Can any one give me a link to any 3 UK ruu for wildfire or a website with all the available ruus thanks in advance.

Ok forget the edit. I got the 3uk ruu from shipped roms. Made my gold card a went through the same procedure as debranding and it comes up with bootloader error when the ruu tries to flash. But I managed to flash 2.1 update1 eclair Rom straight after. So how can I get the 3 ruu to work or how can.I make a flashable zip of the 3 UK ruu. It's quite urgent as three won't repair my wildfire without there Rom on it. I'm stuck lol. Thanks in advance

Have you tried the .exe version with a USB cable?
Yes. That is what gave me the bootloader error. I managed to make a flashable zip of the 3uk eclair Rom using Rom kitchen but it says there is no new update when I try doing the ota when I know there is one. Any ideas or any way to flash the ota with recovery.

hey guys i got a problem and i need help with my htc hero. well to start off, I had version 1.5 and i tried to do the OTA Update, but it didn't work, and i sent it back to HTC to repair it. Once i got it back, it had version 2.1 on it, but stupid me did another OTA update on my hero, and now i have the same problem as i did in the beginning except instead of a HERO screen, my hero is stuck on the HTC screen. Does any1 know a fix for this problem? any help would be appereciate. BTW i tried doing the hold home + Back already.
Run official RUU And then flash recovery .
sorry for the noobie question, but how do you do that? where could i get the files?
bumpp! hahaha
If you use search or google, you will find GSM hero ruu updates on shipped-roms, amongst various sites
Click on my Radio signature and you will see that ..
hey i was reading your SIG, but will it work for a non rooted hero?
Just download the Official RUU version of hero .. it don't need root or anything ..
[email protected] Don't flash radios unless you have recovery & custom ROM
hey i tried dling the RUU on the Official HTC website, but i have a higher version then they one they provide
bump!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, my wildfire has hboot 1.01.0001 and it got S-OFF via the XTC Clip....anyway, unrevoked (latest version ive downloaded from the enurevoked site) still cant root the phone (i keep on getting the "is your firmware to new" message over and over).
What to do to get it rooted now?
What I did was to install an older ruu from the shipped rom website. After you did install it you should be able to use unrevoked.
Success

i found this link here:
forums.phone-tools.cn/showthread.php/31659-Hboot-1.01.001-Unlock-And-Rooting
the clockwork from the file PC49IMG.zip installed successfully
however, it says it cant find the update.zip on the sdcard (and the file is present)

Which one, there are kinda many out there?
Why make it difficult for yourself put an older ruu and then use unrevoked. It's a little more work but if you are not sure what you do then it is the best way.

The method posted at:
forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1000367
worked, rooted now )))))
getting S-OFF in your device is what u need to root froyo wildfire. once u have got S-OFF, u can root wildfire in two ways
1.noobs guide to root wildfire froyo official
2.flashing an older android 2.1 rom update utility, so that u can root with unrevoked software.
regarding the process of noobs guide, u can search here in the wildfire xda forum to know the process. it uses super one click method to root the phone.
and regarding the second process, im describing it here.
once u have got S-OFF in your device, then it is possible to downgrade your bootloader. only do this with official ROM UPDATE UTILITY. donot do it with any other process. go to the website
http://shipped-roms.com/shipped/Buzz/
there download ur region rom exe file. the most important thing is to download a android 2.1 rom. donot download the froyo rom. then make the ROM UPDATE UTILITY. at the end of that process u will get an official 2.1 on ur device with downgraded bootloader (0.80). then root ur phone with an updated version of unrevoked. thats all.
i dont know whether S-OFF persists after the official RUU.
Hi, I flashed rcmix hd and am really enjoying it at the moment, but if I wanted to go back to my stock rom I had, do I just restore my nandroid backup?? And then unroot and eng s-on?
Thank you ;-)
Sent from my Desire HD using XDA App
Yep, should be as simple as that (restoring the backup will return the phone to the state it was in when the backup was taken).
Unless you're needing it fully back to stock for warranty purposes I'd be inclined to leave root and s-off so when you inevitably get sick of the stock ROM again you can flash another without having to bother re-doing all that, but that's just me
You will also have to replace CWM with the stock one.
An alternative would be flash RUU, s-on and unroot.
I didn't see post sorry, yeah I was thinking of going back to stock, but wondered whether I should use Vodafone branded ruu or use official HTC ruu??
If I flash official HTC ruu, will I debrand my phone? And if its debranded do I still get ota updates?
And after flashing HTC ruu, do I just do radio s-on and unroot? Or as u said just flash official ruu and leave root and radio s-on for another rom later on down the line?
Oh and you said I will need to replace cwm with stock one, so if I flashed HTC ruu, does that automatically replace it?
Thank you

ok thank you, i was gonna flash official ruu 1.32 but it is in exe. format, how would i do that?? because i thought it had to be a zip file, so you could install it through cwm????
Maybe it's meant to be used on the computer if it's an exe?
You will also probably have to connect the phone to the computer via usb.

