Is the current beta referring to the beta2 installation package...if yes, the beta is already ROOTED, as stated over MoDaCo official Android post.

You don't have to root these custom images for the Omnia II, since they are already rooted to get development running.

Please, your thread is not at all related to android development. Each ROM has a dedicated thread, with specific instructions. Please take out the time to read them. No one is here to spoon feed you!
sry. i shall post this elsewhere!

My Nexus One will not update to Ginger bread , Why ?

OK I have stock Nexus one with FRG83D, I downloaded Gingerbread from here at XDA, I tried to install it but it failed, I found a link on how some people were having issues and it took me to a link where I had to back track to FRG33 then FRG83 the to FRG83D where I am at now, did all that everything worked great but now I still get the same error when trying to install Gingerbread, any suggestions ?
thank you
You need to be on FRG83G. Apply this update then try GB again.
That did the trick installing as I type this, thank you very much.
Do you have the last version of HBOOT (hboot-0.35.0017)?
If not, download it from:
http://android.clients.google.com/packages/ota/passion/d6096cac5e9f.signed-hboot-0.35.0017.zip
install it as a rom (remember to rename it to "update.zip") and then install 2.3.3.
Enjoy!

Glad to help
FYI, this was a question. It should have been posted in the Q & A section. I can't believe how many people don't read rules.

It should be.zip, not tar. You downloaded a kernel, not rom.

MM BETA update_package.bin for ROM devs

Hi all,
as you may have already seen in the MM threads, I was the person who provided the original files in order to let Niaboc69 create his magic, the MM beta ROM for LB and UB. Props to him for figuring out how to create a zip from my original file.
Anyway, long story short, I've recieved a new beta update on my phone today (thanks Sony!) and I thought it could be easier for everybody to create this thread and post the file for everyone to be able to use it at their own leisure. I have no doubt that we'll soon have a pre rooted MM Rom for everyone.
Just to let people know though, I believe you HAVE to already be on the MM Beta Rom before installing this update, due to the size of it (424Mo).
Anyway, have fun everyone!

We need system backup again. Can not touch in this BIN file.

sorry, my bad, the correct link is in the op.
I'm not saying the file is for everyone, hence the title. For devs only...
What is the file extension? It was captured over the air? I will try to do a magic creating a .zip already with updates here.
From this guide... https://source.android.com/devices/tech/ota/
Can you please upload the contents of /cache/recovery/command
Thanks,
Do i have to clear cache, dalvik etc again to install this rom? Im already running on the first beta btw! thanks

Is performing a full system update necessary when updating a custom ROM?

Hi everyone,
Right now I am running the Nyssa Nexus Rom 2.3, but the latest version is version 3.3.1.
Will I be able to update the ROM version without performing a full wipe of my system?
I do not want to go through the hassle of re-installing all my apps.

Who will be the best person to help you than the developer, why not posting on his/her thread?

That was my thought at first, but when I went to post in the ROM's thread, I discovered that I do not have permissions to do so.
The error message suggested that I post my question in the Q/A part of the forum.
