Back when I was making a backup of my stock ROM, I only had about 1.5 GB of space on my SD card. After the backup, i deleted a few songs, but i checked the SD Card space and noticed I only had about 8MB of free space, which is about equivalent to the amount of songs I deleted. Does this mean that the backup might have been cut off? I don't want to try restore the backup to learn that I wasted my time.

I just installed the latest version of CM6 and I think the nandroid backup or something took up a huge chunk of my internal storage (maybe), but i went from about 80MB of internal storage to 15MB, then moved all my apps to my sd card and now i still only have 25MB, with 645MB on my sd card
i dont think this is normal, right?
can someone suggest ways of how to free up some internal storage space? idk what is safe to mess with and what isn't
Were ROM did you flash over? An older version of CM6 or something else? Did you remember to wipe both the cache and dalvik? If you made a nandroid backup it should go to the SD card, not internal storage. It isn't normal for the mem to be that low. I'm not sure what you should do, but I'd recommend reflashing and make sure you do all the wipes.
My NC was complaining that it was getting low on space. Lo and behold, the internal 1 GB partition was about full. I used Titanium Backup to move most of the apps to the SD card (100 apps). The NC thinks the apps are on the SD card (and I'm assuming they're actually there), but it didn't free up ANY space on the internal partition. It's like it moved the apps, but didn't delete the old files. Does anybody have any idea how I can actually free up this space? I can't move the files back from the SD card, because it says there's no room.

When you go to the apps in settings does it still have the move to SD option?

No, it's got "Move to phone". It seems to have actually moved them, but doesn't seem to have removed the original files from the internal space. I've got Root Explorer, any idea where the original files would have been installed, so I can check if they're still there?
Was playing around with Root Explorer, and it seems all the files were in /data/app in the main memory, not on the SD card. I was able to delete from there, and free up space, but now the apps won't run (since they're obviously gone). Apparently it didn't actually move them to SD card, though the system thought it did. Didn't delete TB, so I can replace the apps, but I've got to find some way of actually moving them to the SD card, or making the nook partition bigger.
What happens when you use "move to SD" from the "manage apps" application?
Rather than mess around moving Apps to SD I'd recommend the repartition option. Moving to SD was necessary with phones which were tight on internal memory but that doesn't apply to the Nook. Also it is always difficult to choose which Apps to move because they will stop working temporarily if you USB mount the SD card.
The normal 1GB data partition can get tight with a lot of apps installed. The Nook has plenty of internal memory so I repartitioned to 2GB data which gives a generous area for apps and 4GB for some basic media (pictures, music, video) and leaves the SD card free primarily for extra media, backups etc.
Following gives a guide to repartitioning. Make sure you have apps backed up before doing this.

That appears to actually move them. Not sure why titanium backup isn't. Managed to free up some space this way, but I think I'm going to repartition it, rather than have to shuffle stuff around to make room.
Can you simply just go to the applications setting and select move to sd card or does this cause problems? I did the veryGreen install of CM7 and also installed gapp but have not pulled my card back out or repartitioned it or anything since doing that. I have a 16GB card and want to get full use out of it but I like my apps and download a lot. Thanks.
Can i Remove Swapper2? i dont want it anymore.. just got 3partition 6.2 for my use 1gb for link2sd 256mb for swapper and now i dont want it any more because it lessen my sdcard life because of many write cycles? can i return it back to normal please help me out guys
I think that you must do a backup of all your apps and data with titanium backup, put sd card on pc, copy the backup to pc, use partition minitool, delete the partitions and create the ones you want. Then put the backup on sd card and use titanium backup to restore all your data.
Hi all;
Have an ATT i337 S4 rooted and I want to upgrade my SD card from 32 to 64Gb. I do have some applications on the sd card. Using Titanium Backup Pro can I do a full backup and restore to the new SD card including applications or do I have to move applications back to phone, do the backup, restore and then move it back apps to the SD card.
Thanks

If you have a pc, move everything to your pc, insert your new sd and move everything from your pc to your new sd.
You can also do this with moving all to the phone memory (make sure to make a folder inside the phone mem to prevent merging)
Even the apps? As long as I could read everywhere the apps won't work by just copying them to PC and Back....
Hi,
Just tested here using Titanium Backup normal. It successfully backed up and restored an app that was installed in my sdcard. App was also reinstalled in sdcard.
By the way, in PC you will be able to backup internal and external sdcard only! Those folders like /data, where your apps actually are, won't be able to be backed up.

Are these files safe to delete? I was under the impression that with this being a 16gb phone I wouldn't be fighting for internal storage space after owning the phone just a few days and less than 10 installed apps.
Looks like your own backups... your internal storage wouldn't be full if you bothered to use a sd card.
If one does have an external SD card, I don't recall if TWRP defaults to storing there or if you need to select external SD - something to check on for TWRP newbies.

I've found TWRP to usually default to internal storage on every run, but once you set up the path/naming for your backups it usually sticks.
It seems like you are toying around with TWRP, possibly attempting to get ready to flash a custom rom. Given half the storage is system files, you'd barely be able to backup said default files to internal storage without running out of space.
You could always backup these files to a computer, delete them from the phone to free up enough space to download a rom (of which you should verify the md5 checksum), and hope everything goes perfectly.
If anything goes wrong, you'll need access to a computer and either use some advanced fastboot commands or.. an sd card, which you can easily swap on to a computer to download custom roms or backup files.
I would recommend getting a micro SD card for TWRP backups to avoid being fully dependent on a PC or internal storage. I like to have at least two TWRP backups on my micro SD. I know this phone works with 128GB - not sure about larger.
