CM7 Question - myTouch 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm looking at upgrading to CM7, and I can't find the answer to this in the FAQ (or I don't know what to look for), and search isn't working right now (telling me to try again in 20-30 minutes for the past 2 hours)...but what is the different between "nightly" and "rc" and which do I wanna go with if so?

Well since we are using *nix ark tree RC means release candidate which after comes stable release as its for consideration. On the other hand you have NB as in nightly build which are the current up to date build as it compiled and hosted soon as it comes down the pipe.
For long term you might want to consider RC. But since alot of things are always changing and patched if you do pick NB then most of us recommend you flash once a week. Now if you are flash addict like some of us we flash it soon as NB is posted hell I myself flashed it close to 20times NB#3 lol, I am not kidding here last night as I was testing flashed it many times its not even funny.

App Dock on G1?

While reading though the G1 service manual (props to mikechannon) I came across page 15. I did a search for app dock but nothing came out. Is this feature not included in the final release or what? I'm guessing it was taken out because it kinda looks like the iPhone.

im not 100% on this .. but im pretty sure that was from build 0.9 or 0.8 i kno that was the version they showed off about a year ago.. 1.0 doesn't have that dock that i know of the only way to get it is to replicate it on a wallpaper.. check out the theme dream section
Yeah this is one of the various pre-1.0 launcher designs.
So what about any chance of getting it back? Maybe I'm saying it wrong but is the coding still in or was it removed?
It was probably developed in period between the M5 preview release and the more recent 0.9 release. As such, there's probably no public code for it.

[Q]tmo hd2 android & battery

sorry for my poor english and i wish you guys can understand my words, thx lol
ive tried lots of android builds and except the tmo-only sense build
,the battery cannot last long, goes by 60mA per second
but on the tmo-only build, its 8mA per second
so im confused about if there are differences between tmo and htc hd2
that they should be seperated
or what i can do to save battery problem (all builds with 8mA)
the 2 pics, miui and tmo-only, both with the kernel r8
in miui build , display takes almost 80% of the battery use.

Questions should go in the Q&A thread since this has nothing to do with development. Just giving you a heads up.

You might be a ROM whore if................

I am pretty sure i have a problem. I am addicted to trying each and every new rom... as you can see, i have installed every rom for the new 2.3.32 version. Anyone else have this addiction? I think that if i find the right rom, that my phone may vibrate at a frequency that makes it levitate. Then maybe i can ride it like a magic carpet.
I need a support group.
Thanks..
Might wonna join this- http://forum.xda-developers.com/group.php?groupid=213
haha.. enjoy..
*sheds a tear*. You need help buddy.
LOL, I generally have three roms at a time.
So far, Darkslide is #1. RummRx is a close 2nd. Apex isn't far behind them in 3rd.
RubixFocused1.9.0 would be #1 if it liked my phone. Has the cell standby battery drain issue on my hardware. It is the fastest by far...

Let's see your myn setup

I love this rom, but my setup looks so boring. I'd like to see what themes/wallpapers/icons/widgets yall are using
look in the themes section, there is a show us your layout thread, several of them.

i used to have a pretty slick rls5 setup, but after tweaking on it for too long, it'd turned into a confusing mess of patches and mods. the lure of GB won me over, so MikG is running right now, but i might give Warm GB a shot when it comes out.

Beanstalk 5.0.2 coming very soon

remember this guy?

Awesome I have been waiting for beanstalk since ages. I hope you update as frequent as CM BUILDS BY LYSergic
Great !!
Would be better though if you wait a few hours to implement latest Lysergic acid fixes (HW decoder and some other things), AFAIK... He is gonna push them to the tree soon
Edit : sources are online... And just saw your post on CM thread...
When will the first build be released?
