Hi there everyone!
I installed a NAND Android Rom Dl Desire Z or something... everything was working, but suddendly phone just crashes, and nothing but a white screen appear as soon as HD2 powers on.
The only thing i'm able to do is to go to 3 color mode (hardspl) - but all attempts to flash a wm6.5 rom failed because customruu failed in the middle of the process. freezes at 0% and then appears a communication error in the application.
Conclusion: as soon as phone turns on, only a white screen appears, with nothing written in it.
i've searched for 2 hours in xda and google, nothing similar came...
i've reflashed hardspl3 - sucessfull, but nothing changed, white screen still appears.
i've tried to flash other roms but always freezes at 0%, and appears communication error in customruu application.
I don't know what to do :/
Is there anyone who can help me?
Thank you very much!!
If you can still get into bootloader and you do have hspl installed, try flashing the winmo rom via sd card.
Will do!
I'll post feedback
Start flashing official 1.66(its EU, you need analog to 1024 LEO) WM 6.5 rom from HSPL, than HPSL3, radio with 576 RAM(Radio_2.15.50.14 for example), than MAGLDR112, and after these steps flash Android
Hey there!
I've tried all the methods above indicated.
Flashed a new rom through sd - update failed
Flashed a stock 1.66 Wmo rom but white screen still appears as soon as phone is turned on
Can't downgrade HSPL to 1.42 or so...
Can't do Task 29...
What can I do?
Suggestions?!
Thank you!
Hello
Im thinking maybe your motherboard as many tmous users ?.. just thinking..maybe?? I don't hope it for you
Sent from my HTC HD2 using XDA App
It doesn't make sense :S
I never had any problem with it, and it was running a new Android rom for the second time.. then I take the phone out of the pocket and it is with a white screen...
I can get to the hspl boot but it isn't proving useful...
Any thoughts?
Hi got a problem with my HD2 which i got a couple of months ago, it came with WinMo 6.5 as standard, so i decided to put Android on it, so i flashed all the MAGLDR and clockwork mod stuff on, and loaded HyperDroid GBX onto it, this ran brilliantly up until yesterday when i briefly browsed facebook, then i locked the phone and put it back in my pocket, next time i tried to use it the touch screen would not respond whatsoever. Only the physical buttons worked, so i pulled the battery out and reset it but that has not helped.
Any reason why it suddenly failed like that? Very annoyed
Hi!
Try to return back to stock WM, it might help.
When I turn on the phone with the power button the touch screen doesn't work so I have to use any other button and it works. Running the same rom as you.
Yeah i noticed that too, when ever i unlocked the phone with the power button most of the time it didnt respond but any other button worked fine.
i sent it to repair.they will change the whole screen
Go back to a WM6.5 stock ROM, if the screen still does not work, then you may want to consider having it repaired. If it is under any sort of warranty make sure you un-HSPL it.
What happens if they find out that I have run Android and Energy rom on it?
Now it has SPL-3.03 0000 and I think the latest ROM.
Can I send it in like this? Is the spl original?

Once latest official ROM is installed and phone booting normally, nobody cares what OS was installed on it before You can have even SPL 2.08.000, it will pass check-in. And yes, SPL 3.03.000 is the latest official one.
Hope you are right, because I don't want to end up in jail for having messed with the copyright....
My phone won't open, the screen is not responding. But I know I have the 3 14 0466 ROM(?) and spl-3.03.0000
the multi-coloured screen says:
PB81100 HX-BC
SPL 3.03.0000 XE
MicroP (LED) 0x05
MicroP(TOUCH) 0x40
Did You tried to flash through SD card?
It's easy. Just unpack somewhere downloaded ROM, rename file RUU_signed.nbh to Leoimg.nbh, copy it to your SD card and go to tri-color screen. Then you will be asked to flash the phone and after after pressing Vol+ key it will start to reflash. Hope it helps, goodluck!
thx
was that last one for me? I think I have the correct Rom and SPL, the screen is not functioning, so I am planning to send it in for repair.
I have tried sd-flashing, and it didn't help. Used different sd-cards and LEOIMG.n...
but I managed to get it to the spl and rom as mentioned.
Planning on sending it in, bad plan?? or good plan??

If it is still under warranty, go on
In what circumstances your touch stopped working? Was it dropped ground, placed in wet conditions (eventually steam or mist or submerged)?
no reason really. Never dropped it, had it since last March.
Ran Android and Energy-Rom on it since october...
No Idea why it stopped working

It doesn't work all time or only after standby/block? I've had same kind problem with touch not working after standby, with Artemis WinMo ROM. Solved after HR but after few days repeated. I installed one of the latest NRG ROMs and it solved this trouble. If touch doesn't respond all the time then it may be dead because of controller failure and should be replaced IMHO.
it is totally blocked. nothing works on the screen. buttons are ok, but the phone is locked, so i can only see the unlock-slider...
IMHO?

