it a stock rom u can use it, but i never do any thing other then remove the singapore stock apps
when u are talking about watching movie u watch it on a website or using the video apps in ur galaxy tab
the stock rom i edited is same as ur current one

It laggy when I watch video using video native app on gtab, the same laggy result when i use mVideoPlayer. I try to put video file on microsd n device memory but still got the same result.
I don't know why it laggy. But it laggy almost all of my full movie file.
My gtab still pure, i haven't do anything such as rooting.
i want to ask stupid question:
"stock rom" is this equal to "original firmware" ?
thanks

Hi
Sorry for digging up an old thread. But I have a question.
Since this is the stock froyo rom. If I were to flash this, will I be able to connect to Kies for subsequent update to Gingerbread ?
Cheers

Why do you want this if you are updating thru kies? Updating thru kies will put back all the apps removed previously.

Yes. You can.

Thanks. Will give it try .
Am helping a friend who is on cm7 now but prefers stock. So if this could help him get back to stock Frito then upgrade via kies to gingerbread, it will be great.

Issues about ROM, UPDATE, APPS & LAG FIX

Hi People
I am new to this Forum and please i need all the help i can get.
Over a month ago i upgraded my Galaxy S to a 2.2 using odin after o2 told me i was a pay as u go customer and could not get one.
However, i noticed Flash 10.1, youtube and some other apps will not update. Angry birds will not even install.
Is there anyway to update to the official Froyo, get the latest ROM and eliminate lags.
Thanks in advance

First noticeable difference is that baseband version is different from previous versions, i think different from JPM too...
Will try this firm for a day or more and will post the comments.

free firmware with chinese as default language
I flashed this yesterday, after having bvjp9 for a while. I like it and it certainly feels faster. UK English was default language for me, although, i had to change the keyboard from Chinese to Samsung. No issues thus far, and little bloatware.

it wont work from JPM. You need to rollback to DDJG6 and then update to this one....
Also remove boot.bin and sh.bin from package to avoid bricking
i notice this ,Taiwan ver is ZFJPF is Provider firmware
have Q MARKET and some useless software inside
this ver I5801ZHJPF is me update from kies ZHJH1 "street buy ver"
it have a "windows live msg" is only work on hongkong 3G network(wifi is not work)
Been using this ROM since morning. So far so good. Below is my observation:
1. Battery bug is there. When battery goes down, restart phone and it is good again
2. GPS is same as JPM. Got sattelite connection in under 10 seconds
3. I dnt know but looks like its me with the popping sound. Majorly happens when i am using headphones and screen goes Blank. Wake up the phone and it pops
4. Media Scanning takes longer than JPM

The version I used was ZHJPF, downloaded from another post, using medifire, before this was released by Samfirmware, and there are no erroneous apps present.
I am now able to browse the internet using HSPDA, previously only 3G was available to me using JP9. Perhaps my GiffGaff signal has improved, but it seems coincidental.
It is most definitely faster, than JP9, and, I will be keeping a close watch on battery life. WiFi and GPS are also working well. I am now rooted, and my Live Wallpapers are running smoothly.
I wanted to keep my 5801 identity, and until we get something decent in Europe, I would recommend this firmware, as a good Froyo base.

Hi Guys,
I am facing problem re-upgrading to this ROM. Due to certain reason i had to install JPM. Afterwards i rolled back to DDJG6 and updated to this one but stuck at Samsung Logo.
Tried removing cache, factory reset but unable to upgrade to this one...

The Baseband version for this is I5801ZHJP3; not sure that helps you, but when I flashed initially, I went from JP9, and did not factory reset, and it worked just fine as an upgrade. I tried it, liked it and then reset and clean flashed.
Samfirmware twittered Froyo by the end of April for Galaxy 3, so our best bet is to try and use what we can for now.

[Q] Update from 4.0.3 to 4.0.4 not available

Hello all,
I've got GT-P5100. In "Settings->About" i have Android version 4.0.3. When trying to update (either via Kies or via Tablet) it says no update available. This is strange because I've contacted the Samsung and they told me it should update... My friends that have the same tablet (branded) already have 4.0.3. How can I find the cause and resolve it?
Samsung support told me that this is 'impossible' and I should go to service.... of course I can but firstly... it will take too much time (It's my new toy - you know what i mean) and secondly it's rooted so I probably would have to spend some time to unroot it and get to 'new' look. (I've also tried updating before rooting...)
Thanks in advance
edit: I just noticet that this is not this section. Tried to repair it somehow but no option. Sorry
See www.samfirmware.com for 4.0.4,
then flash it via odin, but make sure it is for 5100 and has your language

Thank you for your answer. It seems that my version is still 4.0.3 because its:
P5100XWALD7 PDA AP
P5100OXXALD9 CSC
and my friend has (which is not exactly found samfirmware - only AP/PDA is found):
AP5100XXBLH2
CP5100XXLH2
CSC5100PRTBLH2
This is very strange to me that we're in the same country, we have the same language on tablet but different versions of Android. The only difference is that he has Tablet from one of our mobile (carriers?) which means its somehow branded and I have not branded bought in normal shop.
How can I solve it? Can I install any 4.0.4 on my Galaxy or even the JellyBean?

