[Problem] Incoming call or Message ID

Since now I have been very happy with WM and especially HTC. But now I discovered, my contact not showing correct on incoming Messages or calls.
What I mean in detail is, that my Numbers are saved to the Phone only by using a Number like: +49179123456.
My Problem is, that now my incoming Messages from saved contacts do not show the Name, because in this case the message is obviously sent by 0170123456. The only way, for now, is to save contacts twice. I already searched the forum and found similar Threads, but none of them could help.
It`s not a huge problem but a little annoying and i would be very thankful if somebody could point me in the right direction.
Greetings from a great Fan of XDA!!

Anyone have problems with contacts showing up wrong?

In the last week I have an issue where one person will call me or text me.. But their name and info comes up as someone else. It's constantly happening with 2 people in specific. I've deleted both out of my phone. Readded them.. Made sure they aren't linked or anything like that. Yet when person #1 calls me.. The phone tells me it's person #2 calling. Same when I get a text. Person 1 calls me. But I look at the phone number and it's person #2. I even did a full wipe this morning and installed a new version of the rom I'm using and it just happened again. Right away the phone is suggesting to link these 2 people bu I cleared the suggestions. The names aren't similar, the phone numbers aren't similar.. Nothing. Any ideas?
I've had the wrong pictures show up.
Sent From My HTC Evo Using Tapatalk Pro!
i had tha happen before...but it's from what you already checked. I accidently linked someone elses FB account to it and it royally messed me up...especially when I synced to outlook because it propagated all the way through.
Also to add.. I do not sync my phone to FB at all
This happened to me on a text, it picked the next entry in my contact list and I thought I had texted the wrong person, and sent the text again. Still showed up as that wrong person.
Only saw it that one time though.

Random contacts appeared in my phonebook

Sup everyone
I'm a bit concerned random numbers and names of people have appeared in my phonebook I don't know how they appeared there checked my accounts on the phone which all belong to me..
Is there a way to find out where these came from???
Thanks

problems with marshmallow and caller ID

Hi, I have Moto X Style and since I've got the update for Marshmallow yesterday the Caller ID is not working and it's not showing me the contact that is calling me. After the call I can see them on the "Recents" page but when they call its not showing me their name and photo only the number.
After awhile I've noticed that the problems is only with numbers that are saved in my contacts with the country prefix code (+972-...) and when they call me the phone shows me the number without the prefix(without the +972), so I tryed to change one of the numbers to to be without my country prefix and it recognized the number but I cant change all of my contacts so the phone will recognize them.
Does anyone else is having the same problem or knows how to fix it?
Thanks.

I saw this post before I posted my post and at first when I upgraded to Marshmallow the phone didnt recognize the contacts at all but after I signed out and reconnected to my google account as recommended there, it fixed only half of the problem. Now it's recognizing numbers that are saved in the "local form" with my country code BUT it's still just not recognizing contacts that are saved with my country code prefix in their number.

Yeah, looks like I may have the same issue.... Hoping I don't have to do a factory reset to fix this.
I have the same problem, the caller ID just doesn't seem to work, but in the SMS it kinda does

Hi,
I found several solutions for the contacts recognition problem, check out the url below (I opened the thread).
What eventually solve the problem for me was using the Twitch app mentioned in the thread.
Let me know if it helped.

FOUND A SOLUTION THAT WORKS and IS SIMPLE !!!! The credit goes to Sasha Medv :
"What solved the problem: I removed all google accounts (in Google settings), and then added them back. After 15 minutes during which I was sure my contacts were lost forever, everything returned to normal, and I even can see the contacts in past calls in the call log. Yay"
no need to wipe partitions, import export your entire google contacts to vcf and other weird stuff - simply do what this guy say ! BAAM !