hhmmmm, maybe i should just use the zip file then.
theres 2, either 1.32 xx3.exe
or 1.32 xx6.zip
does it really matter which one i flash??
It's not meant to be flashed, it's meant to be executed on the computer with the phone connected via usb. HTC Sync should be on too. I was just being sarcastic earlier...

looooool i know , but ive just got used to using the zip file and installing through cwm, so all this talk of exe. files is confusing me yet again :-0???
but i suppose using the 1.32 xx6 zip file is ok, i hope
The RUU is an all in one utility to flash official HTC ROMs, RUU = Rom Update Utility.
To flash one, ensure you have HTC Sync installed (for correct drivers), plug your handset in to your computer, double click the RUU.exe, follow the prompts. Easy as peas.

Ahh ok sounds easy enough, thanks.
Can I ask which is the more stable rom out of 1.32 xx3 and 1.32 xx6?

Can I flash a ruu.zip through cwm or do I HAVE to use the exe. On comp?
And do I need to rename the ruu.zip to pd98img.zip???
Cheers

if im not wrong flashing the ruu will flash the recovery to the default one as well.and will also eng-S-On it...so the only thing to do after that is just to root and radio S-On.

Why do you have to make it harder than it is? Just run the RUU .exe from your computer.

Yes that had already been confirmed, your post doesn't answer his last question at all. Don't just post something random because you need your 10 posts, it might do more damage than good.

Yeah I done it now mate thanks just run it through computer and it done its thing.
So I'm debranded now, I lost root but did get ota update for 1.32 xx6 which I updated so happy at moment , thanks for your help ;-)
Oh but cos I'm debranded at the moment if I wanted to do s-on and change cid thing, would I change it to debrand model or do I need to change cid to branded? Cos it was originally branded? But not anymore ???

As you have a unbranded rom, use the unbranded CID
P.S. If you find my posts useful, hit the thanks button
Mate you have been so helpful, honestly mate I couldn't even put it into words how greatful I am, I really appreciate all u have said and guided me through it all, thanks alot ;-)

Hi guys, I didn't want to post in the development thread, not to pollute it
So here is my situation, i currently have SalsaSense RC3 with Clockworkmod recovery. I tried to revert to stock rom RUU_Hero_HTC_WWE_3.32.405.1_R_Radio_63.18.55.06P_6.35.15.11_release_signed
using the RUU process with the phone conected to the PC. When i try to do the procedure i says to get the right RUU for my phone. I have the GSM hero.
Any suggestions?
EDIT: Could i need a goldcard, cause my phone wasn't branded
Google Shipped ROM, can't remember the exact URL. And then just flash that in recovery.

Thanks JieeHD, actually I used a RUU from shipped roms, and it came up with error 155. BTW the Rom is awesome, and I plan to return to it. Keep up the good work
For any one else who has problems with error 155 when flashing a stock rom this is what i did
Create GoldCard (GoldCard Tool)
Extract rom from RUU
Rename rom.zip -> HEROIMG.zip (careful NOT to rename it to HEROIMG.zip.zip)
Flash through recovery (Reboot the phone while pressing Volume Down + Power On)
Enjoy
Thank you very much JieeHD for the beautiful Salsa port to our Hero, except for some lags it's a great ROM, can't wait for your next release
can you give a direct link to 4ext recovery.

android version 2.3.3 and sense 2.1
and i tried to unlock using htcdev but they told me that i have to update hboot, ive tried the ruu they gave me but it did not work,it said that it want to update the phone, and when i tried to update the phone there was no update available.
sorry for bad english
Are you branded or unbranded?
Sent from my HTC Desire HD using xda premium
Unbranded
i live in Syria(Arab country)
I thought about updating with latest WWE RUU and then unlock using htcdev ,is that ok?or is there anything I must make sure of before using the RUU?
There us no need to unlock the bootloader if you are already S-OFF.
And yes I would recommend you to run the latest WWE RUU from your computer. You don't have to to anything before running the RUU just connect your phone in charge mode only with USB debugging enabled and your good to go.

Last question:
Will my phone back to s-on after ruu update?
Note:
my phone is s-off but I can't flash custom recovery
Yes the phone will remain s-off after the ruu and you should be able to flash a Rom when you are s-off