Thank you Samsung

Thank you Samsung for giving Android 4.1.2 to all of us!
I am happy for now... until we will start to complain about not getting 4.2. hehe

No Jellybean here...
Jellybean not out for everyone yet. I am in New Zealand and still on 4.0.4....
Depressing really.
I have to say, the new update for N8010 (MA5) is just awesome. Runs fluid like hell (about 6100 points in quadrant w/o tweaks or OC, for those who wants to know).
No new apps, afaics.
USB-OTG got fixed again, works, but unfortunately not with "high-powered" devices like my 2,5 inch hdd, btw it works with my galaxy s3 and get power, but not on my note 10.1
Oh Irony I hope the devs can rule this problem out, would really apprentice to see my external harddrives working with my note
I guess, its all I can say at this moment, since I couldnt test the new firmware completely (cause of exams -.-)

It is great, one of the things I really like is the on screen commands. Makes going back and forth thru web pages and content a breeze. 2nd only to the quick launch bar at the bottom that lets you pan thru, split screen or cascade windows. When you are on the web you don't have to waste time shutting windows to open an app. Next is the paper artist app, I really like it but it pales to PS which received the latest update. SNote was always good and much better. Now when you see something on a screen you just hold down the pen button while drawing "any shape, letter, number whatever" and you can save the content to a scrap book. Those are just the ones I appreciate so far.
One thing I have always liked about Samsung devices is on the keyboard is the www. and .com so you just type in the site name and you don't have to keep repetitively putting in the same www and .com for every site you visit. Another thing is voice tweeting. On twitter I just voice type in my posts. Last but not least you can write on any picture outside of SNote. In gallery you can send pics as postcards by just choosing a picture and edit. It turns the picture on it's back and you can handwrite or type in your message, then email. If you want to write on the face take a snap shot and then do so or go to PS or SNote. Too much to like I could go on and on. The best tablet I have ever had and I have had many.

About country versions:
Experience shows that the waiting time for your country firmware version or an OTA update for your country depends on the priority your country has for samsung (waiting time of 1 day, many months or possibly never get an update for your country).
Samsung firmware for the Note 10.1 includes all languages and is almost identical in all country versions (with exception of the China version).
Also the German version offers all languages at setup. You just have to select Samsung Keyboard in your language version in settings and the firmware will be like your own country version.
You should backup all your data/apps/settings with something like Titanium backup, install the new firmware and then do a factory reset.
You can also not do the factory reset, but you may have compatibility problems.
To install firmware on your Note 10.1 you need Odin.

The N8000 got it first because it is the most expensive, main device, almost a copy of the N7100.
N8013 got it second this time because you were lucky. N8000 and 8010 are international versions, N8013 is a USA only, regional subversion.
N8010 got it last but is now the newest version.

You can also use mobile ODIN if you are rooted and want to keep root.
This bypasses the using of a PC if you download the update to your tablet, unrar it and then flash with mobile ODIN.
If you want a perfectly stock rom then you just untick everroot option and tick clear cache/data and clear dalvik cache.

mobile odin is not free. everroot for keeping root is only in the paid version.
mobile odin installs a custom kernel, not the original samsung kernel.
Is this custom kernel based on the new 2013 samsung kernel that patches exynos exploit (the patch is in the kernel) ?

No need to be sarcastic i was just wandering how much better the 10.1 was since the update. Don't get your panties in a bunch when someone mentions another device on the 10.1 forum.

Wrong lol completely, lol joking but no N8000 got its ROM first not because its more expensive that's totally incorrect. Only because it has phone capabilities and is the starting point of the base rom. Once they where done making it for the N8000 then all they do is change the features in it to make it compatible with the other note 10.1's. We basically all have the same ROM just with changes made. And the CMA1, CMA3, and CMA5 at the end of the build names are just build dates not exactly versions.

The newest 4.2 release is faster then the first 4.2 release.i flashed it over odin, and it was 30% faster then debloated first 4.2,even with bloatware and .odex files.4.1 isnt that good, belive me.

This is the link to the newest 4.2.Flash with odin, then open twrp, flash blackhawk kernel with samsung vendor blobs, reboot(TWRP will ask you to install superSU right after you press reboot and select yes).Remove unneeded bloatware from system/app and you have a fast 4.2 rom with all of samsungs beauty.

Cm is fatest and stablest! The mokee rom from @daavvis seems really nice, I like it a lot.
If you want stock, try the micro delta rom, if there is for p5100, or the uk variant or latest firm from sammy

If you don't want to lose warranty, call Samsung to help you with the update.
Otherwise, search and read about updating it yourself.
Anyone looking to try kitkat here is first test build cm11 : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=47408204

Using CM10.2, Droid4.3 with root. Trying to install iFruit, but it won't let me move the .obb into /sdcard/Android/obb/com.rockstargames.ifruit/, and it won't even let me delete the folder.
Tried using Es and Root Browser. Also tried using Fix Permissions in Recovery.
How do I fix this?

I was running stock 4.2.2 on my tab 2 10.1, and decided a week ago to try out 4.3.1 using the CM 10.2 nightly builds. I was very pleased with the 1105 build and have been using the 1108 build for the past 5 days. Much smoother, faster, and best of all, the bloatware Samsung puts in is gone! I've not seen any issues, or crashes so far.
so is there is no way?
is there a way to change the region code?

If you want to change region code you would have to root your tab (root loses warranty) so your best option is to go to sammobile.com/firmwares and download latest firm for your tab! This will not void your warranty! If u ever have a problem and you need to take your tab for repair through warranty you can flash the firm for your country and then take to Samsung
Press that thanks button!
