Win, that's funny AND a good upload
rofl, that made my day.
snak ... anal ... small
that's awesome
Swift key has been suggesting funny stuff to me too. I was placing an office supply order today and typed box of and got chocolates when I wanted pens, and then bottle of got me vodka, which probably would have been more helpful than the white out I was looking for.
Nothing as crazy as your example though.
JAson
The phone bases its suggestions on letters that are close to the word typed. Look at that anal is pretty much the same keys just off by one letter for A and L. Not be an as$ just informing you. The system is actually pretty smart working like this.
I really needed a laugh....thanks!

lol that was pretty good this thread is the win
This thread is full of win! I had something similar happen a couple of weeks ago with Google Voice. I was supposed to be picking my sister up from her meeting. She got out early and called me to make sure I was on my way. Here is what GV thought she said:
Hey this is Mrs. Give me a call back. I am died. Come pick me up.

Hi peeps. I got my new ns today and no matter who I get a picture text from, the picture is really blurry. I even took a nice picture and texted it to myself. Still blurry. We have a cliq, 3g slide, vibrant, and a nexus one at my house. I receive blurry pics from all of them. Is there something wrong with my phone?
maybe your carrier downgrades the pictures?
1)try emailing it to your computer and see if its blurry. If its clear its your carrier/mms setup
2)try texting a picture from your n1 to ns and if its blurry its your carrier.
if all that fails maybe its defective.
Na its normal... the screen is bigger than the picture intended. Works good on 3.7 inch screens but everything above that kinda gets un focused or pixelated.
All of the phones I listed above are active on the same tmobile shared family plan. They can all send clear pics to each other, and I can send clear pics to them.
I just did a test, and have the same issue.
I just called tmobile to check on things and everything looks alright they say. They also told me it sounds like a phone issue, not a service issue and referred me to samsung. Well of course they are closed right now but here's the number:
888-987-4357
Please post any updates or if this is also happening to you. Thanks guys.
I need to keep tabs on this one. Let us know what Samsung has to say about this one.
BTW, I tested it with both stock, and handcent, and have the same issues with both.
I'll update tomorrow after I talk to them.
In the meantime can we get some other ns owners to send pictures to themselves and have some friends/family send a pic to them? Post results here?
Has anyone tried getting an image sent to them and then downloading it to view in gallery or on a PC?
Any difference in quality?
Have the same problem

I did try this too. I just forgot to mention it. The quality is just as bad.
I know some leaked Froyo builds on the Galaxy S Vibrant had this issue.
On my Nexus One
I just updated to a newer Cyanogen version and it worked. I think this is software related not really carrier or hardware.

Can you link to what you used to fix pls?
Or at least some more info? You used the cyanogen camera?
I'm kinda sure all android phones do this. I know my G2 also has burly contact pics. I've read it's because of the google sync.

I saw the comparison sheet for the EVO shift today. It compares the EVO Shift, EVO, Epic to T-Mobile's myTouch and G2. At the bottom of the page it says "Coming soon Android 2.2 for Samsung Epic 4G. Details to follow."
They sure do love to string us along.

When it comes to Froyo, the operative phrase is 'tickling our a** with a feather.'
It is on Sprint's dealer portal, which most of you can't get in to. If someone wants to host it, I can send it along.

Can u print screen it or submit a picture?
Had to download PrintKey, because Windows and Paint didn't like me using Print Screen with dual displays. Something about not enough ram when I still have nearly a gig free. Anyway, here's a screen shot. It's big. I'm in 1440x900.
edit: Well, crap. XDA resizes pictures when they're posted. What I'm talking about is in that little yellow bubble on the right.

Wow could you be more of a **** in your response? Someone already posted your 'hard-earned' information that is basic forum know-how. So I applaud your first grade spelling and use of childish internet colloquialisms.
As to my prior response, again I would be willing to host the image on any number of image hosting sites. Thank you for the update and giving us access to your insider information!

LMAO, yes it does. No 1 fn told you the difference between posting a picture by uploading it to xda, and hosting it somewhere else to use an img tag. There is no url for the pic. If the picture was already on the web somewhere, I could have used an img tag. But when you add a pic to a post as an attachment, it resizes it for you.
So, I've gone and hosted it at imgur. Here's your pic.
Nice pic, thanks!! again would thank u but stupid thank limit is bugging me and i dont remeber even hitting it 5 times today ;/
i wonder when the detail will follow, keep us informed if details follow on that site Digi..
At this point, once froyo source drops, I want a gingerbread rom! I hope ACS Team pulls it off.

+1 I would thank as well but am also out. lol oh well. As for the picture...I find the phrasing 'details to follow' to be odd as it generally implies details will be following in very short succession. To echo david, I would be much obliged if you could check this page again later and give us an update if the details really do follow! Thanks again!

As someone who has owned an iPhone4, only thing better is the camera, and I guess the screen, but I don't really care about that.. Show them ANYTHING ELSE and they will be impressed.
Also, I bet when the Evo was announced, the person making the announcement was able to get a data connection on their phone.

make sure the screnes are totally different... with sense. without sense.

.... why doesn't the iphone have widgets? such a fail. Thats the biggest thing its lacking imho.
Hm... Widgets. 'Nuff said. I'd like to see an iPhone search the App Store from the phone's homescreen. Or for that matter do anything besides open its programs. I would have thought the big clock and weather widget on the main Sense screen would be enough, that was honestly part of why I chose the Evo over the Epic. (that and a dislike of Samsung after my horrible experiences with my last phone)
edit: yes, show him custom ROM loading and backup, plus how easy it is compared to the iPhone.
steve jobs.. dont believe in widgets!
Wireless tether, hulu, and Angry Birds. When I first got my evo the Iphone people would eventually default back to "I got angry birds" since that was the only thing their phone could do that mine couldn't. I suppose you could show them qik even though it sucks, it is definatly going to be the future of phone callls.
The wife just sent me a text asking what the Galaxy S4 can do that our Evo 3Ds don't do.
Anyone know of a good YouTube video I can send her that will show her how awesome this phone is? I'm getting the phone in launch day either way, but if I could get her excited about it then it'd be a nice bonus.
