Help needed quick, getting flashrec to work

Hi, on rooting my phone orange branded and im very stuck, im following the newbies guide to rooting on these forums, and im stuck on this bit
Open the file manager and find the FlashRec apk file and click it and choose open app manager and then install it.
I open the file manager, and go to the flashrec apk file but there is no option or whatever to open app manager and install it, im not sure what it means???.
other than that i understand the whole process, is flashrec missing app manager, or im i missing something, please any help would be much appreciated

There are several file manager applications available on the Market. Are you sure you have one that is able to install APKs? For example, OI File Manager is able to do that.

[Q] How do I delete/rename "default.acdb"

How can I delete this file, every time I try to it says "error deleting file" and when I try to rename it says "insufficient permissions".
Is there something I need to do beforehand in order to gain the permissions to rename/delete this file?
I've tried using Astro and FileManager and neither seem to work.

use root explorer or droid explorer.

[Q] Can't open install .apk file Documents to Go

Running the original DTG that came on the TPT.
Can't sync. DTG sent me the file:
http://download.dataviz.com/documentstogo/android/3004/dxtg-lenovo_3.004u.1236.apk
I have downloaded it many time and I can't get it to run or open.
Keep getting the message:
"file type com not found"
non market is checked.
How can I get this to run???
I need to update DTG.

Z4root problem with defy

Hi when I try to install Z4root only on this device I got an error (in french) Error when analyzing the installation kit (or something like that)...
The apk is @ the root of my sd card & I've tried the standard file explorer & also FX explorer
Any idea?

Root with framaroot. You posted in the wrong section.

.apks "Program was not installed"

Hey guys,
since yesterday i cannot install .apks anymore.
It everytime fails by saying "Program was not installed" - installations via Playstore do work, tho.
Of course i have activated the setting to install 3rd party apps.
i'm using a rooted, but stock rom s7 Edge.

What apps are you trying to install.

Adaway for example

Does the error only occur when you dl from a browser, then click on the notification when finished?
I open the .apk by selecting it in My Files, should be listed under 'Recent Files.'

The Error also occurs also when i try to install it via Total Commander (a root Browser), MyFiles and via Browser
Tried it with another .apk, still the same "App was not installed" error

Try going into the app manager, hitting more and selecting show system apps, then clear the data of Package Installer