It's My Humble Opinion
Heheh, thanks. I am sending it in then. Hoping they can fix it. Can't be that expensive, if the warranty isn't valid. If warranty covers it, I am glad...
Thanks for your help
I cracked my screen on my HD2 so while waiting for my new parts to arrive I got a good deal on a HD2 running windows.
so I started out to turn it into a twin of my other one. with magldr, clockworkmod, and Android. it alrready had 2.08 hspl so i loaded magldr. only weird thing is sometimes when i boot to magldr it vibrates 7 short pulses and the menu doesnt show up. put it in flasher and tried to flash cwm and it ends saying reset now!!!!. but when i try to load to recovery from magldr it runs thru a few lines but ends with "1EFATAL HIT 1" in red.
I can not figure out what the problem here is. can anyone help me here? if anyone has any idea what is wrong i would be so appreciative.
Damn, seems you got a broken one.
The 7 vibrations thing means that there is something wrong with the hardware.
we are trying to find solution ( actually we did but we you will need some equipment ) visit this link
so none knows what the 1EFATAL HIT 1 is? I cant be the first person to ever have this happen.

yes we know, thats why i posted that link.
If you followed guide to flash your phone and everything its ok ( software area ) than your phone has hardware problems - like corrupted nand, heating issues etc etc.
Put your phone in a fridge ( take out battery, sd card, simcard and put phone in a bag to protect from water ) for 5-10 min and power one if it boots than its heating issues .
did that and still got the fatal hit error, so its a corrupt nand?
what now?

could be.
Star again from the beginning ... flash your hd2 with stock-original rom ( download from htc - tmobile support with your hd2 serial number ) with sd card method and see if everything works well, then start to flash android or winphone 7.
Otherwise it could be hardware problems sending to a professional service shop could be only solution ( like posted in that link i provided, this means to remove and put it back phone CPU..etc etc).
i hope you will solve this problem
Hi, I just got a new HD2 (after I thrashed my first one). I've been fixing some other peeps phones too, so I know all about the flashing procedure.
I've installed HSPL and a new radio onto the phone, but when I enter the bootloader screen all it shows is:
PB81100 HX-BC
SPL-2.08.HSPL 8G XE
0x05
Not cotulla or anything. Any ideas about what's wrong? and what does the last line indicate anyway?
It does boot up with stock ROM, but the touch isn't working! I tryed to install MAGLDR, but it always got stuck at 123456 ---- and that's it. Any ideas ?
My suggestion is you re flash HSPL as it seems it might have not flashed correctly. I also suggest you run a Task 29 and re flash MAGLDR. It just seems you might be having troubles with your NAND memory. If this does not fix it then it is a chance you have bad blocks, but that is only worst case senario.
Bad blocks, meaning something on my internal memory on the motherboard? Because the motherboard works in my other phone (which screen is totally trashed)
Okay, so I got it too boot up in WinMo with touch working and everything.. It's just that the SIM card wasn't inserted. When I tried that, the touch won't work..

Yes bad blocks means bad memory blocks in your NAND memory chip. But from your last post I do not think you have any bad blocks.
I am a little confused now though, so do you have a working HD2 now or is it still not working correctly?
Well.. The whole story is:
I have had my HD2 (let's called it HD-A) for about 1.5 year now, but recently I got drunk and threw it to the ground, thus breaking the glass, so the hard buttons in the bottom fell off. The touch was still working and so was the phone in general.
Then some dude asked me if i wanted to fix his phone (HD-B) (which his friend bricked [it was doing a boot loop]). I though, tyeah I'll try to fix it, so he mailed it to me. When I got it I tried, but failed so the phone don't even turn on anymore, even though it totally new. When I told him he just told me that I could keep it for spare parts.
So, I put the motherboard from HD-A into HD-B. They are the same model T8585's and everything match. The phone turned on and everything, but then came the problem from #1.
Dear expert,
I bought my htc hd2 in saudi Arabia. I had reset this phone by mistake by clicking on value added button and after that a language prob appeared. Anyways one of my friends flashed my phone with new english language rom for ease and install anderiod as well but the only issue was, when i was using internet, it was getting heat and resetart itself.
So I thought that it might be a problem of anderiod with windows, what i did was, i remove and formated the sd card first on my pc then inserted into my phone and flash it with the same rom, but after that my phone doesn't boot fully upto home screen. It does go to the boot option where we get the different strips of color like red green blue and white with some info on the screen like (note: I don't know what these were originally but now all these info are what depicted belwo)
PB81100 SS-BC, SPC-2.08.HSPL 8G XE, 0X05, CotullaHSPL 05X0 and USB
but doesn't start fully after reseting, always freez at the white screen with htc and nothing else:-(
Till now I tried different forum tips for the help, flashed many times with different rom but still the same prob, doesn't completely start upto home screen, always freezed as mention above.
Please help me, what should I do, so that my phone become as it was originally?
Which version of rom or some other software i should download and try to flash it and from where i should download the correct one.
Some of the infos of my phone are as follows,
htc hd2
SN: SH06PNW02764
Firstly, remove your serial number.
Now, if you want your device "as originally as it was" you need to download HSPL Package and remove HSPL 2.08 from your phone.
By the way, what radio are you using?
Is that a US T-Mobile version or another Vendor version !? as your serial number does not pull up a ROM selection on HTC's website !
With device correctly identified we can probably find a ROM & try flash via SD might be good option should you want HSPL ect all removed in one flashing step
Problem does sound more like quite common mainboard fault experienced by quite a few users of multiboot HD2s, but lets hope not ....
