolutely HATE how the stupid samsung calendar is the default cal when making new events! I SWEAR THEY ARE STILL STUCK IN FEATURE PHONE WORLD! ahem, sorry for the outburst. Any way, is three a way to change that?
i'd like to know too.

X2 ^^ ... one feature that I missed the most that was on my G1 is the hyperlink of URL, address & phone number.
Especially the hyperlink for address, I drive around town alot for work, and plan my destinations on Calendar the night before. Not having the hyperlink to address has been a PITA.
s0niqu3 was able to push the stock 2.1 apps on to the Vibrant. Check out his post below. I haven't tried it out myself though.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=731822&highlight=calendar
Yeah nothing is more frustrating than putting in the address and when you want to navigate to it, it well doesn't work.
More specifically:
Replace touch wiz calendar with google default

That bar on top pisses me off, but I would rather have a tiny annoyance than using the TouchWiz calendar.
Follow the directions though, you have to remove the TouchWiz Calendar and TouchWiz Calendar Provider FIRST with a root file explorer or ADB (which I never got working), and then uninstall the residuals from Settings>Applications. THEN push/move the two apk's in the linked thread to system/app, then reboot.
You will lose access to a few TouchWiz widgets, and the home dock app won't work.

Google's Android Market now has a web client. Finally! And guess what else, it's already live. Hit the source link below to get exploring. It's very simple, really, you can browse the entire Market catalog on your desktop or however else you're accessing the web, you can purchase anything that takes your fancy, and then -- via the magic of over-the-air transfers -- it downloads and installs onto your Android handset. A neat My Market Account section will let you nickname your registered devices to make them more recognizable as well.
Google has also just announced that Android will soon support in-app purchases. Widespread developer interest has been cited as the major reason for doing it, so you've got those lovable coders to thank for the oncoming wave of micropayments you'll have to deal with in your Android apps. The in-app purchasing SDK is releasing to devs today and will be "live to users prior to the end of this quarter."
Update: Invalid request. Yep, that's the message we keep getting when we try and download an app. Google promises that it should be working soon...
Update 2: And now it appears to be working!

Hey guys. According to the updates from dolphin blog, Facebook and Twitter. Dolphin Browser HD v5.0 has come out these days. I have downloaded the apk into my phone. It is amazing. Dolphin Browser HD v5.0 is a complete new version compared to the previous one. I love it. That’s exactly what I want.
Last time, they drive us the join the private beta activity, remember? I didn’t involve in. To be honest, I don’t believe this kind of thing. But it turns out to be a really great browser. The new dolphin has complete new UI, which I like very much. The home page has also been changed –how to say—more concise and leaner. What impresses me is the performance. It is faster and more stable. Another feature is that I can create new folder in the side bar.
The browser is awesome in my phone. Works great
Moreover it’s free. LOL Get it now, friends!
here is the QRcode in their blog

THANKS
yeah, i did it according to their blog .
it's easy
LOL i love it
I installed this yesterday and wow, simply all the features from other browsers are packed into this pretty much perfect browser. And it's really fast too.
I'm sticking with this for a while now
