Is there a way to change the lock screen animation?
it's SUPER slow for me... everything else on the phone is amazingly fast so i can't understand why the lock screen swipe is so slow.. =X
I've only used the fingerprint reader and it's working really well. I know the lock screen animation on my Captivate (froyo) is very slow.

is it supposed to be fast when it starts the animated portion, or sluggish. Mines is like choppy at isnt it suppose to be smooth to show off the processor speed?
Also how do i get the landscape view on my phone, i seen some screen shots, and it was landscape, but i turn my phone and nothing.
Also i noticed this just right now, i used the bar code scanner to scan some ****, and i heard a weird noise come from the phone. Like a rattle or something loose, but i shake the phone and nothing. Is that the camera just working?

The rattle noise is the autofocus of the camera. IT IS NORMAL when you are using a camera application.
The start up animation is pretty choppy (it was fast on first boot) its pretty normal because the CPU is working to load the Android OS. As for landscape, it doesnt rotate on the home screen. It should however rotate everywhere else, but only if you turn it to the left (volume buttons facing downwards). If that doesnt work you have a problem. Try restarting the phone if that doesnt work you probably should call HTC.
My start up logo is choppy at first then it gets smooth.
Make sure also you have auto-rotate turned on in Settings>Sound and Display>Orientation
Since I have owned the N1 I have noticed that the screen will sometimes loose it calibration. Recently I have found though that when it starts to behave irregularly, if I turn off the display and use the slide to unlock mechanism built into the phone, the calibration is restored.
I was wondering if there was some type of calibration function to the unlocking feature of the N1, or if it is simply a placebo effect. If there is a calibration function, I wonder if there is a way to call it outside of the lock screen.
It's not a placebo, pretty much everyone has to do it once in a while.
my favorite is when I'm typing on the on screen keyboard and it's hitting keys WELL below where I'm actually typing.
I just consider it a glitch and assume it is being worked on. No biggee...
does anybody notice after updating to 4.2 that it takes a longer time to power off the tablet (the fadeout animation) Also when rotating the home screen and lockscreen it is much slower.

Nope. Home screen rotates fine. Might have a small delay....which I like as it doesn't switch at the blink of an eye.

i also haven't noticed much in the way of a slow down in rotation animation. i actually dont mind it simply because i use the N7 in portrait mode most of the time.
as for the screen off animation....doesn't bother me..i actually like it. once i hit the button it make the screen unresponsive anyway, so i see no problem with it.
Lately my girlfriend has been having issues with her GS7 edge, she has the screen timeout for 1 minute yet the screen turns off randomly when she's scrolling or texting or just about anything.
Also when she has her phone face down laying on her she notices the screen flashes blue.
And just the lag on the phone, she tells me when she's messaging a lot her phone lags. When she unlocks her phone weather its using her fingerprint or the pattern to unlock it. So I suggested her waiting for a minute before she answers back and it does improve it but is that something she's going to have to do for now on or is there something to fix these things.... I know it's touch wiz and there is always lag when you are dealing with it but I don't really know since I've always used Nexus devices.

After some time, the infinity wallpaper stops responding to motion, i.e, it does not turn left/right with motion, but only with touch. However, when I lock my device and unlock it again, it starts working. I am not able to get clearly what is causing this, since a normal wallpaper with motion ticked, works perfectly. Motion games work perfectly, all sensors passed in the test. Occuring since Nougat. Currently on Oreo 8.0.0
