Screen wobbles when pressed on. - Epic 4G General

Is this a common issues with the Sanding Epic. It seems that screen wobbles against the keyboard when pressed on.

Yes and sprint won't fix it either

Should have done my research when I bought this phone. :/ I still like it but the wobbly screen gets annoying.

If you are under the 30-day return policy period, you should be able to get it replaced due to that reason. It is a common issue.

Anyone else with this screen problem

Around the notification bar area, touch the screen hard. Does your screen feel like its clicking in like the blackberry storm? I have a problem and I'm wondering if it's only me

Mine doesn't do that.
Are you pressing down?

Yeah, not super hard, as I don't want to break it. But a lot harder then I would be if I was trying to use the touch screen or buttons.
If I were you I'd go to best buy and ask to play with the demo. Try it on the demo, if it doesn't happen, exchange yours.
Thanks for the advice

Did you try it with the screen off or on because mine seems to do it when on only

Mine does NOT click or feel like it's clicking when touching (moderate pressure) the notification bar area (right, left or center), with the screen on or off.
None of the three Nexus S handsets I've gone through so far have done that. Take it back. Samsung's QC needs a lot of work.
Thanks alot for the replies guys. I'll be exchanging it
I unfortunately just realized I have this problem, right near the FCC woohoo 3rd nexus s
yea it sucks tell me how your exchange goes

Loss of touch screen functinality

I just started noticing that when I apply a little bit of pressure on the bezel of the screen that the touch screen is unresponsive. Anyone else notice this?

I always think this happens but it turns out I'm usually touching the screen some place else at the same time.
I noticed if my xoom is under water it doesn't work that well.

Weird. Mine works fine. Might wanna Exchange it. Could be Factory Defect.
I actually had this happen after having my Xoom in a carrying case. I had to do a hard reboot, but it came back just fine after that.
yes
I noticed this happening in the google books app. All of the sudden pages wouldn't turn, but i could go across the scroll line at the bottom. Had to reset to get it working.

Evolution Keyboard not registering

My girlfriends rooted (MIUI) evo is not registering all keys. I have tried cyanogen and miui.us 1.7.1 and 1.7.8. They keyboard functions but misses I, k and n.
I noticed actually that it effects the screen keyboard or not and doesn't register in that specific grid. Any tips? We've tried reflashing and wiping data etc. Nothing seems to be working.

When the keyboard isn't up, do those areas of the screen register?
No they don't.

Sounds like a defective screen.
If you have TEP the Sprint store can assist you.
Just recently occurred though. The device hasn't been hit with any excessive shock and the screen shows no signs of damage. Well see what we cab do though

It may just be defective.
Electronics fail.
My Evo's back button light went out the other day and it's never been dropped.
Happens.
Bummer. Guess I'll have to unroot it so she can turn it in and get it replaced.

Yeah, as long as there's no obvious physical damage it should be a very quick repair process.

Bottom touch buttons not as "touchy"?

Has anyone else seen this...my bottom "back" button (menu-home-back-search) seems to be much less responsive than it used to be...all the others seem ok... Is there a way to calibrate their sensitivity?

I don't think there is a way to calibrate those. But some thing you might want to add to the OP is what rom you are on maybe there is a setting that I don't know about.
I'm on mostly stock now... Tried out Thunderhawk's latest and saw no difference.... (with that at least)...

might be a hardware problem then. if you went back to stock and same thing is happening.
Yeah...my that's my guess too...likely that my phone just has a little hardware issue...it still works, but I frequently have to hit the back button 2 or 3 times to get it to register...sigh.

its a hardware issue. My search button isn't as sensitive as the others. Good thing I don't use that often.

[Q] home button click?

As the tittle suggests, does anyone have their home button make an audible click? When I touch mine on the right side it clicks and feels loose. Just wondering if anyone else has that.

I have that! I was wondering the same thing... and I cant replace it since I just got a 25$ zagg installed on my s4 -_-' and cant seem to find the receipt.
I called my local ATT they'll replace it without charging me a restocking fee. I'll probably do that. Just a tad worried since this is the only issue I've had with the phone. Don't want to get a bum phone.

If you get a new phone and you have more issues, you're just as entitled to an exchange as you are with this one. I have a friend who has gone through 5 phones within a month for various reasons, some admittedly a little overblown but point is, you can always exchange until you get a good one.
How much does it click, mines is a little one and I'm thinking it is cause the plastic. And my girlfriend didn't notice it like me

My new 32GB S4 has a clicky home button. I've noticed this with the S3 as well. Personally, I wish they'd do away with the physical home button. Capacitive buttons were the future. I have also noticed my S4's home button seems really flat. Doesn't stick out as I feel it should. Works absolutely fine. So I'll see how it goes in my 14 day period.
